so, not counting LEs, anyone have an idea of how long a doll takes to ship from PW? I've never ordered from them before and have no idea what kind of wait I'm looking at lol

I got a basic doll, but I did get the limited bitten torso. No faceup.

And congrats in advance to everyone getting their hands on the Event LEs. so far they've been gorgeous!! Brianna is still available i see....XD

 

I lost count on how many days I've been waiting! I ordered my Goldie on the 25th of September but I find NOT counting the days a lot easier on me and it keeps me from fraging at the postie every morning! XD

 

My Bloody Alice should have shipped this week but no luck Evidently Peakswoods is waiting on the clothing and such from Dollheart which is why there's a holdup.

 

Aww. I've been waiting for yours to ship, since mine should be close behind. Oh well, atleast we know what the hold up is.

 

I asked on the inquiry board and received lots of apologies. They said they had a shipping notice from Dollheart, though, and that my girl should ship this week for sure (they said this Wednesday) so I'm HOPING I'll see a shipping notice this evening.

Actually the one that Noddyfry got was limited to 1 ^^;.

I'm joining this waiting room with my LE FOC Briana that was limited to 3. She's on a 3 month layaway while I wait for things to sell so likely I won't see her until the New Year!

It would be nice to pay her off earlier but I think it'll be better to have her waiting until the New Year. At least that year I can count her as being bought in that year and not having all my dolls arrived in 2010 xD.

Congrats on grabbing Briana, she's gorgeous (they all are!). Thankfully I haven't fallen in love with any of them, trying to curb my impulse buys during the Xmas season, but it's harder than anticipated due to all the events. I want everything ever.

 

omg I got an email from PW!!! My girl shipped! I can't believe it!!! I really didn't expect it would be this fast!!!

I'm now waiting for a Xmas Limited Briana as well. I've made the first payment and I'm hoping I should be able to make the next payment next week so that will speed her up a little. With any luck, I may possibly be able to get her before Xmas. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Morgan is IN the UK! YAY! I'm just hoping she doesn't know she's in London or I'll never get her here. She'll find her way into some designer shop! XD

 

Congatulations on her arrival. Hopefully she'll be with you very shortly. I'm hopeful that I should be able to make my second payment well ahead of schedule this week so that should move Briana a month closer to arriving here.

 

So everyone getting the Holiday Event LEs are going to take lots of pics when they arrive, right?? I'm dying to see more of some of them!

My girl should be showing up today. She's in STL now, and my PO peoples know I like to get my stuff asap , so they tend to just wave the signing and leave it there. I'll be going home at lunch to rescue her if the tracking says she's been delivered. If not, I'll go home anyway to get the slip XD

 

My girl's been nabbed by customs so I'll have to go collect her soon.

 

Ack! She is so fabulous! completely worth my mooning over her for more than two years *sobs*
I even love her hands! I didn't think I would from seeing pictures, but she came with two pairs and the ones she has on now are so pretty X3

I was also nicely surprised to get a wig and eyes with her. The wig is gorgeous, I think it's the one from the first event LE, black with bangs...I paid an insane amount of money for a wig for her though, so she won't be wearing it. I do like the eyes however, she might keep those.

I'm just in love with her!! The only thing that makes me unhappy is that I had to leave her behind to go back to work!! *kicks work*

So looks like still more waiting. Was hoping to have her by Thanksgiving but unless she ships today, there's no chance of that happening, and probably still unlikely even if she did.

There seem to have been a lot of hold-ups. I think there's been a huge expo in China which caused delays. I'm waiting on a few Aria dolls and they've got notices up advising of production delays. That seems pretty standard at present.

Peakswoods says they're waiting on the stuff from Dollheart to clear customs, so they're hoping to ship by this week as they'll be working Saturday, but at the latest next week. Bluargh. This wait feels eternal!

I got me a Christmas Event Goldie ... and I am still dancing around the house. But she now has to be paid for, I am paying the deposit now and that means ... I have to wait. Rats. But I don't think it will be too bad, I am planning on culling my fashion Dolly collection a lot more and see how fast I can get her here. I am giving myself two months with a plan on getting here in four weeks time. Anyways, she is coming eventually. Just wish it was now!

Hehe - once I've banked my cash on Monday I can pay her off!!!! I also received some Val Zeitler clothes I bought for her, they are HUGE I'm really starting to understand how BIG she will be. For years the largest doll I would accept was 12 inches, that graduated to 16 inches last year and now it'll be 24 inches!

Need some shoes now...

