I made my second payment on my Briana and almost straight away, received this email from peakswood:

You know, peakswood deserve an award for being the pleasantest company to deal with. Just getting this email made me smile and think how sweet they are. I would happily deal with them again. After customhouse burnt me out and almost made me give up on the hobby, peakswood reminds me that there are extremely professional companies out there.

I'm just sort of sneaking in here actually after having paid off my second layaway payment on the LE Briana that I believe Hobbysue is waiting for as well .

I'm planning on paying her off in full on Friday if I get paid enough so that at least one doll will arrive home for the holidays ^_^.

So congrats on everyone whose ordered, is waiting or is on layaway ^_^.

 

LOL. I'm going to make my final payment tomorrow as well. I sold one of my dolls and I'm clearing my layaways.

 

Well, my LE Briana is paid off and Peakswood said they will ship her on Monday. I doubt she'll be here before Xmas, but the timing should work out well because I told my hubby I wanted a new camera for Xmas so I'll be able to take photos of her.

 

I am starting to wonder. I know they had posted that order will be shipped out day after payment, did they only mean the LE dolls? I ordered just a blank head on the 5th and still it only says that they got my payment. I sent an email last week but I have not heard anything back.hhmmm

 

Yes, they would only be referring to the Christmas LEs. They are made up and in limited quantities so were ready to ship straight away. Most of the dolls were only in editions of 1-3 dolls. Even normal LEs don't get made up straight away. There is usually at least a one month wait for most BJDs.

Edit: Forgot ask does Peakswood send a shipping notice or do you have to check your account?

 

Peak's Woods sent me a shipping notice so I'm assuming that is the usual method?

My LE Briana is on her way as well ^_^. I'm crossing my fingers that customs doesn't hold her for more than a day, which gives me a total of 5 days in which to receive her! (Usually dolls from Korea have taken a day or so to arrive in the country and then a day for customs and for them to get to the proper distribution center ^_^.) SO EXCITED!!!

 

I checked and my EMS number is working. My guaranteed date of delivery is the 30th December so I'm going to assume that's when she will arrive. Not a problem as she's still going to be close enough to be an Xmas present.

 

Briana is now in Brisbane and it looks as if she's maybe cleared customs so hopefully she'll be here either tomorrow or Friday. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed as well that your girl arrives tomorrow or Friday HobbySue! I did have a question though, where did you find the estimated delivery date? I keep looking for it on my papers but mine says Dec 20, which is the day they shipped her out :S.

 

The estimated delivery date popped up on the Korean site.

Meanwhile, my girl was scheduled for delivery, but then on the website I see "attempted delivery - customer not known at address". Translation: the delivery guy had a full truck/didn't want to head out to my area/had a backlog of deliveries so stuck a bogus message on my package to explain why it was left sitting at the depot for the day. Not impressed. I phoned Australia Post and made a complaint. If the guy can't deliver on time, then he needs to get extra help or to forward the parcel onto someone who can deliver it. They did the same thing with approx 5 other dolls so far. When I rang, the Australia Post guy didn't sound too impressed either and told me to take a printout of the screen and my ems docket to the post office and make a formal complaint. He said it would get further than simply phoning. So I'll do that when she arrives. With any luck she'll get delivered because the moment they know you're tracking the parcel, they figure they'd better send it out.

 

Oh ouch . Sorry to hear that happened to you Hobbysue! I really hope you can get a formal complaint in, it's really shameful when they do things like that!

I'm currently in a bit of trouble with my girl as well. She was delivered to the local postal hub at like 5am today but she's still not out for delivery :S. If she ends up delivering tomorrow, my mom will be home and I don't think that will go over well at all. I'll either have to pull out an "OMG I WON A CONTEST" lie or just try to explain why she's here >_<. I keep trying to contact the post office to see if they can just hold her there for me but I keep getting hung up on by the automated service. Gah..this is a disaster.

 

Well, mine arrived today and I was going to save her for Xmas. Instead my youngest daughter said that if I didn't open her, she would so I opened the parcel. I'm glad in a way, because I was expecting dark green eyes and instead I got rather vibrant blue/green. Not quite the colour I was after. I think I need to fiddle around and find her look and wig. At present, she appears to be a bit of a conehead and I think the right wig would change that. I need to look at my mohair I think.

My girl arrived today, just in time for Christmas! I managed to get my mom to sign for it and not ask questions by saying that its a group order. Luckily the box says "Doll Set" on it so it's believable!

I may not get a chance to open her at all today due to the family traveling out of town for the evening to visit family friends. I'll post a box opening once I can get to it!

Got my shipping notice today so my girl is off to get her faceup done. Not too long of a wait at all.

Very fast. If your Goldie was an Xmas special, which I'm assuming she was, then she should ship very quickly. Mine shipped in a few days. I'm guessing yours will probably ship tomorrow (Monday their time) so possibly 24 hours?

And she landed in Sydney this morning now I have to figure out how to keep the family at home tomorrow so I can get her before Easter. Its all I can do not to jump into the car and go to the airport and drive around to the EMS terminal and beg them to release her to me.

Hello Everyone, I know I'm pretty late but i've recieved my Briana sweet milk a couple days ago in i just wanted to share my excitment. Peakswood is one of the best companies ever. Their shipping was extremly fast, my girl was shipped out on August 30 - arrived September 1 (Fast right?). The customer service was even better they answered all of my question very quickly. And to top it all off thier dolls are absolutely beautiful.(I've just fell in love with PeaksWoods). Sorry for my spazzing I'm just so excited.

I put in my order for my LE vamp Goldie!! She'll be on layaway for a while, thanks to PeaksWoods being so easy to work with, but I am really excited about her. Does anyone know what resins match these girls? I don't like the PW body and plan on selling/trading it when she gets here. My favorite body is the Luts mature bust body, which I'd have to track down on the secondary market as I guess they have stopped making those for a while, but that would be my choice. Now I just have to find her some clothes.....off to Silje's Boutique again....?

 

I thought I better join this thread. I just placed an order for tan lady bee, tan yeru and also tan goldie. On a long layaway of course, but so excited!

 

I thought I'd jump in here as my other half bought me a Vampire Goldie for my birthday and I'm just so beyond excited! I have no ideas yet on naming or character but fingers crossed she arrived in a month or so, otherwise it'll end up being an early and late birthday present *lol*
