Polaris Doll Events 2011-update-

    1. This year there will be Doll Events at Polaris in Toronto , Ontario from July 15 to July 17 2011 and this will the first year that there will be Doll events at the convention. Polaris is a Sci Fi and Fantasy convention that has been around now for 25 years.(used to be known as Toronto Trek) This year marks their 25 Anniversary for the convention. Polaris will be held at Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel. Hotel information you can find on the Polaris website.

      Sorry for the late posting but we we still working on detail on date and time for the meet up. I was asked at Anime North if I could help run a few events at Polaris North this year. So we didn't have alot of time to get this event going. We had to wait until we had all the information before I could post this event . Next year we plan on having more panels, maybe a doll show. I will be putting out a survey to see what you would like to have as events for dolls at Polaris North next year.

      There is no cost to sell doll or doll items at the meet up just the cost of your admission into Polaris and you Must have a badge to be allow into the events. Polaris information can be found here:

      Events for Dolls this year will be run on Sunday July 17 2011.

      BJD Information Panel: Starts at 1 pm
      Meet up /Market place : From 2pm. to 4 pm. (please RSVP for market place spot so I can make sure we have room for you. )

      There will be photo shoot back drops set up at the met up for anyone wishing to use them . We have Black, Green and Blue back drops. For sizes ranging from SD to Tiny as well as benches and chairs for dolls to use .
      We have had a free draw prizes donated for a draw. The draws will be free draws and thoses who come out the the meet up/market place. The free draws will be drawn at the end of the day.

      Prizes so far:
      1 MSD Polaris 25th anniversary T-shirt and 1 SD Polaris 25th anniversary t-shirt donated by Avalonafallis.
      Flower arrangement donated by Springwater Garden Centre.

      People are welcome to come in and set up durning the panel.( Quietly please) Doll events will be taking place in Room 1080 also known as the Programing room.

      Hope to see you all at Polaris North Doll Events this year.

      Divinity Doll Selling new dolls and new doll clothes.
      Norths_Fallen Angel-used dolls clothes, chairs , shoes and wigs.
      Little belt - jewelry, and used doll clothes.
      Azuafan199: clothes, sofa, shoes, eyes, wigs, and bunk beds for msd.
      Coulson Gallery-new eyes,wigs, and shoes.
      HighPriestressIce: Hand made jewelry, some eyes and possibly some clothes.
      Small World of Dolls-Wigs, clothes, shoes and furniture .

      Do we need to purchase a pass for the convention to attend the doll meet and the buy from the vendors?

    10. I hope you both can attend. What type of body are you looking for? There will be a DIM 60 cm male body and a Resinsoul 68 cm female body at the market place.
      Yes you need to buy a pass for the convention to get into the doll events.

    17. Hey everyone!, While Azula is away I am available to answer any and all questions about Polaris, the doll events, marketplace or just to say hi! You can either post here, PM me, or shoot me an email at [email protected]

      Just to clear things up, it is highly suggested that you buy a pass for Polaris...without the contributions of fans, conventions like Polaris and Anime North could not run. That being said, Polaris' dealers room is open to the public and you do not need a pass to get into the dealers room...I would, therefore assume it would be okay to come to the dool meetup and market place without a pass....but please, dont quote me on that.

      I will have a DIM SD body for sale, as well as a MigiDoll Miho Head and some other dolls for sale....I can make you a great deal on the body and head for polaris only!

    18. UPDATE ON TIME CHANGE:

      I just learnt late last night at the Masquerade that they changed the panels times . They are now running an hour late because of a book signing . The information BJD panel is now at 2 pm and then the meet starts at 3 pm and goes to 5pm.
      Sorry for any inconvience this may cause. I was not informed about the changes until late last night.
