PLEASE HELP: Removing Gallery! Threads with Broken Image Links

    1. If you delete an image from your hosting service (whether it's a service like Photobucket or your own server), move it to a different place or simply rename it, you break the link. The picture no longer shows up on DoA.​

      Pictures come and go daily. Please help us identify your threads that no longer have images in them. (Of course, if you meant to keep your images, now’s your chance to replace them and save that thread!) Here's how:
      • Do an advanced search for your user name and choose Main Gallery as the forum you want to search.
      • Review each thread you’ve posted to the gallery.
      • Click the Report link at the bottom of the first post and leave a note saying the images are broken.
      That’s all you need to do.

    2. I think if you post them from facebook, you might face the same problem... without having deleted or moved anything.

      I had a photoshoot appeared as if the links were broken, but I never moved the pictures, which are on a public facebook album. I came to think that facebook sometimes change the root name of the pictures randomly, which is kind of an annoyance when we post those same pictures in DoA.

      So better link them from other websites. ><

    3. Facebook and certain other sites can sometimes appear broken here. Check the coding (wrench Icon at top right of editing box), and check the url to see if it is correct. And yes, maybe use a different host.

      Due to the Photobucket change in allowing 3rd Party images, it would be best to Report your own threads first, if you are not planning on fixing the links. Other members may still be planning on fixing the links, so don't Report other members yet. Thanks!
