Photo Reference Guidelines

Photo Reference is primarily an archive for information, therefore some practices are a little different than other areas of the forum like discussions or the regular galleries.

Chat
We want members to feel encouraged to contribute information to this community and getting feedback is part of the reward. Most chat that is not directly contributing to the topic at hand (i.e. questions and answers) will be removed after three to six months. It's nothing personal, it just makes it easier for everyone to find the answers to their questions without wading through a lot of extra text. Thank you for your understanding!

Finding Answers
Many reference questions have already been covered in some form or another. Please check the Stickies for links and/or try a keyword search for answers related to your topic of interest before starting a new thread. If you find an existing thread on the topic but still have uncertainties, post your question in that thread. If you can't find any thread related to your inquiry, go ahead and start a new thread.

Posting New Inquiries
When starting a new thread please select the appropriate prefix, use a clearly worded title, and keep to one topic rather than asking multiple questions in a single thread. A moderator may choose to clarify a title, correct spelling, or merge threads on the same topic so that the subforum stays tidy and easily searchable. This makes finding information on a particular topic a lot easier later. You may bump your inquiry once every 24 hours if you have not received any responses.

If you have additional photos or questions about a specific type of doll that already has a thread, please just add to the already existing thread.

People enjoy helping each other with requests. However, if you make a request for a rare doll or an unusual combination, other members simply may not be able to help you out. Please don't assume a lack of response means people don't care!
