Finally!! I emailed PeaksWoods yesterday to ask when they thought my Vampire Goldie might ship... Their response was to send my shipping notice!

 

That's awesome news, yasmin and karrigankat. I'm so excited to see owner pics of your girls! I would absolutely love it if Peak's Woods made even more vampire sculpts - they are awesome!

I'm really curious to see when Peak's Woods may be shipping out my KoonieS. I already sent an e-mail for an estimate a while back (maybe a little more than a month ago), so I'd feel like I'd be harassing them if I sent a second now. I've been staring at doll clothes and photography all morning, so I think I'm in serious need to get my mind off dolls.

 

Thanks BerryPeachy! I'd say go ahead and email them about your order... I had my shipping notice within hours. Almost makes me wonder if she'd been finished for a while them set aside and forgotten haha. I'm obsessively checking her tracking, she's currently flying over the Pacific on her way to Canada
I'm crossing my fingers she'll be here and processed through customs by Friday, then take Monday to get from BC to AB, attempt delivery on Tuesday which I'll miss because of work, but then I can pick her up Wednesday on my day off
In a perfect world, this is what will happen.

I agree they need to make more vampire sculpts, they have the best vampires I've seen. Lots of them look a bit strange with ridiculously large or awkwardly placed teeth. PeaksWoods seems to do vampire teeth just... Well, it would be funny to say naturally since vampires aren't natural, but of they were, I think that's what they'd look like haha

 

After your message I gave into the temptation and e-mailed them. I actually don't mind waiting too much once I know an basic estimate, since then I know what to expect. It's just the feeling of knowing that she can ship out any moment that gets to me.

Canada's customs sound pretty quick! I heard the U.S. isn't too bad either, but I'm still hoping for the delivery to go by smoothly when the time comes.

EDIT: And...wow. I e-mailed them asking and they sent my order right out. I'm really excited!

 

I am very excited, i just ordered a new peak'swoods girl, she's a briana (normal skin, small chest, default makeup - dark). I ordered her because they had one in stock and she's going to be shipped this monday! How exciting is that? She's also my first non-second hand doll so i cannot wait to have that new doll box opening experience.
She's only my second bjd.

 

Ahh congrats Berrypeachy!! That's too funny, I wonder what's been going on over there? Do they not ship until you ask for your dolls? lol

And yay harunamasaki, Briana is such a beautiful sculpt!

 

Congrats! Peak's Woods Briana is so gorgeous. Her dark face-up is the best.

EDIT: And she's here! I'm going to hold off on putting up any pictures for now, since the ones for her box opening came out extremely blurry. But now that it's bright out, I should be able to get a decent shot or two.

 

I am very happy, thank you! I hope i fall even more in love when i open the box and see her for the first time live. I checked the tracking and its already here so hopefully i'll get her tomorrow. *fingers crossed

 

Finally got her today, after what seemed an eternity in transit! She's so amazing.... so completely amazing. I'm in love! I just finished her faceup and will take some pictures as soon as the glue on her eyelashes dry XD

Adding myself to the list with a FOC Wake Up Goldie Head, WS, no face up (purchased together with a friend who ordered a FOB Koonie head, NS, default face up).
I hope they won't take long to arrive!

I really can't wait to receive my WU Goldie!!!!

 

It's such a worry about whether the faceup will look like the picture or will it be a surprise (pleasant or unpleasant).

 

I ordered a FoF v.f. Lady Alice earlier this month when there was the special Halloween event + discount. Ordered her in blue-gray with bite marks but no makeup or anything.
So excited to get my hands on her x3

 

I just couldn't help myself! I love my PW Hucky and Mori so much that I'm getting a third - Lady Bee. I hope this will hold me for a good while. I feel guilty spending this much! Lady Bee should arrive Friday.

 

WOW! They were fast!
Only after a week later my order, PW emailed me to communicate the tracking number of my parcel with the two head i ordered from them!!!
Really unexpected!!! YAY!!!

It's odd that more people don't use this thread. If everyone did, it would be easier to keep track of how long PW takes to make and send the dolls.

 

periwinklestars, let's start nagging people to use this thread! I think many people don't know about it. I'll start bringing it up and linking to it in the other threads more often. Maybe that will help!

aikoe--I don't think the December dolls have shipped yet, but they should start shipping anytime. Are you active in the FOC thread? I bet you'll start seeing them there first! Come join us!

 

I'm not! I just hang out in the FoF thread. I'm trying to figure out roughly when I can expect mine based on the earlier orders shipping, but it's weird that there's nothing from November on this list. At this rate I'm guessing mine will ship in late April. Which is fine by me, because I have a sudden influx of dolls to get adjusted to!

I'm glad to see the increase in activity here--I am SO amazingly excited about my girls from December. I see that there are some Monthly Fairies and tinies from May/June that are not marked as received, but I bet they have shipped already--especially since my order from July was received in September. I have had both Mintie and Cue in my collection before, but I want, want, WANT to see the new Lolita body! I'm just so excited!

Just wanted to post. I wasn't on the list since the order was a surprise, but we ordered my girlfriend a blank tan Elf Tristan with special hands and feet back in March and she arrived on the fourth of this month. So hopefully some more tan and grey Tristan's will be going out soon.

Sooo I was planning to get a Dandy boy at some point, but one of the DDE staff just told me that Peakswoods orders usually take 6-7 months??? Looking at this waiting list, it looks like many orders only take 2-4 months. What's up with that? Does the time vary a lot, or is it that much faster to order direct rather than through DDE? D: Layaways are convenient, but I'll just order direct if it means I get my doll 3 months earlier... O_o

 

From what I've seen PW takes indeed 2-4 months...6-7 seems excessive. There will always be some extra delay with DDE as they order in batches but I didn't think it was 3 extra months o__O
Also, Peaks Woods offer a great layaway plan, no hassle, as long as you need etc. I think for some companies DDE is great (like Fairyland who do not offer any layaway) but I don't see the point with PW (except maybe slightly cheaper shipping for US residents).
In any case, hope that helps a little (what Dandy are you going for??)

 

Huh, weird! I was only told this because I went to add some Peakswoods heel feet to an existing order, and they warned me it would take 6-7 months. O___o

I didn't know PW takes layaway, so that's awesome and I'll probably buy direct, then! I'm actually just going for the Dandy body, hehehe. I'm planning to put my Dollgru #09 head on it. Even if PW sells the body separately again, I may get one with a head just because they are so cute and it would be fun to paint one! Bella the Moon is probably my favorite, but I also really love Tristan *3*

 

Just weighing in on the discussion about DDE Peakswoods orders...I ordered a Dandy from DDE in June and it's STILL not here. Maybe ordering direct is a lot faster, but it seems unusually slow through a second party. I've ordered a lot of other dolls from different companies through DDE, and never had this long of a wait before. It's nice to save on shipping, but yikes.
