Materials purchasing elastic and a hooks

    1. Hi dollmaking friends, i was wondering about advice for where to buy / find quality elastic and small enough s hooks for bjd making. Ive mostly only been able to find very craft quality (weak and too stretchy) elastics and haven’t come across any the right size for my dolls wrists/ ankles, so i was curious where others get them!

      Preferably in a larger / bulk quantity, not just like enough for one doll :-)

    2. I make my own hooks. I buy galvanized steel wire and I have made a jig for forming it.

      Elastic depends on the sizes you need and what kind of stores are available to you. I have had some luck with sewing notion stores (proper ones, not just a sewing section of a craft or fabric store) and have been allowed to buy in bulk though them. But be aware that not all elastic is created equal, you may need some trial and error to find good elastic. And it ages as well, so don't over buy.
