Hi everyone! I was wondering if there is a way to tell what size elastic pet dolls use? I am going to be 3d printing a few for fun and i need to know what size they use. And yes i have looked through each one's description, only one has the elastic listed. It needs 1mm. Would that work for others as well?
It depends on the size of the channels inside, but most of the pet dolls I’ve seen will take 1mm (all of the ones I’ve made will). I’d buy a little roll of 1mm and give it a shot; at worst, you’ll know you need to move a step up or down. If 1mm ends up being too thin, you can also take two strands of the elastic and “double string” the doll, especially if you’re printing it in PLA, which isn’t as brittle as printing resin so you don’t need to worry about damage if you string it too tight and then a part snaps at a weird angle…
Oh this is great! Thank you. I do have a filament printer, but I really hate it, so I do all my printing on my resin one. I love the idea of being able to double it up if its to small. I hadnt thought of that. I shall get some 1mm elastic tonight and try it out. Thank you!
