Most pictures I see on this forum are from Flickr

"Den of Angels does not host images, so you are not able to upload an image with your post. You will need to post the images to an external account like Flickr or your own website.

Once you've uploaded your photos, copy the URL of your image. The URL should end in jpg, gif or png. Some sites, like Etsy and Facebook, may have image URLs that will not work on DoA.

In the editing box on DoA, click the image icon:

Paste in your image URL and click Insert."

 

You can also use Imgur. It's pretty simple and has an app as well.

 

Imgur is pretty easy in my opinion

 

For newbies we need a thread with visual images to help especially if English not first language. Maybe someone with photo skills could do that.

 

How do I get my Flickr pics to show up in the post? I can only post the url link. Do I have to use a laptop?

You want the BBcode option if you're on a computer, or to get a direct link to the image itself. I don't think it does that for you on a phone, and it doesn't give you a direct link to the image itself. Flickr is a little inconvenient that way.

If you want to post mostly from your phone, I recommend using something else--I personally use Imgur, although I know there's a bunch like that. Imgur works for me, so I don't know of many others off the top of my head. It'll generate the BBCode for you, or give you a direct link to the image so you can use the Insert Image option on the forum text editor.
