PeaksWoods Waiting Room

Ok, I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I'm just now discovering this thread. I've ordered from Peak's Woods, er, several times, we'll say, and I've never joined in the waiting room!

I would like to add: if you need to get an answer about your order, customer service is usually really quick--but it's best to contact them through their Inquire Board, and use your order number (but not in the subject line). Put in "about my order" or something in the subject line. They've always gotten back to me within 24 hours or so, or after the weekend.

I'm currently waiting for a tanned Rabbit Goon and a Cheshire Goon head. I'd love to add KoonieS to my collection next, but I'm hoping for a Christmas or New Year event--which often happens. Eek! I'd love to see a redo of the Fairy of Bugs body, also--they just revamped the FOF body, and added the new AB to their large line, which I also love. So I'm thinking the minis are next...

 

I just ordered a boy Hucky. I saw him on the Dollheart website and I fell in love

I just tried to pay with Paygate but the processing page didn't load correctly. DNS server error or something... would it be alright to pay with PayPal or do I need to cancel and resubmit my order? I checked and money wasn't deduced from my account and the status still says incomplete payment, so I'm pretty certain the payment didn't go through.
EDIT #1: Peakswood messaged me back after 10 minutes and said PayPal was fine but in my ditzyness I forgot to put in my order number in the PayPal thingy.
EDIT #2: They just confirmed my payment a minute after I paid. These guys are FAST! And so nice too. I have a feeling this is going to be a wonderful experience

Oh, she's so cute! I had a hard time deciding which to get, boy or girl, but I decided to get a WS to be a little brother to my WS Souldoll Liddel. Sorry if this has been asked before, but how long does it take PW to ship a FoF? I couldn't find any information.

 

I ordered a FOC Goldie on 14/12/12. Very excited! This is my first PW doll. I've admired them for a long time, so I'm really happy I now have one on it's way to me!

 

Oh! Congratulations! Spare Christmas money? I nearly bought a Goldie when I entered the hobby back in 2007 but at the last minute I decided to get an Angelregion Diana instead. Kinda of regret that now

figured I'd poke my head in here to note for anyone else who's waiting that I ordered a FOF tan rabbit goon (without faceup) on 11/28, and I just got a shipping confirmation today... so it was around a 1 month turnaround! this will be the fastest I've ever gotten a doll... :')

 

Yay! Grats! Post many pictures when he arrives! Hopefully that means I've only got another week or two to go...

I ordered a FOC Yeru, YAY!!! I'm so glad to have found this thread! I've never waited this eagerly (and impatiently) for any doll before. I've always admired Yeru in random google/flickr/dollheart images, not knowing the sculpt or the company ... I was like wow this girl is so pretty I wish I could have her, but for some reason I never tried to look her up. And then I came to know about the PW girls very recently and found that exact face I was so in love with!! And I realized that I can't live without a PW girl .. or ten .. hahaha

I have a feeling that this is going to be a wonderful experience because of their amazing customer service and super nice emails. Sometimes I got a reply within 10 minutes!!! I found that they reply to messages really fast if you send emails between their business hours and not on weekends.
I'm confused about one thing though, I asked PW how long it might take to ship out my Yeru with default face up, they said about a week or two ... does this sound ok to you guys? Because I never has any pre-order dolls ship out sooner than a month!

 

Yes, their customer service is incredible! Whoever their English language customer rep is, they're awesome.

I can't say one way or another about the wait time they told you, since this has been my first time ordering with them as well....! Maybe they just happened to have one in stock?

 

Or it might have been a typo ... they probably wanted to say "a month or two" ... LOL

 

I know in the case of Luts, during events such as Christmas they make a few of the popular sculpts before hand (Bory seemed to be the popular one this year) and they ended up shipping those off about 2 weeks after people placed the orders. My very first doll, an Angelregion Diana ended up arriving to me a week or two after I placed the order. So maybe it's a possibility! Here's hoping that it is a week for you!

I'm already in the process of getting 3 sets of Dollheart outfits for my girl so that she doesn't have to be nekkie when she arrives. I also have two new wigs for her, and four pairs of shoes (I'm pretty sure they'll be too big on her) ... can't wait for her to try them on!!!

 

I love dollheart! Which sets are you getting? I've already got about 9 fullset outfits and a few pieces from this year's fukubukuro's, and I'm already planning my next sets... The reason I'm getting my Hucky is because 1) I've always wanted a YOSD sized doll, and 2) Hucky is their YOSD model (and such an adorable model!). I think dollheart is still having their free shipping event (ends 31st), there's a post on their facebook on 29th November telling you how to put in the code.

