PeaksWoods Waiting Room

Hey Keitarin, I’d say no need to be concerned just yet. They normally don’t start making your doll until after all payment are received and that is usually a 60-90 business day wait from there.

I placed an order at the beginning of November and I’ve only just got around the 70 day mark so we’re not quite there yet.

Basically all orders sit at “pending” until they get shipped if that helps alleviate concerns

Peak’s Woods does most of the processing after your final payment, taken from their layaway instructions,

“It generally takes about 50 to 70 business days(weekends and holidays not included) to ship a doll or dolls from the final payment date unless there are no other conditions notified.”

I have a Korean business day calculator and tonight puts you at day 33, so you’ve still got a while to wait. Will be the longer end of the time frame if you had faceup or manicure, and then it’s the New Hear so there’s plenty of holidays around this time too. Here’s the calculator I use to help!

 

Just a bit of an update, I noticed my status has changed to "queued for shipping" so if that gives anyone a bit of a yardstick to run by I hope it helps - I'll confirm when she's shipped

 

Me again, confirming she’s shipped 05/03, and arrived 08/03
So that was pretty much 4 months to the day, I hope that helps anyone who may be waiting - in the meantime please enjoy some quick photos I took while I mull over her name

 

From what I read on th elayaway page, "
*The doll will be ordered and made after the first layaway payment and the rest of the procedure(drilling, sanding, assembling, make-up) starts when the order is fully paid off."

So the doll is made at the start of layawya, but all extras aren't started till after the last payment.
I'm so excited though! Just ordered a tan Shaia on layaway. Been dying for one of those boyyys

Hello again! I the email that my order shipped on April 2nd, and it looks like my doll has made it to the US now. So close...!

 

@Keitarin yay! What resin color did you order and was it faceupped?

 

@Cuteasadoll Yep, it's faceupped and I got green resin. I ordered a full package Vampire Dorothy from the Halloween event.

My girl finally arrived and she is ADORABLE, but... I'm pretty sure I was supposed to get the wig and shoes with this package. And I can't figure out where to check everything that was supposed to come in my layaway, so I don't know if Peak's Woods forgot them or if I just messed up my order back when I set up the layaway. Oh, dear... Now I have two bald, barefoot girls in my house. xD

 

@keitari oh no! Well they do ask that you pay for accessories with the first layaway payment. If they did set you up to do that, then it's their mistake forgetting them in the box. If they didnt he added in with your first payment, then they probably werent ordered and set aside for you. Do ask them directly of course!

 

Lottie delivered today. 2.5 day ship time. Not bad at all!

 

Okay, so I'm the one who was mistaken. ^ ^; Emailed Peak's Woods a couple days ago and they promptly replied and cleared up the confusion. They've got a wonderful customer service dept.!

 

I decided to order a FoB Mia. She's so cute and I missed the first time they had an event. Now I can finally join in the wagon here.
Doing a 3 month layaway plan and just paid the first one.

I took the plunge and put an FOC Dandy Seize on layaway this will be my second Peak's Woods doll this year

 

I finally got a shipping notice for my girl! It's been 8 months since I finished her layaway, I was nervous they forgot my order or something lol. She's a Blow on the Lolita body in green skin with face up, ahh I can't wait for her to be here!

 

I was informed my doll would ship in september! -sigh- Another full month of waiting, but at least it gives me more time to prep for him!

Put a FOC Dandy Gentle Monsters Kasspio (vampire version) in Lavender pink skin on layaway a few weeks ago! Will probs be paying him off till Feburary, but I'm super excited to be getting him in nonetheless!! The wait will give me more time to figure out a character/style for this cutie

It took me 5 months to get my Shaia . I ordered in March, he arrived in August. If it helps? With makeup in suntan

I just finished my layaway for my Vampire Mona! The e-mail from them said 70-100 business days, so I’m guessing about a 5 month wait from here. It’s a long wait but PeaksWoods dolls are so worth it.

 

Finally I placed my order for a Hunky Dory! After refreshing the page continuasly. Ordered her in blue grey plus the make up of Alice in wickedland, together witht he yellow alice wig and shoes. First wanted to do a layaway, but then I figured it was easier to just pay in full. Have had my eyes on her for quite a while so im really excited. Now I can start looking or making an outfit for her in the wait time ^^

 

@Mademoiselle Grymms May I ask, how did you place the order for the special Alice in Wickedland makeup? I thought they were only offering the new School Girl makeup at this time, but I'm happy to find myself mistaken. I always loved Tristan in blue-grey skin with her Alice in Wickedland makeup and was heartbroken to have missed her. It would be a dream come true if I could order her now

 

Well I send them an ask via their message board. I also thought it wasn't possible at first, since they had in big letters "no make up change". However when i asked they stated I should link the make up I wanted in the comments. So I did that, and now I'm hoping it wasn't all a big misunderstanding

Hopefully they will find her somewhere in that big scary airport. They know she has arrived there but not where she is. Maybe she just got cookie cravings and went lost in a cookie store somewhere at the airport

 

I contacted PW for help for a couple days ago and they promised me to do what they can to find her.

..and something is now happening with the tracking. I hope this is a good sign

My Emerald Green Knox the Monster has shipped today! I started the layaway on him in October and finished in December. I expected him to ship towards the end of May, so I'm super happy!

Just got a shipping notice for my Hunky Dory! I'm so excited, really needed this since there have been some bad things happening around me lately and I really need a light point. Can't wait to have her in my hands, really wonder how the face up I ordered turned out in person

 

Exciting! I've really fallen in love with the Hunky Dory sculpt recently. I hope you post lots of pics!

Update: she arrived last Thursday! Was lucky with customs because they thankfully down marked her (was expecting I had to pay like 200 euros on taxes, but lucky me did not need to). She's just perfect and so happy how relatively fast she came. I ordered her in special skin with face up on the 15th of February and with just a bit more then 4 months she got to me! Wish other company's where this fast... (looking at the impldoll body I ordered almost a year ago and still don't have it)

 

Just put in an order for a FOB Romi in Pink Punch skin ! I've always wanted a Peak's Woods doll and I'm so excited to get her! I'm also excited to see what head I get with the event, but I'm doing a four month layaway plan so I probably won't find out until March 2020 by the earliest. This is only my second bjd and the first that wasn't already made before ordering so lets see how I hold up with the long wait...

 

Just remembered that waiting rooms exist!
I put in an order for a Punky Beetle head and a Romantic KoonieS head on 7/7/2019! This is the first time I've bought a doll (or doll parts) directly from a company, so I'm super nervous. I'm getting more and more anxious with each passing day.
Just waiting for that "pending" to change any day now

 

Finally caved in and ordered an Omelas' Cats version of Vampire Cosmos!

 

The Omelas' Cats are so darn cute it was hard not only to resist buying one but hard to choose which one! I put a Vampire Red on layaway in pink punch today. I'm super excited to see what the pink punch skin looks like

My RED and Little Yeru heads shipped today. I ordered them a month apart, but they shipped them together. Kinda miffed I had to pay shipping twice if they were gonna do that, but at least the waiting time was short

 

He finally arrived last week after 6 months of waiting. And I was sent his shipping notice a week after he'd already arrived... ^^;;

I wouldn't even have known to expect to look out for the mail if I hadn't decided to check my Peak's Woods account and noticed that though he was still marked 'Queue for Shipping', there was an active EMS number attached to this status and clicking on it showed he was already at the airport waiting for his flight! XD

I guess they are currently short-staffed??
