Hello! I have a classic Ice Cream Rooney on the way to me, does anyone know how clothes look on the classic body? I've tried looking for owner photos everywhere and the only clothed Rooneys I've seen are the ones with normal bodies.

 

It's been years since I owned a Pipos but I found a Mini Pang and fell in love! The posts from the previous discussion thread were really helpful in deciding to purchase- especially seeing that most Lati Yellow clothes will fit. I intend to make this my little travel friend, but I'm still deciding on a name.

Dusting off my dolls and wanted to give my Felix some love!

His old outfit was an Asian-style set by Loongsoul:


I've redressed him now in a lovely Alice in Wonderland-themed set and I think he looks stunning!

Here he is hanging out with my Dearmine Nocturne (can you guess what my favourite colour is?):


I put my dolls away for a long time, so it's great to take them out and play with them again! However his face up is beginning to have cracks in it... not any of the detailed parts so far fortunately, but on areas of blank grey skin you can see flakes of crackling sealant and it's been concerning me ): Is there any solution to this? I absolutely love the official face-up and don't have the skill to redo one myself!

That aside, I'm expecting a Blue Rose Charlotte soon and it's exciting to be growing the doll family! I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for good posing YoSD bodies that would go well for them? The Pipos bodies are gorgeous but the lack of joints in the torso makes for poor posing, so I've been looking around for any grey-skin bodies that might do better with that for Felix, and a white skin body for my incoming Charlotte! Any suggestions are appreciated!

This might be a silly question but has the Rosie sculpt ever been available in Gray resin?(Be it for an event or just in general) I haven't seen any pictures of one in gray though I've seen just about all the other cat sculpts in that color. Ideally that's the color I'd like to purchase her in one day but I'm not sure if that's possible or not haha.

 

Oh! I didn't realize there was a thread for this (or even previous threads). I have an ice cream Rooney and a Charlotte III coming to me as well, and I'll definitely be reading back through the older posts to see how people styled and dressed up their Pipos dolls.

 

I think at one point they may have offered her in a variety of colors. I got her in caramel in late 2018 when they had several sculpts available in different colors.

I haven’t bought any dolls in years, only sold some. I just got the email from Pipos and saw the Woong bear doll. Makes me wish I had paid attention and B2G1 dolls in 2019. Hopefully they still have some caramel dolls left…

 

The wig looks great and I love the color theme in general.

 

I'm a latecomer it seems to Pipos hype, but I just found out about the Pang sculpt particularly the LE gray tabby look. I think the sculpt (possibly with some modifications) could be PERFECT for some cats from a webcomic I've gotten into recently, it's a shame they're apparently discontinued (and recently too)? The Cheshire Pang SCREAMS Rocky from Lackadaisy. If you don't know the comic it's amazing and I also recommend the animated pilot that's a bit more upbeat (The comic can be rather grim). But if you look you will see how much potential these kitty sculpts have!

 

I know this is a long shot but I'd love to get an idea of how many people would want to see more Pipos dolls released in the sienna resin color. I'd absolutely love to get Charlotte and Rosie in sienna resin and have mentioned it to Pipos a few times over the years. I'd even be willing to pay for fullsets if it meant being able to get them in that color. Anyway, Pipos is pretty responsive on their IG, so let them know!

I wish I had some pics to spam, but unfortunately I sold my WS Charlotte years ago. >: I absolutely adore the sculpt but am not a fan of WS or NS.

 

I have a Derek in sienna and he is beautiful! I would love to get another one of their cat dolls in this lovely color.

 

@City Kitty do you have pictures of him?!? I never knew the R.PI cats got released in sienna.

The color is so gorgeous! May I ask when you got him? The last color event Pipos had didn't even offer sienna as an option. ):

 

I ordered him in April of 2013-hard to believe that was 10 years ago!

Does anyone have experience making a hybrid with Charlotte, or any other R.PI tinies? I really like the Charlotte head, but I'm not sure the 30cm body will work for the character I have in mind, and the M.PI 40cm Charlotte appears to be limited-edition only... Of course using a different body would mean losing the tail functionality, but I'm willing to live with that.

 

It's been a long time since I posted anything, but I wanted to share a pic of Pepperoni in his new jammies I made him. Gawd, do I love these Cheese mice! I need to make all of my mice their own set.

@Dybbuk - Thank you so much! It's really a shame finding clothes for these little guys is so hard. Of course, they are still so adorable without clothing, they don't really *have* to have any. I actually taught myself to make patterns when I got my first Pipos doll - a Baha - back in 2008 as I had a vision for her that I couldn't find made any where. So thanks to Pipos dolls, I have become a sewing addict, lol!

