FiberSpider on Youtube made a great video with step by step instructions on a Queen Anne's Lace Scarf. If you use size 10 lace yarn and a 1mm hook and follow the video exactly, you will get an SD sized version of this scarf. I made my SD sized scarf approximately 28 inches. You can make yours as long as you like by continuing the same steps until you reach the desired style. You could also use it as a thicker scarf for MSD sized dolls, or even replace the size 10 with a smaller thread.. For those who don't like following along with videos, I will include a written pattern as well. This pattern was done with Aunt Lydia's size 10 lace yarn and a 1mm hook Key: Ch - chain SC - Single Crochet DC - Double crochet SlSt - slip stitch Semi-circle 1: Start with a slipknot and Ch6, SlSt in first Ch to create a loop (do not use a magic circle, as the CH6 will show), Ch3, 13 DC into loop, Ch 1, turn, SC into first 2 DC, Ch4, without skipping any stitches 2SC, Ch4, 2SC, Ch4, repeat 2SC and Ch 4 until end of DC row. After your last Ch4, SC into next stitch, SC into space created by the Ch3 of the DC row. Semi-circle 2: Ch 6, turn, SlSt into closest Ch4 loop, Ch 3, turn, 13DC into Ch6 l SlSt into top of Ch 3 from last semi-circle (this will connect the two semi-circles), Ch 1, turn. Repeat 2SC, Ch 4 process until end of semi-cirlce. Semi-circle 3: Ch 6, turn, SlSt into the last Ch 4 loop you created, Ch 3, turn, 13DC in Ch6 loop, SlSt in closest Ch 4 loop from Semi-circle 2, Ch 1, turn. Repeat 2SC, Ch 4 process until end of semi-circle. Repeat Semi-circle 3 until desired length. Finishing: SlSt in closest Ch4 space from second to last semi-circle. Weave in ends.
Oh that's really pretty, thank you for sharing. I wasn't acquainted with the term Queen Anne scarf, it's very beautiful. Are they traditionally black or is it a nice touch that you added? I have a color loving girl who might need this...^^
I just used black because I like the way black looks on my doll the video I watched used a nice grey color. I think this would look great in a red or a pastel
@RavenNight Oh I see, thank you! I'm thinking of a lace yarn with color gradation, now I just have to find time - too many projects going on at the same time
