Pipos PO-11 Size Tinies

My tan Luna arrived today, finally. I can't get over how gorgeous the resin is! So smooth and uniform, not a blemish on it. Very little seaming, I had to really search for it. The quality on this is amazing. Her balance is excellent, and she seems to have good posing, especially for a doll with a lower torso joint. It's not what you could do with the three-part bodies, but I like it more than the Dorothy version with the underbust joint only. One note...there are not magnets in the head, so I guess the ears are meant to go on with a magnet on the underside of the wig. Same with the crown.

Not digging the default eyes they sent her in, so we'll replace those and settle on a "look" and name. Here's what she looks like so far (sorry for the nekkid cellphone pic, the lighting in here sucks).

Clochette, she is very lovely. One thing I have noticed from Pipos, they do pose and stand better than many. All of my dolls were from them until recently, when I bought a peakswoods Goldie on the secondary market, and she is a mess to try and stand, let alone pose! I love the anthros, and the little girls--the new mix with being able to put ears on a humanoid is enchanting. I look forward to more of your eye candy!

Is it only the limited editions that can have a large breast plate?

Rosina, I'm not sure they have the large chest plate option any longer, at least for the Po11s. It was an option on the 3 part body, and that body is no longer available, sadly. The Dorothy release with the upper torso joint had only a larger chest (also no longer available), but it was narrower than the standard Po11s. They didn't offer a larger chest as an option on Luna, but I wouldn't be shocked to see it show up at some point in the future if this is going to be the body they're sticking with.

I have the large chest plate on a couple of my basics, so when it was offered, it was a basic option, not just for limiteds.

anyone who has a lloyd....can you tell me what size eyes he takes? i got a 'free set of eyes' lotto ticket from souldoll and I've been eyeing a pair i want to get for my boy when i order him...but i want to be sure they fit! (sorry not sorry about the pun)

 

Opalwhisker, I don't have a Lloyd, but Pipos site says he takes 14mm eyes. I haven't changed the eyes on any of my Pipos, so I can't say for sure if what they say is accurate.

 

I think this thread finally deserves a Pipos Tin Man post. ;; Here is his box opening post for anything body interested.

I changed his eyes today and decided his name will be Toby! I don't know whether he'll be keeping this pair in. I think a different face-up may go better with them. XD

Hi, I am joining the thread. I have recently gone a little Po11 crazy. They were always on my wishlist but kept getting bumped down. I got a basic Noel about a month ago and just loved her...soooo....I now have L. Lloyd, tan J. Luna, Alice Jr, and Red Queen too. I keep looking back through the old releases and adding to my wishlist. LOL I LOVE your Dorothy, Sorenka. Did you paint the face up? Zaba...your Luna in NS is super cute too. I will have to go back through the thread to see other pics.

The latest version is fitted with double -oint (elbow and knee) or it is still simple joint ?

Still single joint in both elbow and knee.

I have all the girl body types/bust sizes. I will try to get a picture in the next week or so. As far as I've been told by them, they are no longer making the original 3-part body or the Dorothy body with the upper under-bust joint. From what I understand, all dolls are now being shipped on the newer Luna/Lloyd body. Much to my sadness.

I'm not sure which body is meant by "new body"...comparison pictures are in the Pipos Manual down the sidebar on the site. The Dorothy version body comparison(post 23) seems to be locked now, but they do have the Luna vs 3-part body comparison towards the bottom of the first page, it's post 31.

I love seeing all your adorable dolls, my mint Luna and yellow Lloyd are with the customizer at the moment.

 

OOOO...O can't wait to see Mint Luna and Yellow Lloyd customized. I love custom dolls and those colors are so unique! I would take photos of the first body and the Lloyd/Luna body but having just moved....everything in the house is still chaos. I LOVE the first body, it poses fantastically. I am not so wild about Lloyd and Luna's body but their faces are so darn cute. I wish Pipos would go back to the first body. I have Dorothy on my wishlist....am I correct in understanding that she has a different body??????

 

Yes, it is different. Dorothy's body is single-jointed with an underbust joint rather than the lower hip joint, and was thinner through the shoulders/upper torso. I don't care for the way it poses, especially when compared with the older 3-part body. While Luna is still not nearly as good as the older body, I greatly prefer it to the Dorothy body.

Very nice! Is the Melancholia using the Luna face mold?

 

I'm not very sure as i was never good at telling apart head molds but they look very close. So maybe.

animedolls....I can't wait to see your pics!!! I would like some limited releases in natural skin for Christmas! I try to stick with natural or tan skin dolls. I think the white skin dolls are gorgeous but I don't have the skills to photograph them very well. I have a few of the past dolls on my wishlist too.

I absolutely love the way Pipos does the ears - it is so easy to slide the magnets under the wig. I can imagine tons of cool accessories that could be added with magnets![/URL][/IMG]

Thank you animedolls, He is my second Pipos doll, but first fullset from them and I am in love with him and all of the tiny details on his clothing. I hope I can add more Pipos dolls to my collection next year.
