Negative Feedback Problem Transaction with Slersk - Resolution via paypal only

    1. I purchased a doll off the DOA marketplace, a LUTS Satyros for $880. The doll was advertised as "no damages" Unfortunately, when I received this doll, the entire lower half was covered with resin scratches and paint chipping. Lots of it. I have put in a dispute with Paypal and asked for half the money back.

      I have messaged Slersk about this, but she says this is a “miscommunication” She claims the massive paint chipping are normal wear and tear. Even if they are, maybe you could have told me this before making me pay full price for the doll and not marked the ad as “no damages”? This is not a misunderstanding, it’s lying. Not to mention, even if this excuse covers the paint chipping, there are tons of resin scratches on this doll as well. This doll is heavily played with and poorly strung together. Not worth the price she was asking!

      She now wants to refund only half the money, send back the doll to her, and close the case. Not a chance. This is not how Paypal even works on their protection policies. You only refund partially when the buyer keeps the item, which she is not giving me the option to do. She wants it both ways.

      I paid full price for a doll with no damage, but got something that was far from advertised. The original pics on the ad of this doll are rather dark. I realize this was not because of poor lighting, but rather to hide all the damage this doll currently has. Attached to this post are screen shots of the DOA ad and the damage:

    3. Eleniel, I have messaged Slersk about this thread. She is also refusing to speak to PayPal. Id like to work out some kind of negotiations with her, but she is not responding right now :(
       
    4. These threads exist as a way to attempt to work out problem transactions in a publicly accountable manner and are particularly useful when negotiations have broken down.
      Please keep this thread updated (including periodically updating to let us know if she continues to refuse to discuss things with you).

    7. Be that as it may, unless you want to issue me a full refund on PayPal so I can return the doll and make this right, I cannot close the claim. I want to return the doll and I want this over with, but I know I can't trust you anymore. Saying you didn't mean to mislead me is kind of meaningless without some kind of reasoning or justification behind it.

    8. Small update, I was harassed and name called for the better part of the morning by Slersk to close the claim and refund her privately. She still refuses to speak to PayPal and will only promise to pay me back over PM. I will NOT close the claim. Communications have broken down between us. Let PayPal figure the rest of this mess out.
       
    9. Slerk, stop messaging me and asking me to close the claim. I'd like to think I'm not a complete idiot. No means no :(
       
    10. PayPal has refunded me half of the money this morning with the condition the item/doll does not need to be returned. This was my original offer to Slersk over PayPal, which she decided to completely ignore. I consider this resolved, though it had nothing to do with the seller's cooperation. I recommend staying away from this seller's transactions at all costs.
