Popodoll 63cm Male Doll/body

Seconding this! I definitely love the torso sculpt, it's the kind of ripped that isn't too beefy AND looks great, and the price tag's very nice too-- although I'm slightly on the fence cuz of those dratted knee joints. D|

 

Oh, this body is lovely! I wish I were looking for a 63cm boy, but I just bought one a week ago! The knees don't bother me at all, really. It's just odd, because they don't look double jointed at first glance.

 

Yeah OTL. I s'pose it wouldn't hurt for my boy to just live in jeans. XD;

 

I love this body and I have a dollzone head I'd like to add to it. Anyone have experience with how the resin colors compare with WS and NS?

 

I love this body. Does anyone know if Leekeworld L head(Mihael specifically) would look good on this body? I've heard it looks good on a 68cm, but that's a bit too large for the character I had in mind.

 

If you don't mind it not being on this body, I have a dollzone/popodoll hybrid in WS and I can say that the match actually isn't that bad. The dollzone resin seems to be a couple of shades darker/yellower than popodoll resin, but it's not a really glaring difference. If it'll help any, have a photo:

I almost wish I'd waited and gotten this body for him, but there's something about the elbows that I don't like. I do love the broadness of the body, though-I like seeing thicker boys of this height.

 

I have one of the type one bodies for my senior delf wintery 09 head. It is a good resin match. I actually prefer the older body for that particular character, he doesn't have the muscular build like this new body seems to have. The head and body fit well together. If the resin color hasn't changed I would say it would still be a good match for SDF and JDF. Probably not a good match for CP delf though. Does look like the posability has been improved in the new bodies.

Anyone know which clothing size will suitable for Popo 63 cm male body? SD 13 or SD17 clothing?

 

I have a question, does Popodoll ship through regular mail? Because I keep doing the checkout thing to see how much shipping is and it says $18. I'm guessing they do give the option of EMS.. I hope.
Also, how long do they usually take to make + ship their dolls/a body? I checked their feedback and it seems like they're pretty quick, then again most of the feedback they have is from a year ago.

No, there is still some mistake on their website. I asked them for the shipping price and it is around 66$ with EMS. They don't know how to change the price on their website ^^'

I think it really depend on the moment you order from them. I ordered the 63cm body the 6th, and it was shipped today the 17th so it take 11 days for me... (I didn't count the shipping time from them to me ^^)

I just receive my Popodoll body I am very pleased he's beautiful! (seamlines are sanded) but his hips droop to the left.. Is it normal?

(btw, he was not very clean xD some dark dust on it)

I would also love to see some of your 63cm boys! I have Zi Mo on order since mid March, but no sign of him yet. Paxita's Ivan looks gorgeaus! Apart from Ivan I've never seen any other dolls by Popodoll in actual photos. How do you guys find the quality/posing of their 63cm dolls? How about the face-up quality? I would love to hear some opinions and see some pics!!!

I was hoping to get some extra heads then for that 63cm body if Zi Mo looks good to me. Would you know of any good resin matches with the Popodoll normal skin?

 

Hi Blankqueen, thanks!! mmm yes apart form Ivan, neither I've seen any Popodoll here, I ordered Ivan because I love his beautiful vampire face heehe, his faceup is gorgeous and for me is of high quality!! the body is awesome and poses very well, I have no complaints and in the future, I want to order another but in normal skin

 

I'm also curious how a Leeke head like Mihael would work on this body, both resinmatching wise and how the head and neck fit together. Anyone have a clue? Oh and how are they posing and overall quality? *rambles*

 

I've just received my popodoll 63 body, and i've tried to put my zaoll muse head on it...

Bortbyting I've owned a Leeke head and a Popodoll body and I doubt they would look good together.
Leeke heads are kinda big (well, the Grey I owned was big..) and I think Popodoll necks aren't thick enough for a Leeke head. Even my MD Miho head looks bad on the popodoll body and Migidoll heads are probably smaller than Leeke heads.

 

@GoodbyeYouHelloMe Could you possibly get a picture of the Migidoll head on the Popodoll body? I'm interested to see how it looks.
If it doesn't fit, that's a whole other issue.

I didn't say the head doesn't fit, it does fit but in my opinion it looks wrong. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on this body (and on top of that, time. Popodoll made a mistake and sent me a WS body, they fixed their mistake but I hear they get stuff mixed up a lot). Another thing I don't like about this body is that it's skinny. It also reminds me of the Nobility doll body (except that the Nobilitydoll body looks a little better and MD heads look okay on it.)
Migidoll and Popodoll resin match is okay. But now that Migidoll has 2 resin colors available that might be confusing for anyone interested in getting a Popodoll body.

Bortbyting I can't say I'm 100% sure of this (since I haven't actually tried a Leeke head on the body as I no longer own one) but I don't think a Leeke head will look great on a Popodoll body.

 

@GoodbyeYouHelloMe Thank you! I see what you mean now, the body and the head seem dis-proportioned.
In that case, I would probably agree that the Leeke head wouldn't look too good on the body either, because the Leeke boys' heads are rather large, at least for the old sculpts.

a head (Ryu) was bought in 2010
then there was not dividing of color into A and B.

Mylene, it has to be the Volks matching one (I don't remember if it is the A or the B one), but there are some explanations on Migidoll site ^^

EDIT : B typed resin is similar to Volks pureskin, hope it helped!

How clothes can be wearing by this body ?

 

I have two hybrids on the Popo 68cm bodies and I love it. Mylene mine wear a mixture of SD17 or 70cm cloths. They are pretty long and skinny though so pants can be either too loose or a bit short. I opt for a bit short as my boys all wear boots which covers this
Here's Julian who is a Rickydoll Helios on the 68cm Popodoll and the match is amazingly good

For reference, here are two Leeke L-type heads (Min and Kyou) on the Popodoll 68 cm body. Not sure how they'd look on the 63 cm body!

 

Responding to the more photos bump... I have 4 different heads for my Popodoll 63cm body now. I made a collage of some photos. I'd say the Migidoll normal A with my 2012 Popodoll normal skin is about 90% and Little Rebel oriental resin match maybe 85%. Pretty good, but the body is more yellow based in tone than the heads. The heads all function perfectly well on the body and neck size match is great.

Today I got my Migidoll Cho-head and could complete my Hybrid. I think in proportion with my Popodoll-body it is looking very nice, but I was suprised (and of course disappointed !) about the skintone-match between Migi B-Type Normal and Popo's NS...the Migi head is much paler than the body. I'm a bit confused since the pics I've been watching before I decided for a body always showed a pretty nice match. Now I'm hoping that a good Face Up will attinuate the difference in colors...

 

Hello everyone! I'm wondering if anyone has Esthy/Distant Memory WS heads with the Popodoll WS 63cm body? I'm really curious about the resin matching and proportions.

 

Hello! Does anyone have a LUTS head on a Popo 63 body? I’ve got myself the Summer 10 event head and it’s pretty big, 22cm if I’m not mistaken and I was wondering if it’d look alright on their smaller body. I personally don’t mind if it looks a bit cartoonish proportion wise but I’m still interested if anyone got any pictures.

 

I see many owners have Luts head on Popo 68 on instagram. The propotion is quite good. I don’t think that body 63 is a good choice. You should compare the measurement between Luts senior body 65 with Popo body.

 

Does anyone have a Ninodoll head they can try on this body? Please & thank you
