Negative Feedback poupees de mes reves

May 20, 2025

    1. We agreed to cancel the sell. The buyer @poupees de mes reves stated that the money to be returned should be "x" amount of dollars and asked for it to be returned to them PayPal by "friends and family". Before I did the return, I warned her that my account was a business account. (PayPal decided a couple of years ago that because of the amount of trouble that was caused with "friends and family" transactions after 2020, PayPal Business Accounts were forbidden from doing "friends and family" transactions.
So, if I SENT the money with a new transaction, we could both get a fee. I had hoped that using the refund button to would give back all of the money. The buyer said it did not. I gave PayPal a call and asked if the buyer received any fees when the money was refunded. The representative told me that there was no fees and the money the buyer was out was due to the currency exchange rate changing. I informed the buyer of the conversation. I wanted to know if the buyer was out any fees and asked for some type of e-mail or receipts from PayPal that would confirm any fees or other money that the buyer is missing. I was giving the buyer two weeks to provide the proof. And, I hoped that we could figure out what money could be due to the buyer. And, I wanted everything resolved within one month.
Instead of showing me receipts, this ended up with the buyer leaving me negative feedback.

The sell was made in April and I canceled the sell in May. I started to process the refund a week after we agreed to cancel.
I am not sure how to best resolve this or if I should consider this resolved. I hope that there are some neutral parties that could help us resolve what might be the problems with the transaction.

I decided that we should cancel because the box returned to me. This was my first time sending international and I did not know that sending to the buyer's region, I needed extra descriptions of the item inside of the box.
I was not going to ask the buyer to send the shipping cost again for my mistake. I could have asked because we haggled on the price of the merchandise. But, the buyer could be out extra money if I tried sending it again (changing tariffs). I made my decision to cancel because I assumed that both of us would not want to pay another cent more on this (buyer due to the import and myself being out of pocket for now having to be out of pocket for shipping costs). So, ...this dispute, it's a bit of an ironic dispute.

    2. * I did not mean "two weeks to provide the proof". It was four weeks to get everything together and see where any money is missing or fees charged. I told the buyer: "I will give you until the end of the month, to let me know if you are planning to ask PayPal why the amount they gave you back was different." It is better to get a break down of everything that happened in a timely matter from PayPal, to figure out why there is any missing money at all and if there is missing money.

    3. I am not sure about posting details of payments publicly.

I'm waiting for the money to go back into my Paypal account. I hope to refund you before the holiday weekend this month, here.
By the way, PayPal forced my account to be a business account long time ago.

I called PayPal. The refund was "paid in full", but I was told that the difference you received was because the exchange rate between USD and EUR changed.
But, maybe you can contact PayPal and see if they can refund it or if there were any fees charged to you (between eur and usd). Please get it in writing from PayPal, break down of: Currency Conversion Fee (not refunded) + money you are out due to Exchange Rate + anything else = < REDACTED > eur. I would like that information before June 17th, so that I can make the best decision by June 21st.
I would also like to remind you that I am out over < REDACTED > Eur for the shipping, since I have refunded everything. I will give you until the end of the month, to let me know if you are planning to ask PayPal why the amount they gave you back was different.

I won't ask PayPal because it's your fault. I asked you to pay me in euros, not dollars. I also asked you to pay between friends, which leaves the expenses up to you. Finally, I'm not responsible for sending your package. If you make any mistakes, I'm not responsible.
I think you never actually sent a package. You must have gotten a better offer to sell that head in the US. You pretend to be innocent, but you're not.