Fiiiiinally, my Bloody Alice shipped! I'm guessing she won't be here this week, but maybe Mon or Tuesday of next week. Crossing my fingers!

 

Received my LE Wake Up Goldie - slightly disapointed, am going to wait a few days.

 

Why are you disappointed?

 

She's a beautiful doll, but her blush is all over her face and very pink - I don't mind blushy but only on her cheeks. This blush covers her whole face including her forehead and chin. Doesn't seem to come up in photos but its really really pink.

Plus they sent wrong wig. I don't actually mind that bit lol, I just need to look at her for a few days.

 

I woke up to find my Bloody Alice is on shipping this morning after a night of nightmares about her opening! First I dreamt that the customs workers stole her Apron because they thought it was sick and left me a note in the box telling me so, and later I dreamt that I opened her and recieved the wrong doll. It was a chubby little pink tiny that was actually pretty cute and no outfit. I was at a loss for what to do for some reason. Hopefully she arrives Ok !

Could you post us a picture? I for one would love to see her, and her wig. When I got my goldie sorted, I was asking about her wig and they told me the wig in the picture was something they had done a while ago and they were not going to part with it. The wig I will get is a random one. I can only hope it looks lovely and isn't blonde! I just dont think BLonde hair and all the white white body will look alright. I am very interested to see what wig your FOC came with for purely selfish reasons, and to also check the dolly out, she was the first one!

Thanks for that, I checked them out! I can see what you mean, she is so terribly gorgeous but the wig? Thats what I have been a little concerned about, blonde just doesn't sit well with the lovely pale skin. With a brunette wig, the effect would have been just like the picture, and I think you wouldn't have noticed the blushing on the face so much. If I get a pale wig on my new Goldie, she'll probably look like she has covered her face in baby oil and went to sleep in the sun for 12 hours!

But she is so stunning, so divine and in the VAl Zietler frocks!!! Yummy!!!!!!! and the blue box must have made your pulse race!

Am culling my non BJD dolly collection today, tomorrow and getting the stuff earmarked for sale up on ebay. After seeing your yummy pics, I want my Goldie right away!!!!!!!

If I remember right, it specifically said she came with a black wig, so Peakswoods shouldn't balk at replacing it for you, I assume you've contacted them?

Maybe PW is out of black wigs right atm? I got my Dark Briana with a blonde wig and was a little bit surprised as well.

 

I ordered my Lady Bee yesterday. I am having her shipped right to her Faceup artist though so I dont know when I will get to meet her. I can hope before the new year.

Is anyone else having issues tracking Korean post? I keep getting an error message when I try to tract my Bloody Alice, but it WAS working to begin with, just now it's not.

 

Mine worked just now, but alot of pop up's came up for me, I just canceled all of them. My last update she was on a plane yesterday.

 

i use track-trace.com to track all my dolly packages and i've never had any problems - my dolls currently in customs and i assume will be out by tomorrow

 

I just keep getting pop-ups in Korean and then I just get redirected to some sort of error page, whether I use the EMS tracking directly, or track-trace. The US site shows SOME tracking, but it tends to be unreliable until the package is moving within the US.

 

that's interesting that you're getting pop-ups and that your tracking is unreliable until it reaches the US. i usually have the opposite situation: the tracking is super reliable UNTIL it reaches the US and then USPS takes over and we all know how super lame their tracking is (however after it's out of customs it only takes a day to get to me).

if you're having a bunch of pop-ups then maybe you should install a pop-up ad blocker on your browser or you may even have a virus. i've been using track-trace for over a year since i entered the hobby and have NEVER had pop-ups from their website. (just for info's sake, im on a mac using chrome) you could always try using a different browser and seeing if there's any difference. if you'd like you can give me your tracking number and i can see if i see any difference on my side.

I don't mean like pop-ups like pages, pop-ups like messages of some kind about the site, but they're in Korean. I think they want me to install a plug-in, but it's not like they prompt me to download anything. I've just been randomly selecting which button to press, left or right, of the options given, and finally the tracking page loaded up, although not in English, but at least I know it got to JFK yesterday, so MAYBE it'll show up here tomorrow, but Tuesday is more likely, unless it gets held up in customs. The Xmas season is a rough time to get dolls, they always seem to get bogged down once they enter the US.

 

well my bloody alice left customs yesterday at 5pm (but didn't update until at least midnite monday) so i wouldn't be surprised to see a package on TUESDAY

 

No updates on the tracking today, so guessing my Bloody Alice won't arrive this afternoon. Hopefully tomorrow though. I haven't had a box opening in like, TWO MONTHS. My hands are shaking, I'm going through withdrawal here!
