I've been into dolls for awhile now, and I'm finally trying to make my own. Bought some clay, got some sculpty and my dremel and went to town! wip doll 1 by uber-kitten, on Flickr wip doll 2 by uber-kitten, on Flickr wip doll 4 by uber-kitten, on Flickr wip doll 5 by uber-kitten, on Flickr wip doll 6 by uber-kitten, on Flickr So far I'm actually pretty happy with the figure, I used knitting needles and sculpty clay so that she's hollow, though I may have to drill out her arms and legs. She is a bit bobbleheaded, and I'm not sure if I like it or not? And yes she is going to be double jointed, what was I thinking?! I'm not a great face sculpter I think, I may lower her nose and eyes for a 'cuter' look though. I should line her up next to my dolls for scale, she's supposed to be about 5-6 ins, but actually she may end up more like 4-5 :/ Comments and critiques welcome and encouraged!
Looks like a great start to me! For a 'cuter' look, you could lower the eyes, so that they are nearer the center of the face. That might not be easy though, given the stage that you're at. But she's cute already! )
@kwmelvin Thanks! @aneemal Thanks, yeah I was thinking lowering the eyes and maybe the nose a bit would help, I hope it won't be too difficult