    5. At no time, did either one of us formally agreed to pay one another's fees. I'll leave it up to any third party looking at this, if that's debatable. Neither of us even has sent proof of any fees to one another. This was the sell contract: "Payments more than 14 days late (or cancellation of sell): sell is canceled, money will be returned to buyer (less non-refundable deposit) no later than 16 days after cancellation.
for layaway (or pay deposit, then in full later): $60 non-refundable deposit".
The reversing of the transaction (refund) was done within 30 days of the original payment. I also gave the buyer their deposit back; the never needed to ask for it. (Let me know if I would have been required to attempt a resend, if it was a "no refunds" contract.) Please note, in one of my prior posts, that the buyer's current decision is not to pursue the payment vendor for any money lost in the refund process. Then, the buyer left me a feedback. So, I will take that as the buyer does not need my help if they decide to dispute the payment vendor on that, later. (The money they claim is missing could be a glitch. I think they might have 60 days to dispute billing mistakes between themselves and the vendor.)

    6. Please note that the two weeks are up, so I will take it that the buyer's final decision is not pursue the payment vendor for any money that they claim was missing from the return. I have not made any contact with the buyer since starting this thread. The buyer has not contacted me about anything.

The buyer had left me a negative feedback before proving any fees associated with the dispute. I have also proven here that the head has not been double sold. I at least need to know if it is okay to update the sales page for the item, showing that I still possess the item.

Can I consider this transaction finished? May I leave a feedback for the buyer now?

    7. to address idrisfynn. (I don't receive DOA messages in my inbox. If you hadn't sent me a personal email, I wouldn't know.
I'm French, so I didn't pay attention to using the transaction thread problem choice because long time ago we can used feedback
to explain probleme so since I did not have problème with my sellers. so sorry for this inconvience. .Also sometimes I don't understand your american rules on DOA.
When I buy something on DOA, I look at the person's feedback. There is no post on the seller's profile page below the feedback to indicate that the seller had a problem or problems selling.
Finally, you could have sent me a message before putting a Paging flag. It's unpleasant to be threatened when you are honest foreigner..

      So
I'm usually wary of sellers who don't have much feedback. I finally trusted someone who turned out to be dishonest.
      I think this.
I think Tinyflame probably resold more expensive the doll head to someone else for more after agreeing to sell it to me.

When she wrote to me that her box had been returned to her with the reason "toy", I asked her for a photo of the box and the return document but I did not receive it. The tracking number continued to work a week after she gave me this information. I found this strange. I am even more surprised that a package would be returned for the reason "toy"? In this case, customs opens the package and checks.

She decided not to send it again so as not to pay for shipping twice. The mistake, if there is a mistake, is her fault. She doesn't take responsibility for these mistake. The one who was left behind is me.
She offered to refund me. I accepted (because she was being dishonest), but I specified that the refund amount had to be in euros so I wouldn't have to pay the exchange rate difference. She didn't respect my request and pay in USD. I asked her to pay through the friend's system so that the PayPal fees would be her responsibility and not mine. (When you return funds, fees are charged by PayPal to the recipient.) So I didn't receive the amount I had originally paid.

I decided to put a bad feedback.

"When leaving negative feedback, post a link in the member's feedback thread." Explain me how to do ? IDRISFYNN thank you in advance..

    8. @poupees de mes reves -

Is your above message your Negative Feedback for tinyflame?
If not, make another post giving your complete negative feedback for this transaction. Then you can make a post in tinyflame's feedback thread saying something like, "Negative Feedback for tinyflame" and turn that into a link to this thread.

      @tinyflame -

The same for you, if you wish to leave Negative Feedback, please post it in this thread. You can then leave a link to this thread in poupees de mes reves feedback thread.

Once that is done, I will turn this entire thread into a mutual negative feedback thread.

    9. I would not recommend.

Buyer only wants to pay friends and family. Claimed that I owed extra money before I reversed the transaction. Told me that they did not get their full refund, and refused my help to figure out if any money was missing from their refund. They decided to leave a negative review, instead of opening a dispute on DoA. Seeing how little money this was over, I would suggest that this person to never do a Friends and Family transaction and as a seller I would suggest to avoid doing a friends and family with this person. If losing that little money was TOO MUCH, I can only imagine how devastating a Friends and Family transaction that goes wrong would be for this person.
