PNW BJD Expo 2019

Aug 2, 2018

    1. Oh I'm super excited for this. I haven't been to a doll convention (or a meetup!) in almost a decade! Sadly, I have to work on that Friday and Saturday, but can get there on Thursday!
Questions: I'm super interested in the dealers' room/vendors, and got kind of lost on the website. Can I buy a ticket for the sale room at the show, or do I need to buy it on the website? Will the sale room be open on Thursday?

    2. Saleroom-only tickets are available at the door -- that's what I'm planning to go for, on Friday. :)

      • x 1
    3. Hello! I will have Thursday only tickets available on the website Tomorrow afternoon. At this point, he saleroom will not be open on Thursday - the dealers set up that day. HOWEVER, if the hotel has not booked the space, we will be able to set up earlier in the day and we could open the salesroom for a couple of hours in the evening. I won't know that until March 18, after I have met with the hotel.

    4. Aww, rats! I will keep an eye on this thread, though!

    5. Hello all - I hope you are planning on joining PNW in welcoming LUTS Doll on their 1st visit to the U.S.! We will be celebrating on Saturday, April 27 at a breakfast. Get your tickets today! Also - would you like to work with the LUTS team at the PNW event? Do you speak Korean? LOVE to hear from you either here or via email: [email protected].[IMG]

    8. Goodness, I have fallen behind in giving you updates on what's going on at PNW. Soooo, let's start with our PNW Fashion Week, Speed Couture Make 'n Take FUNdraiser. I am sure you have all heard of or seen the paper speed couture contests. Great fun, then toss. Ahhh not at PNW ... our team has put together a 2 hour workshop/contest where you will create a fashion or a hat or both out of material, hat bases, trim, feathers, buttons, etc. etc. The runway modeling, to see who wins will be during the Friday evening dessert social. 9. I just booked the flight and hotel, I hope I'll be able to register at the door.

    10. I have the flight down, should be able to add on the ticket and housing next paycheck.

    11. I'm so excited that I was able to adjust my flight to come out for the entire event instead of arriving Friday morning LOL

    12. How did d you do that!!
Awesome, I will have a table for wigs. But I made a mistake and booked for late Thursday.

    13. Do you mean register for the 3 days? I want to make sure that I understand your comment.

    14. No I meant change the flight with the airline usually changes are very costly

    15. At Southwest Airline, as long as it is 48 hours or something like that before the flight, changes are free (well, after accounting for the difference in cost of the new flight, but I've have that give me credit back before). I don't know if that is what they were using, but it is quite helpful.

    16. Excitement! LUTS is bringing a wonderful doll that one of out contest winners will receive! Have you entered a contest? Not too late www.pnwbjdexpo.com! The doll pictured is an example of what the prize will be (Tiny Delf TYLTYL)!

ALSO - I am just informed that LUTS is preparing a special doll for PNW attendees ... this will not be a pre order but will be a doll you can purchase in the salesroom. Wow this is going to be a GREAT event.

    24. Hello! I'm a (relative, although until last year you were basically in my backyard and I miss not having to make the trek across the sound, haha) local and I will be attending but I don't know which days exactly. In past years I've always bought my tickets at the door, but on the website it's unclear whether you can purchase a single day registration at the door or whether ONLY the salesroom-only tickets are available on-site. If I just show up on Friday or Saturday, will I be able to purchase a registration that includes access to panels or the swap meet?

    25. Hi and yes you can buy single day tickets at the door. I will try to make the website more clear (thanks for the input!).

    29. I am so, so, so excited for this event in particular! I've been working on making lots of eyes and wigs to bring. I had a question about what can be brought at the swap. Are we only allowed to bring BJDs? I have some non-BJDs (Pullip and Monster High to be specific) and some Japanese doll mooks. Are these acceptable to bring or should it just be BJDs, clothing, and shoes?

    30. Hi, bring whatever you feel would be of interest to people attending. Love that you are bringing eyes!

    54. You Hooo! We had multitudes of request for the Roze Heyn doll, by Dust of Dolls, at PNW 2019! The pre-order was sold out so many people were disappointed. We have a RARE opportunity to re-order Roze if we can get at least 20 people interested. If you saw her, you know she is special. In fact ROZE won the STAND Magazine Creative Inspiration Award for the body design. Answer here to let me know if you are interested (and ask questions). If there is enough interest, we will re-open ordering next Friday.
