When you do a face up, do you have to use mr.super clear or does something else work too? I just got a new faceplate for my pukipuki but it's blank and I really want to give her a face up. I've never done it before, and i'm really excited, but I don't want to do anything wrong.
I haven't done a face-up yet, but I do have Mr. Super Clear Flat that is often recommended. I am getting closer to casting my doll's head in resin so I can try doing a face up.
I do like MSC but it's not always easy or cheap to buy so I use other brands, there are a lot of matte acrylic solvent based varnishes out there and some seem to give a nicer finish than others. I've tried Testors and Humbrol and I think I do like MSC best but I dont know why theres so much fuss about it in the doll hobby. Have fun with the faceup ^^
