I'm through playing with Kains sculpt..I revamped his nose and sanded him a bit..He was a lot of fun and a lesson in sculpting..He's now headed for my growing pile of practice sculpts...but here is a final pic of him..I'm getting closer to a sculpt worth casting..I guess I just need to keep at it..lol Well I started on another project..lol..This one is quite a bit bigger than Touji (my avatar)..some of you may remember me making him...here are the bits and pieces I have made so far..I wasn't going to post any in progress pics but I'm bored to death...his tummy is a different color cause I just added a bit more to it and it is somewhat lighter for some reason ...I have much to do on the bottom half and his..uuummm..jibblies are bleeped for modesty reasons..lol..he's definately an older sculpt..Thanks for lookin
aaaaaawwww! Thanks Setsuna :grin: ...I'm just a dabbler...I get all inspired by everyone making dolls..Especially like Donn (His talent amazes me)..and YOU (can't wait to see yours teasers kill me..lol)..Brushwithlife, and Batchix (man oh man how'd she make so many)..just to name a few..

Exactly...many, many talented people...and me wishin I had everyone elses talent..lol Well from the top of his neck to the bottom of his pelvic region ops: is measuring in at about 10" I have no legs yet, but I want him to have long lanky legs, add a head to that, and I'm pretty sure he's gonna be fairly big ..lol
I loved your little BJD, and I can't wait to see this one! He's looking so nicely proportioned already, just in the torso. *loves*
His hand is so beautiful! Is he going to have a tummy joint?(prolly a dumb question lol) It looks like either cernit or Fimo? Anyway you do as Setsuna says have loads of talent! :grin:

Cheshiretiffy yes he is polymer clay (prosculpt) but I think the lighter may be super sculpy (thats what I get for putting supplies in bags and forgetting to mark them), he's turning out a lot stronger than Touji did just because of his size and thickness, I'm real happy about that! I will be posting more pics :grin: Oboro I actally revamped his tummy last night after I posted the pics (I wasn't quite happy witn the look of it..lol) I may end up giving him a waist joint, depending on how happy I am with his overall look..If he doesn't look the way I want him to I may go for the waist joint for posablity sake Dechanique Yep when he's baked (only his hand and lower arm are backed so far) I will sand, drill, and string him...just to make sure everything fits into place and he looks nice and cleaned up (no ripplies or wacky spots..lol) I hope I got everyone thanks again for the nice posts

Hes awesome!!!, i didnt see this till tonight, you told me you were wroking on something but i completely misssed this post, you shold have said somethign in your emails..ive been so busy i havent been actually looking around on DOA so ive missed allot and you are too modest, you are a really really good sculptor I really cant wait to see him finished, and i hope your doing well
Donn..Your just tooooo kind...lol...I am very critical of my own work though...but since he's a fun project I'm trying not to be...and I'm just about back to 100%..measels at 36 is hell on wheels..lol..but I've started back on him..I'm glad you like it so far :grin: Dechanique..Donn's my sculpting hero..lol..and he's so very nice, how can anyone not be inspired by him, his cup does runeth over with tallent..lol.. Well for an update..I have been a bit under the weather for a while but I'm feelin better and I have made some adjustments on the torso...I took Oboro's advice and he's now a jointed torso..as soon as I get a bit more done on him I'll post some pics

You did a superb job on him. When I first saw the picture I thought it was a regular head that had been repainted, and I was wondering what it was doing here and not on the customizer's forum. Really great work. I am so impressed. The body looks fab too. Fairysquisher

Wow! That last picture is scary! You're going to carve into his mouth? Say it ain't so. It's so pretty...maybe you should make a mold of this face first and then duplicate it and resculpt on that one. You could have brothers and call one Kain and the other Able. I'm glad to see your on his side..lol..if it makes you feel any better I was just reading the Halloween contest rules and I don't think I can use him (eyeballs Ren) LOL so he's spared..Darn now I have to see what I can do with my Ren without doin any perm. modding :grin:
