inset lower right is the back of the jumpsuit.

Composite:

Upper left is the pile of rejected wigs. Reasons: Magenta - "not curly enough"; Green - "can't see my headband"; Orange - "my gym bag is orange"; Blue - "my warmup jacket is blue". So we went with the red. I should have made a black one. She wouldn't wear her white wig since the outfit didn't have any white in it (what looks like white in some shots is actually lime green).
Upper right is the yarn and crochet hook (steel 12) used to make the gym bag.
Lower left is the yarn and needles (000) that I used to make the jacket.
Both yarns are 75% angora/25% silk. I had to hide both pieces from my cat.
EDIT: Yarns are 75% alpaca/25% silk. Duh!
Lower right shows all the accessory pieces that went into this set. She stole the shoes from my Ginny doll.

She surprised me by actually trying to do some exercises! I hope it was all right to do it as landscape. Trying to make it portrait lost a lot of detail.

Extra:

Unfortunately the exercising didn't last very long. She decided a nice long rest in her lounge chair with a few bottles of wine were more the order of the day.

I hope you like - I had fun doing this one. It isn't often that I put this much detail into an outfit, especially this size.
The colors are way off in some of the shots and the red wig didn't want to photograph well at all - I even switched cameras, but it didn't help.

Oh. Dear. Ope's begging me to jump in on this one...but her idea of a workout is a little different. She's a trapeze artist--not much of a runner or aerobics babe. Hmm.

 

So quick question just because Miss Emily brought up a good point. For the workout or jogging outfit..do you mean specifically like working out Yoga, weights etc...or in Miss Emily's case if she is a trapeze artist would what ever outfit the doll uses to workout or practice in would that be acceptable? though I assume most workout or pratice outfits would be similar regardless of what you do to workout?

 

The game STARTED =D

 

yay! Might actually start and finish this one early since I have other projects that are in need of getting started very soon.

 

Fabric chosen..already made the pattern and worked on the mock up...ready to cut out the fabric now and sew! Told ya I was going to get this done early.

 

I'm ahead of schedule too, but Barb is undecided about her wig. She has four more choices for me to get for her. Sigh!
The basic suit is done, all hand-stitched, but there is a list of accessories that have to be made and gathered. Some I have finished and others are still in the planning stage.



She's in the mockup - the actual suit is on the bottom left, corrections made, already cut out. The pattern is upper right. The thread she is sitting on is silk, the only color I own but perfect for this outfit. And this has to be one of the cheapest outfits I've ever done. The print is actually a stretch book cover I paid two dollars for at Staples and the green is the neck ribbing and facing piece off of a lightweight knit sweatshirt I got for a dollar last year. The rest of the shirt has made leotards, sweaters, and slacks for various sized dolls, and I still have lots left for more things.

 

I almost forgot I had entered the contest this time around I went shopping today to gather materials and I'm so happy that I ended up waaaaay underbudget! Now to start sewing...

 

I did sketch out an idea for my design, though I'm not sure about the exact colours yet. I'll decide on that when I go shopping for fabric

 

I got this weekend free, but today, it was cancelled, I need to go to work
I was hoping I can finish this in time, but life is always in the way

 

Almost done although going to the gym myself tonight so hopefully I'll have time to finish before or after, maybe I'll get inspired to make some type of gym related prop..lol

 

I have my plans sketched out but do not have a scanner to post any photographs. I am getting fabric tomorrow on my day off.

Kitty Blue - Her outfit looks great! I'm not even half done yet >.< I've been busy with life but I'm slowly making my way to complete it.

 

Kitty Blue, that's great! I haven't even started. Not sure I'll be able to do it this month. Got taxes to prep. Yuck. And I've been doing spring cleaning. And I have three book covers to get done before the end of the month. So...might have to bow out. But I'll see what this week brings.

 

Inspiration pic.. I had Jane Fonda in mind the moment I saw this challenge .. the one piece, the tights, the leg warmers. I may add another piece .

Not happy with what I've got. Been trying to fit it into the cracks in the day and it shows. If I can get a day to just DO it, I'll have something. Likely to need an extension. Bad month. Taxes and garden coming to life on top of the usual 25 hour work day. Sigh...

 

Hooray! After a super-crazy month I finally found a small window of opportunity, put my head down and got 'er done! Whew!

 

adorable! love it...I was going to go more colorful with mine but just knew that was the only time I had to get it done since I'm so busy with other stuff so kinda settle for just a splash

 

The last piece is blocked and drying, so I should be able to post in a day or so.

Love the outfits that are up right now, and I can't wait to see the rest!

LadyFeather: so darned cute! Only thing that might possibly just send it over the moon rather than out of the ballpark would be cutting the fabric so she had a nice big peace sign on her other round little rump! Adorable.

I'm afraid I'll have to drop out, even with an extension I still won't have time to finish I've just been way too busy...