 

Hucky is really cute!!! Looks like he's going to be the best dressed yo-sd ever!! Did you get free shipping with your dollheart outfits? I'll check out their facebook page, but I think there was a notice on dollheart website that $500 worth purchases will have free shipping. I have my eyes on the Juanita and Renske outfits, will definitely order them if there's no purchase limit to get free shipping
So far I have 4 sets on layaway, the black sakura is one of them, the other ones are the sold out previous releases. Now I gotta run off to check FB for the free shipping code!!!

 

Oh! I have Renske and Juanita! Renske was my very first dollheart dress. And on 14/Dec I ordered 3 YOSD outfits, 2 SD outfits and 1 MSD. I used the code and got free shipping, but you can probably guess my order already came to quite a bit :P My jaw dropped when I pulled Juanita out of the box... it so... amazing. So much detail. My Volks Elena is wearing it at the moment. You need the Crinoline to make the skirt part puff out to make it look authentic, otherwise it just falls straight and looks kind of flat. Unfortunately Dollheart are sold out of the SD sized ones but there is a SD16 version and I'm wondering if that would work. It would be a bit big though, so... hrm... though I was thinking of using the big puffy skirt parts from one of the other dresses to puff it out as well, but you'd see the black bit under the dress. Might look a bit wierd. I was originally going to get Hucky through dollheart so he would have free shipping, but I decided against it.

I think Peakswood probably get alot of orders from people who see the PW doll models on the Dollheart website

 

SD16 have very very narrow waists compared to SD, so that might be something to watch out for...!

 

Oh, really? Well, apparently the Volks SD16's have 17cm waists and most of the Dollheart clothing goes on my Elfdoll Lydia, who also has a 17cm waist, so I'm safe there. The Volks SD13 girls have a 19cm waist, and the Peakswoods FOC girls have an 18cm waist. I can't see very well from the picture, but I think the waistband is elastic which means it could stretch? *shrug* I might give it a go, since I know it will fit the Elfdoll. Thanks for the heads up though, would suck if I went ahead without knowing before hand and it didn't fit any of them!

Let me know how the FOC poses. I rather like Briana sweet dark, and as much as I love my Elfdoll Lydia, her wobbly legs drive me nuts to the point of frustration so she might be getting switched...

Have to think of a name for my little guy... do any of you have names for your incoming dolls yet?

 

I just ordered FOC Vampire Briana on the AB Femme body, Type B. I chose the Lavin head for the event. I ordered her in normal skin with faceups on both heads. It's a layaway, so it may take a while. So excited!

 

monozuki--One month! That is fantastic! That is really, really fast! I think I have received dolls within 30 days before, but usually it is around 60 days for a single doll with a face-up. I usually have more than one doll (blush), or I might have ordered during an event. And in that case, it's about 90. I don't think I've ever waited more than 90, unless I've used a very long lay-away. I can't wait to see! I ordered a tan Rabbit Goon with face-up.

Taralphiel, Happy Birthday! I think you'll just love Goldie. There was one point in time in which I had three Goldies, I'm a little embarrassed to say, thanks to solarsenshe's photos on Flickr, for example, this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/solarsenshi/5401350016/ I bought one of Val Zeitler's Haute Doll exclusives, but found I couldn't replace my original, and then, I found a really good deal on a white skin girl as well and had her repainted by Leah Lilly. Now, I "just" have Claudine (Val's), and two different Wake-Up Goldies. But I covet a Vamp Goldie, and a tan version, LOL!

Hypercurve, often, PW does carry dolls in stock, and Yeru is one of their best-selling sculpts. (She is adorable.) She has also been around for a long while. It's quite possible she had been poured recently, and I know PW has been trying to keep at least one of each of their dolls in inventory this year. Also, they carry inventory to their shows, and they had quite a few in the late summer and fall. (It could have been a typo, though--feel free to email them in a week or two to ask--they are always friendly.)

Their business this year has doubled, with their events this year. They have been celebrating their tenth anniversary in 2012, plus Yeru was one of their original sculpts. She has been slightly resculpted--at least inside her head, to provide a magnetic head cap. I had a friend with an original one with the elastic loop to keep her head cap in place.

