Prototype printing services?

Mar 12, 2023

    1. Hello Artists :D I love to make 3d models, and thought it could be a fun vanity project to model, print, and cast some dolls of my own creation. I've done a lot of research on having a doll cast. However, I don't have a proper space in my home for resin printing and won't for some years.

I know of the most popular casting companies for BJDs. But does anyone have recommendations, for a resin printing service, so I can print out my master and make any needed adjustments before sending her to a casting company? Or can recommend a good way to search for them? I've been having some trouble looking at these printing services, where these websites are very technical and a bit confusing from an artist perspective :blush Is there anyone you could recommend? Maybe someone who specialize in dolls and toys, maybe even specialize just in BJDs, so they could help me with any model preparation flaws so we don't waste too much materials in making her? Thank you for any advice you can give:hug:

    2. depending on your location and country you might want to see if you have a makerspace nearby. they often have 3d printers including resin printers. some libraries also offer a program where you can take a resin printing class and then claim a timeslot to use it
