Hello everyone! I hope this is where i can ask this. I ordered 4 of the blindbox dragons from penny's box and in one of the 4 i ordered i got a red card. I've translated it as best i can and it seems like I've won something? But the qr code i scan doesn't load right, and the other mentions wechat, which i don't have. Can someone help me figure out what this is and how to possibly claim the prize? The place i ordered it from doesn't seem willing to help me, so I'm at a loss.
Could you provide a photo of said card, so we can see what it's about? You'll need to upload the photo to a 3rd party site though as this forum doesn't support photo uploads. Though I have a suspicion that this prize might be limited to people living in China, and you probably have to scan the QR code using WeChat. Edit: And maybe black out or cover the QR code in your photo, so that no one else can claim your prize when you upload the photo.
Yeah, definitely this! Don't give away your prize online unless you're sure you want to! I think no photos would be best honestly. I recommend asking in the Kikagoods discord server (again, don't post pictures), they have a few members fluent in Chinese who can translate and help.
It would be difficult to translate without seeing the card though, especially since it sounds like a rare card... Unless the person helping to translate happens to have the card too or OP is able to just copy and paste the text on the card. Though I guess OP could always just privately send a censored photo to someone who can help translate?
I would definitely contact the dealer who you ordered from and ask. Many of them would be happy to assist! As others have said, if you post the photo here, be sure to hide any QR codes and such so no one nabs your prize!
That's what I think; but also, if OP can contact somebody fluent in Chinese, then that person would be able to read the Weibo/chat to Penny's Box directly without owning or seeing a red card, just to ask for information on it and if an international fan can redeem it. The main issue here is information, so a translator is the first port of call.