Anistasiya- free shipping on DH?? Oh no! Ack! I should have joined this thread! (I have Juanita, too--Since that purchase, I have been addicted. I have a serious DH problem!!) For what it's worth, I believe I have some Volks SD16 clothing I can try on one of my FOC girls. It's a nice fit on the AB bodies, and Tonner's American Model clothing is a snug but perfect fit, if you can get the hands through the sleeves.

Periwinklestars, I'm so glad they let you choose a Lavin head with your girl! That's great! I think you'll love her. (I'm a bit jealous of your Vamp Briana--she is also on my wish list!)

Anistasiya: I have a nice pouffy underskirt that my girl can wear with the Juanita dress (DH should start including crinolines with this kind of dresses >.<) but I might even order the SD16 size crinoline in future, hopefully the waist band is elastic ... if not then I can cut out a small part and add some velcro to it as an extension. I just paid off a layaway for two DH outfits ... that's all the clothes little Yeru is going to have until mommy can afford more ... lol

I've heard good things about the FOC pose-ability and their resin quality! Will let you know for sure once my FOC girl is here. Have you tried re-stringing your Lydia, or pulling/tightening up the leg string parts?
I made a little list of names for my girl, hopefully will be able to pick one out by the time she gets here

Dollheart do layaway?

I had asked them about the SD13 crinoline while ago and they said they had no plan to restock them, so the SD16 crinoline are our only hope, the only thing that I'm really worried about is the SD16 are a bit bigger than the SD13 (obviously) so even if we did get it, it might not work. Like the hoops might be down around the knee unstead of the up near the thigh. I've posted some pictures of my dolls in dollheart clothing, picture quality isn't that great but you can see what I mean about Juanita looking flat. Though it's not too bad, but it would look better if it puffed out.

I have restrung my girl a few times, but its just the way the legs are engineered unfortunately they don't grip the lower leg part and just slide all over the place. Wish I would've waited and got the new body. Oh well. She's been with me for awhile now so ultimately, it would be hard to let her go. Knowing me, I'd just end up getting Briana to be her bestie

Good thing I already know how pretty PW wigs are, now I can happily order two of the new wigs! Very well priced for the quality I'd say ^^

 

Hypercurve, no I haven't e-mailed them yet. I'd probably cave if it got to mid-Feb and I hadn't heard. But even then I'd probably hold off. I think I'm used to 3-4 month waits :P

No shipping notice for me either, but I'm sticking to my 'mid-Feb' rule and not e-mailing. They gave me no estimate, so I'm going to be patient. I actually haven't waited like this for a doll for quite a while. There have been times where I've even forgot a doll is on it's way! XD

I think it's because I've prepared for my Goldie to get here, so now I'm excited. The only thing she doesn't have is a name. She'll be Japanese, in a storyline I'm working on. I already have a Kaede and an Ayako. Maybe I could spend my time looking up names? :P

My mid-Feb rule is more about me being patient, and not getting too excited about my incoming girl. I think the more I plan and plot about her arrival, the more keen I am to check in and see where she's at. :P

Hello! I ordered a Peakwoods FoF Chichi boy with the "special" face-up. It looks like the wait is going to be a bit long - Denverdoll estimated that it would take 10-12 weeks. I also ordered him a Dollheart "Boy blue" outfit. I haven't seen owners pics of Chichi, so I'm a bit nervous to see him in person. Though, I think all Peakswoods dolls are gorgeous, so I'm sure I'll like him. He'll be my second Peakswoods doll - I already have a Punky Beetle boy.

 

Ah, Chichi is so cute! I really wanted to order the special red riding hood girl version but I couldn't figure out how she would fit into the story. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually So, big grats! You have to spam pictures when he arrives!

On a side note, my FOF Hucky shipped! Yay! 54 days since order date (including weekends + holidays, no face-up). So exciting. My Souldoll Liddel will have a little brother

 

FrigidDamsel, that's awesome! I love Chichi. I think he/she is adorable. It is a brand new sculpt, so I haven't seen any owner photos yet, either. I think the wait time is probably pretty long--though if you're going through a dealer--and with a face-up--that should be about right. You may be surprised and get him a little sooner. I can't wait to see! I love the outfit you chose for him, too. (I've been looking at that one for my tan Rabbit Goon boy I've been waiting for as well, but I'm trying to be good!)

alington: It does seem longer than I would have expected, but I can wait. I ordered another doll that was shipped today, and I don't like getting too many dolls at the same time anyway. I had so much trouble picking out Chichi's outfit! There are so many lovely YoSD Dollheart outfits to choose from. Do you have an outfit in mind for your Goon?
