I always take some pictures of my dolls with camera pocket, and the result is not bad. But can everyone give me some advice how to edit photo using pocket camera, in order to look like using DSLR camera? thanks everyone
I'm not sure if i can help with making it look like DSLR photo part but you can try scaling it. Make it look smaller sorta help... I'm not sure. I use a DSLR camera and a phone camera. I edit them the same way. Try playing with the tools on adjustment window. photo filer and curve are my favorite! I use preset effect on iTune Apps too. I love them so much that sometime I even take picture with my DSLR camera, then transfer it to my ipod or iphone just to be edited. Kinda pathetic huh I have limited skill with PS, so iTune photo Apps is my best friend. Most of them are free and can look pretty darn good!
Er. I think it is more of the skill with which you wield the camera, not the editing. Like Renearla says, I edit photos from my dSLR and my pocket camera the same way. I use a Canon G12 when I'm too lazy to lug the dSLR about. As always, the same rules of photography apply -- composition and focus and whatnot. I find lighting to be especially important when using a pocket camera, because of the ISO restrictions. My house is dark, so I use artificial lights to ensure the camera has sufficient light.
I had these issues when I had a pocket camera. I suggest using really good lighting and lots of light, putting your camera on a tripod (or a stack of books) to reduce shake, put the iso as low as you can (the less iso, the more light you need) to reduce noise/grain. That should really help. It makes editing much easier too (less to fix).
I shoot with my iphone quite a bit since it's convenient for uploading. Most of what I shoot is just box openings or trying out new wigs and whatnot tho. What's important is getting to know photography and getting to know your camera. Don't force your camera to do things it wont do. if it doesn't like low or direct light, don't try and make it work, wait till lighting is good. If it doesn't like close ups, then back away. etc. It can be a pain at times, but you get what you pay for. All are iPhone 4, different apps (Camera+) (instagram) (camera+) and not a doll photo, but just to show the quality a typically poor camera can do what you use it in ideal conditions (mostly meaning very good lighting) and abuse filtering. (camera+) I have several different camera apps on my phone Instagram and camera+ being my favorites but I also have pixlromatic, 360Panorama (I rarely use this for doll photos - more for concerts), and I just installed GifBoom, which was a new camera app that was one of the top 10 popular apps this past week.