Now I just have 7 more jammie sets to make before the mice are all decked out in comfy sleepwear!

 

Wow, this thread has become sadly inactive! I'm curious is anyone has bought any of the Muffin sized dolls that I just discovered Pipos released in last November? OMG, are they cute!!!

 

I wanted to get one of the Muffin cats but I missed out. They certainly look cute.

 

For anyone who wanted to buy Pipos R.Pi or U.Pi dolls, but can't because they are currently sold out, there's a smidge of hope for us.

I spoke with Pipos on IG and they said they would be willing to make dolls from those lines on the following conditions: there has to be a minimum of 13 dolls (one head and one body type) and the payment for those dolls has to be made at the same time (so I guess it has to be a group order).

The colors available would normal, white, grey and tan (but they may consider other special colors). Tan and other special colors are $30 more.

If anyone wants more information I can show you the messages I have from Pipos.

I personally would love to get a u.Pi Rosie and the original Charlotte head on the 30cm body or the art body in tan.

 

So are Pipos not making those sizes any more? That's a shame.

I do so enjoy the anthro dolls Pipos put out. I have a Star Cheshire (Marmalade) and the 2020 Ghost Cheshire (Keres). Oh, I discovered that with a little fiddling, clothing made for Disney NuiMOs fits them really well. (By fiddling I mean moving the Velcro over or taking it off and putting snaps on instead.)

Thank you! Yes, Pepperoni is a very clever little mouse. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is determined by the situation at hand.

 

Here's a picture of my crazy cats. The Withdoll Angry Cat probably is not valid for DOA, but should be OK with the Pipos cats. The Angry cat was actually sold as two versions, one with painted eyes and the other with removable eyes, but the regular one did not look angry at all.

I'm an old fan of the hobby re-entering it here now, years later. Basic Charlotte was my first ever doll and i love her so much, so I'm sad to see that pipos isnt really making that style doll anymore... tbh I'd be interested in an order like that, I've always wanted a Basic Deborah, Rosie is adorable and it might be nice to give my Charlotte the new body type since she has the old style...

 

Just so I got the right: all 13 orders would have to be for the exact same head and exact same body? Hmm... I am really interested in getting my hands on an original Charlotte head, although I could go for Rosie or Deborah also if there was more interest in them... would have to save up a bit first (and I guess wait to get marketplace access to participate in a group order???)

Correct. And we wouldn't be able to switch heads and bodies. U.Pi wouldn't be able to go on R.Pi bodies (which is weird because the heads do fit with a bit of modding and Pipos has done it in the past.)

Unfortunately I am in no position to organize/host such a group order.

I recently got a Rosie on the art body second-hand and absolutely adore her on it. I do wish I could find Charlotte in either sienna or chocolate but Pipos said that U.Pi and R.Pi are too big for those colors.

They did show me what the tan color would look like and it does seem like a lovely color. It doesn't look like it's the same color as my girl (who I think might actually be in caramel).

 

@spih I love your halloween minis, their face ups and outfits are adorable. Did you just get those two?

 

I got those two because I could not decide which one of them to get. I don't remember other Halloween stuff, and I could not find them on Pipos site any more.

 

Would anyone happen to have good recommendations for where to buy clothes for their pipos? I find more YO-SD doll clothes don't fit quite right.... especially the legs, YO-SDs seem to have much shorter legs than Pipos' body type

 

@Opalwhisker I personally found Disney NuiMOs clothing worked well, if you're willing to move the Velcro over or swap it for a snap

Also the shadow on Monni's face makes this funnier to me, that they probably thought that he was the great pumpkin before he stepped out of the shadows.

Pipos is re-releasing Charlotte and Demon on new bodies! They're going to be in a new grey resin color and off-white.

Unfortunately I will be skipping this release as I'm not interested in either of those colors.

Also a little sad they didn't use the neck piece like they had on the art body. I admit when I first saw it being released I wasn't a fan of it, but having it in person is a different story. It gives the head a whole new range of motion, where the body is a bit lacking.

I think I may have to resign myself to the fact that Pipos will likely never release Charlotte in any sort of tan or brown resin, which sucks but if I'm the only customer asking for it, then it does make sense that they wouldn't offer it.

 

I believe they had her in the sienna color that my guy in my avatar is, but that was a long time ago. I would probably be interested in Charlotte in brown as I love the sculpt and different colors. I will have to check out the rerelease though.

 

They look interesting. Does anybody have an idea how their size would look with a Luts 26 cm Zuzu Delf cat? I'm wondering if Demon would make a nice boyfriend for her.

 

According to X, Pipos will be at a doll event in Barcelona.
