PNW BJD EXPO 2012 discussion

I'll be attending this along with possibly 3 full dolls if not then 2 full and a head.

 

The prize for the costume contest has been announced! Dear Mine Doll has provided a doll for this event. All pre-registrants are welcome to enter the costume contest.

 

A preliminary/partial list of Artists & Vendors has been posted.

 

I just sent my paperwork for artist space! so i hope he turnout is good! gotta make lots of items!!!

 

LOL! My sis and me are going, and we're bringing a non-doll friend who is interested, I'm really excited about this!

Shuttle service has been added for those coming from the Seattle area via the Seattle/Bainbridge ferry. You will need to purchase your shuttle ticket by May 10th if you prefer to use the Expo's shuttle over public transit.

 

How much are tge tickets for the shuttle?

 

I just booked a *second* room for the expo! I am so excited! Since so many of the people from Portland wanted to go, our room was starting to look like a clown car.

 

Anyone else going? Trying to talk my Mom into going. It would be a great Girl's Day Out!

 

Dd and I are going. Will not have nearly enough funds but that is to be expected...sigh. The shuttle is a brilliant idea though.

 

Tickets are $10. The shuttle will pick you up at the ferry and deliver you right to the front door of the Expo. Round trip is included. More details are on the ticket sales page.

There are no less than four fulll carpools coming from Portland.

 

Anyone taking the ferry over? I'm going to this all alone and would really like some company!

 

We are taking the ferry over but it is from Kingston/Edmonds--sorry.

 

A sample program for the Expo has been posted on facebook. It gives an overview of the days activities, by no means is it a list of everything that has been planned.

My two, possibly three, friends and I are going over on the 10:35 ferry (if our car makes it on that is...).

I'm really excited to go. This will be my first doll show - I'm new to BJD's (I have a couple of vinyl ones) so I'm looking forward to getting a good look at everything!

 

I'll be there! I'm driving through Tacoma rather than taking the ferry (I'll be stopping in Gig Harbor on the way there). This is my first doll event, and i'm really excited.

 

i think we're taking the ferry but Dad's driving so...O.o but we are going, yey! can't talk my mom into bringing any of hers. she says that carrying a doll is not for her. crickets on the other line of the phone, as i take mine to most shows.

Beachgirl and I are hauling up I5 as I type. We're staying in Poulsbo tonight, and I'm so excited!

Just saw on the news that the ferries may be a backed-up mess tomorrow, I will be trying to be on the 7:55 (I think) one with our lot, but if it looks horriblish then we will do the southern loop instead and a lot of praying, but even with traffic we should be able to make it in 3 hours. Yeah. Still horribly excited.

OMG, I had such fun!!! I am crossing my fingers this happens again next year, I woke up this morning and honestly, all I could think was 'buy more eyes, buy more wigs, bring more dolls'...

This was the most fun I've had at a show yet! Thanks so much to everyone who came, Vendors, Artists & Attendees, you all rock! And a big thank you to the sponsors, I'm still amazed at how many prizes there were.
Next years show is already in the works. The Expo's website www.pnwbjdexpo.com will have updated information along with a gallery of pictures and video from this years show as soon as possible.

 

I had a lot of fun! Thank you guys for holding the show for us! The town was beautiful and all the people were so nice. n_n We definitely plan to go next year!

 

The expo was the first time I met other hobbyist, everyone was so nice! Had lots of fun, can't wait for next year.

 

I still can't believe my husband won this amazing doll house in the silent auction for me! Thank you so much! I had a blast.

Congrats on the house, FunnyLori! I would love to have bid on it, but it was just too big for my car to transport or my apartment to hold. XD;;;

 

Thank you Raesha! I wasn't sure how I'd get it home or where I was going to put it either, but we made it happen. I posted a few photos up in the gallery thread. I'm still trying to catch up from everything.
