Photography Backdrop Design Contest Entries ~ WINNER ANNOUNCED!

    1. This year's Spoonflower textile design contest was to construct a design that could function as a 36x42 inch backdrop or as a textile to use for doll clothing.

      Alchemy Moth

      Describe your design inspiration:
      Been playing around with geometric shapes and collaging those shapes and I am a big fan of moths, and this is a design i did combining those two things.[/break]

      Colours of natural shapes construct a mechanical mesh. And bears.[/break]

      Futuristic Dream

      Describe your design inspiration:
      My main inspiration was modern architecture of my city. For this design I combined few of my original architecture photographs to create an architectural backdrop with futuristic and a bit surreal feel.

      Describe your design inspiration:
      As inspiration, fireworks are - inevitably - deconstructed in order to be reconstructed and transformed into something beautiful and transient. This fabric backdrop is made up of three photographs of burning sparklers combined and processed to give them more of an abstract and textured feel.

      And ElfDoll is one of my absolute favourite doll companies, so I'm really thrilled that I'll get to own this head. I'm sure it'll have a very special place in my heart!
