Large Protagonist (DD Candy)

While fussing with Fauve recently, I realized from her head marking that the sculpt itself reaches vintage this year. I'm not exactly a DD expert, but some reading told me that this is in fact the 20th anniversary year of the initial release of Dollfie Dream, and that the Candy sculpt was one of the first two models that were on the DD1, strung with elastic.
What an honor to have such a friend in the house! And also it gave me an idea, to make her an outfit fit for an early 2000s shojo character. I hope you will enjoy her look.

Thank you @Jareth I am very big on the kind eyed dolls. I was very proud of that hat! Somehow it came out exactly how I hoped even though I was making it on impulse as a first draft and truly planning to fail and abandon the idea never to return to it, but instead red soft hat was born! I am planning to make her a big ugly purse to match it actually.

In the end it's nice for me to reflect on that -- remembering all the things that I was enamored with or were in my life way back that brought me into the hobby as well

 

Thank you so much @Rabbit-moon I don't think my actual girl is that old (her head) but she's old enough it's still a weird bit of perspective for me to look back and realize how far back it is weird but cool!

 

Thank you @Gamma Ray the anime back then was so fun and wacky. There are a lot of series I still hope to someday watch I hope to keep making her more outfits in this style!
