66cm+ Dolls Pray for me (Dollmore Trinity M unboxing)

Sep 23, 2024

    1. I love big dolls. Love them. Want only big dolls in my collection.
      This guy almost broke me.

Dollmore Trinity M Grayson: ordered January 19, 2024 on layaway (paid in full June 30, 2024); shipped to me Friday, September 20, 2024; received today, Monday, September 23, 2024 (I live right next to a major FedEx hub, and boy am I spoiled). He's the bastard lawyer (it's really unfriendly :whee:). I ordered him during the promotion, which included a Dollmore Trinity carrying bag, face-up, and a wig, but no stand or clothes. I ordered a stand for him. He stands at 122 cm or 4 feet tall, and he weighs 40 pounds or 19 kg. He is. So heavy.

      Here is his box:

Compared to Iris, sitting, who is 180 cm or 6 feet tall:

      Release the mummy:

In this pic, the mummy is standing, and I have him wedged between my knees while sitting on a chair:

      Gift pants (thank you, Dollmore):

At this point, I had been unwrapping for a solid 30 minutes. I think Dollmore uses an entire roll of packing tape for each Trinity boy.

      Part 1...

    2. Hands were wrapped separately from doll. Lovely sculpting. Please forgive the blur - he's so heavy, it was hard to keep my hands steady to take pictures.

Obligatory NSFW pic of his eggplant, which is sculpted on and not removable:

      Here lies my son:

      Feet:

      Instead of an s-hook, he's got a massive, paper-tape-wrapped black o-ring:

    4. I saw thigh ridges, and so I bent him over my knees:

Then I got tired and put him in my office chair:

Pre-hand swap. I like how he looks like he's saying, "What did I do?!?"

Oh - look how tall this dude is. He's right at US-code light switch height.

One massive fight later, he has pants and hands.

How does he pose? No idea.
I am exhausted and need a nap.

      Fin.

      Editing to add:
He's dressed now. He is quite versatile: coat rack, doll assistant, and according to my cats, scratching post (he was promptly moved):

Two dolls, both alike in infamy

Shirt is boys US size 4, and shoes are toddler US size 10T. Combined, they were less than $20 from Walmart. You'll find me in the kids section...

    5. He is absolutely gorgeous! The picture at light switch level really puts into context how absolutely MASSIVE he is. The sculpting details are breathtaking! So glad he arrived safely!

    6. He is astonishingly heavy. I have 40-pound bags of kitty litter that feel lighter. He's so lanky, it's hard to keep him together, if you know what I mean. Thank you!

Thank you! He is massive. I've got to figure out how to get Iris to stand so I can get a comparison pic of him, Iris, and Elysia. The sculpting is very beautiful, I agree. Now, Dollmore... how about Trinity F? :eusa_pray

    7. You're too tired to play?! Don't worry!! I'm on my way! I'll play with him for you!! :aeyepop:

His thighs aren't string the way I expected. I'd love to check this guy out. There's gotta be some tricks to getting a doll this massive to be strung together. I hope you have a wheelbarrow for your next doll meet!

    8. Oh my goodness, I would be dead haha - he's nearly as tall as I am (5'2"). Very impressive!

How is the resin color? I was told lately that Dollmore "Normal" is very pink, but he looks like a natural peach (although I don't know if they cast these big ladies/guys in a different resin).

I hope you won't be too sore tomorrow after all this doll wrangling!

    9. Christ, he's large! He looks surprised as well :sweat I guess it's hard to keep on a really unfriendly lawyer face when bent over someone's knee, naked :sweat Congrats on the arrival of your gym subscription!

    10. Come on over! I've got a pot of coffee going.
You will be getting your wish soon. A string popped out while he was bent over my knee. I suspect he's going to need restrung. And yes - I will need a wheelbarrow to bring this fella to the next meet.

Oh, sorry, I should have mentioned that my office has very warm (yellow) lighting. He is definitely the Dollmore new pink.

When you're right, you're right. I'm going to have to start lifting heavy to handle this guy. :XD:

    11. Thank you for answering my question about the color! At least Dollmore is consistent!

Good luck with the stringing if you do end up having to restring him - it sounds like a very intimidating task haha

    12. Holy hell, he's a big lad! Good luck wrangling him into posing!

    13. Congratulations, such a nice dolly. I hope you are okey with all this gym. :)
Interesting hooks for hands. I think you don't need to pull string when you place hand, isn't it?

      • x 1
    14. The stringing hooks are helpful, but also not helpful. Dollmore casts the elastic hook as part of the hand (and foot), but then there is a cap that goes over the hook. I needed a thin stringing tool to pull the elastic through the cap before attaching the hand.
I suspect Dollmore put the stringing ends in to protect the hands during shipping. My prior order from Dollmore arrived with one hand partially broken. They sent a replacement hand quickly, and I urged them to make a claim with FedEx. I hope they did it.
He is a little gym. Carrying him around is a workout!

    15. wow these pictures are intense! so big! I enjoyed your light-hearted comments throughout.

    16. You got the unfriendly lawyer!! He's amazing! I cannot even start to comprehend HOW much the tension has to be to keep him together and articulate! :wiggle
Everything aside though, congrats! Seeing him next to everyone else, and in that desk chair really hits home his astonishing scale. Just, wow. What a well-crafted hunk of resin lawyer he is! Hope to see him in maaaannny more pics!

    17. @MaleficentMrsofEvil Crivvens, he’s a tall lad! I find myself struggling with a 66cm doll, that one would kill me as I’m a short-arse (5’ 4”).:aeyepop:
An old memory popped into my head as I looked at the later pics when you’d managed to wrangle some clothes onto him, a memory from over 30 years ago of when I worked for a clothing concession in a store.
It was of the time I had to dress a mannequin that was taller than me, the lower torso and legs were all one unit, she was designed with her legs apart (one foot in front of the other kind of pose in case anyone’s brain instantly jumped into the gutter) and they wanted her dressed in a non-stretchy tight skirted outfit with tights (pantyhose). Somehow I managed it, went through several pairs of tights in the process and boy it was a battle and a half! I’m just thankful smartphones were not around back then.*_*

    18. I'm in total awe of his size and the DETAIL in his sculpt!! And 40 pounds of doll has to be so exhausting to dress and pose, but worth it for this Distinguished Gentleman

    19. These are all so awesome! He is huge!! I love that he takes children's clothes! He seems about the size of some of my Reborn Toddlers.

    20. ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY TWO CENTIMETERS wow, congratulations on your beautiful new roommate!

    21. "Why do you like big dolls?!?" This reaction right here. :XD::XD::XD:
I did restring him. It wasn't bad - just required two people, the floor, and feet on doll while PULLLLLLLL.
His knees look double-jointed, but they are NOT. Dollmore superglued the bottom half of the peanut into to calf joint and WHY. WHY, Dollmore, WHY.
You'll find me over in Project Journal land. He's getting a little 3-piece suit, and it's going to be stinking adorable.

    22. wooo he is big and beautiful.
Whether you like sewing, fashion or cosplay, you will enjoy it.:thumbup
