Question about a Popovy Doll , Blue Jay

    1. Hello :)

      I would like to buy a sister to my little owl doll, from Popovy sisters, and i chose Blue Jay , but on their website i see only a blue jay version available , with painted eyes ... Do you know if a Blue Jay with holes for separate eyes exist ?

    2. I am pretty sure there is no Blue Jay sculpt with open eyes. I remember searching for one a few years back because I liked her the best (aside from Peewit and Little Owl). But unfortunately, I don't think they made one, and if I remember the rules here correctly she wouldn't be considered "on topic" even if her eyes were modded open. Although of course that doesn't mean you couldn't mod them and just enjoy her off-DOA!

    4. It's still a BJD in the sense that it's is a ball jointed doll. Still a nice doll, just not on topic for this forum. They have to draw the line some where, after all.
      Read up on the rules for what is considered on topic and if you are still unsure, ask the mods.
      Off topic dolls can still be discussed in the off topic forum, Brigadoon.

    5. Thanks. I have just read the rules and i understand now why Blue Jay is not allowed :) Thanks for the link.
      Anyway my choice finally goes to Cuckoo , so it solves the problem as this doll has removable eyes :)
