Poor Elfmoon my greatest fear when I joined this swap has happened to you . I actually like the clips but if yer dolly is that tiny she should have put more thought to it. These are like totally random.

Sadly I don't own anything in your dolly's size and reading the comments I see other people are already reaching out to send yer dolly something sweet.

So sorry this has happened. I don't think this person should be allowed to join another swap anytime soon >_<..
But then I'm a nagger I already find it weird why people do not wish to share piccies of their gifts ..is it weird to think this way?

I've been concerned for my swap partner as well and it's been well over a month since I sent my package on priority. I'm glad I took pictures before I sent it out too. I loved making them and wouldn't mind making something of that scale again even though I don't have a large doll. n_n;

*giggle* ... just found this response. Hey! Some cats do get all mellow when they have catnip -- one of my three does just that! But the big one -- the one for whom I seem to be a personal platform -- HE becomes a total wildman if he comes near catnip. So you weren't wrong (I just thought he looked so mischievous holding the presents!!)

 

I am still waiting to figure out who my person is! I am guessing they do not get on a lot, since I have posted about it 3 times already and this is my last mention of it so that I do not irritate or clutter up the thread. So another thanks to my partner!

I fear catnip, as my cats fight on it, and once my little one got her claw stuck IN the TONGUE of the big one. I had to help her get it out.

 

People have been very kind to me and have reached out with offers of gifts and I am touched by their concern and generosity. I didn't expect to get that kind of response and I appreciate the goodness that people have shown.

I don't, however, want to take advantage of any one. On the other hand, I don't want to turn people away who are trying to do a good deed, so I've decided to use the 'pass it forward' concept. I enter swaps all the time and I've decided that if a person is disappointed or doesn't receive a gift from their partner, I will send them something. There really is truth in the saying 'it's better to give than to receive'.

DOA is all about sharing with the doll community and the majority of our members are really good people, it's only a few who take advantage of others. Sadly this happens, but in the future perhaps it will change.

It's my hope that more people will post photos of the gifts they received. I'm sure the senders will be delighted to see the results of the effort and thought they put into their choice of gifts! And even if people can't post pics, please send a PM to your partner, or post in this tread, thanking them. It will make their day!

 

I finally uploaded the pictures of my Chamberlain's presents from Kesra_Kyse! She really put a lot of thoughts into Ham's gifts, they're a perfect addition to his collection of specimens and equipment, and he is quite pleased! Thank you so much!!

It's finally time to post my Proper, and overdue, Thank You to Jill in WV for the gifts she sent Wing. The pants are a bit short but they fit better every where else than any others we have ever found so I will be able to draft a pattern from them and just lengthen it YAY!!!!! He adores the shirt. The coffee was a first for him and so he was up all night until I broke down and gave him the Bubbly LOL. Though I do have to wonder what his plans for the Passport truly are.

I got my swap gift! I came back from vacation the other day and it was waiting here so it was a nice surprise! My guy got some really nice stuff and his lady did too, thank you so much Kez! We loved the gifts, ha ha you totally spoiled him. I think he finds that bottled elf really fascinating, I bet he wants to know the secret of where they put all the stuff they hide from us. The chair is partially painted black :-( ...like most the legs and back of chair was painted over in acrylic or oil paint

 

The chair is professionally stained and lacquered, not painted with acrylic or oil. My own dolls sat in it for months in various positions without anything rubbing off or staining them so it should be fine I noticed most of your dolls were in stands so I thought a chair for them might be nice...

If you don't like it, just PM me to have it sent back and I'll send something else. I liked the chair quite a bit and if you don't want it, I'd like it back, please and thank you.

She's on a soulkid body (slim msd) so the scale is good. They look a little er.. delicate with my volks. Just fyi.

 

I tried to get ones that looked sort-of-small in my DOD E-an's hands (my smallest sD), and then sort-of-large in my Soom Grit's hands(my only tiny), and hoped that the in-between sized would fit an MSD xD I took a pic of my the bottles with my phone before they left, so I could remember what they looked like-

A Baseball cap, baseball, bat, catcher's mitt, some tiny cars in a really cute container and a very pretty card. The gift was also wrapped in some pretty blue wrapping paper. Thank you again Mela!

Oooo.. I'd love that chair. I wonder how much shipping is! It's hard to find doll scale furniture, and I can clearly see the wood grain in the seat. It looks like a pretty well made piece of doll furniture, and I'd bet it wasn't cheap! I should check with the hubby about getting it.

 

Please do, Menolly. It is a very nice chair - solid wood, stained and lacquered as I stated earlier - and if I can't get it back, I would like to see it go to someone who will appreciate it much more. I have extra pictures on my harddrive if you would like to see them.

 

I have that same exact chair. It's very nice actually. And mine is also pre stained mostly black.
I think I got is as a gift so I'm not sure where it's from. But it is nice.

I'd be a little worried for those who haven't received anything... Hopefully something will turn up soon. On Craftster, some people do something called "swap angels" that step in to send something to a swap participant whose partner bailed out. Maybe next year that'd be a good idea to make sure everyone gets something.

 

I know for sure that there are several of us that have already offered, should it become necessary, to assist.

 

I got my swap gift from Julidc the other day (Friday I think...) and we just love it!

We didn't get a good picture of everything opened, but there were some food erasers (chocolate donut and pistachio? ice cream), a little notebook keychain (popped the keychain off easily), a box of birthday gear, a book of birthday facts, picture frame pin, and some human noms for mee~

Cori received her Birthday gift today from photoscott.... She was so excited and couldn't believe how much great stuff she got!
