Milu Pandolla Hello all! I’m finally beginning a project that’s been quietly waiting its turn. This is my Milu Pandolla, who I think of as a kind of Hobbit: small, homebound, chronically ill, and deeply observant. She spends most of her life indoors, tucked into the safety of her room, dreaming of adventures she may never physically take… but which feel very real to her nonetheless. This project isn’t about perfection or speed. It’s about tenderness, restraint, and listening. I’m letting her tell me who she is as we go — through colour choices, soft face-up decisions, and the slow accumulation of small details rather than big statement. I’ve started with a very light, natural face-up focused on translucency and fragility rather than drama. Right now I’m working through eye and expression refinement, and I’m allowing myself to pause often to reassess mood and story before sealing or committing. I don’t yet know what her final hair, clothing, or even expression will be, only that she feels like someone who lives close to the hearth, close to her thoughts, and close to imagined worlds beyond her window. I’ll be using this journal to document process, questions, false starts, and small discoveries. Thank you for reading along.
It's shaping up very cute so far! I love the freckles!
