@kurisu Yeah, I think you are right about the lips; not as angular and Dlight's seem a bit fuller.

@reitaism Now that you pointed it out, this nude type of faceup could be whats messing up my Bella senses. But I like the faceup a lot too- nude lips are my favorite. I agree with you about Segi, I'd like to have one of him one day.

krystina - Thanks for all the amazing links on flickr! I tried to look for Peak's Woods dollvie photos too, but only found a fraction of what you discovered. I was kinda hoping to see photos of new Dandies, but it's good to see photos of Hunky Dory besides the promotional ones, her face looks more balanced in these photos, maybe because of a more nude lip coloring? & Her eyes are the sweetest.

Cathie Milwaukee - I'm just so excited to see your Rogita the Witch! I'm in fits over here, please share your photos of her after her welcome back party!

Reitaism - I fell in love with Elf Tristan when she first came out, I really wanted her just like the promotional photos with tan skin, but since I didn't have any SD sized dolls I waited and missed out to buy her at the time & then when they released Tristan as Alice I jumped on it thinking "here is my chance to get a tan Tristan girl!" I was kinda wanting to get Tristan Elf again when they re-released at the end of last year, I didn't expect them to re-release limited dolls, but I think it would have just been too much for me even as a Tristan fan. ^^;

Kurisu, Congrats on paying off your white Rabbit!! I'd love to have them re-release tropical tan sometime in the future too.. finger's crossed for a limited in this color.

I payed for my Absolute beauty Lottie back in mid April, so hopefully I will be seeing a notice in a few weeks or so. I have been breaking a personal rule and buying up wigs, eyes, and clothing for her homecoming, I made this rule since I tend to change my mind about the dolls personal style after meeting them, but I really wanted to have a few outfits to dress her up with and I have this image of her being a red head since she is the "fairy of carrot" and all. I also got a nice big display case to house my SD dolls!

Yeah, I so hope we get another chance at that tropical tan (PW told me it's extremely hard to cast, but they also really love it).

I'm back and need some help. My Rogita arrived safely today. The head looks wonderful. They only had to fix the upper lip and it looks fine to me. I tried to re-attach the head and can't seem to figure out the trick. The elastic is so tight and I tried to pull the elastic with a piers and turn it to lock in the grooves. But both times it flew out of my hand. I'm just not strong enough. That makes me think I don't get the system. It just can't be that hard to put on a head?????? I made tiny chips inside the resin so stopped cold.... I NEED DIRECTIONS AS TO WHAT I MIGHT BE DOING WRONG?

 

Try to press on the S-hook, so that it sort of "lays flat" in the head, while you twist it to fit in the socket things. That is at least what they suggest themselves. You sort of flick it in place (sorry, not good at explaining this in English I'm afraid)

 

oh no ;A; before I got my volks stringing tool (which was a god send) I used crocheting hooks to pull up my s-hook to fit it in the grooves. If absolutely none of those were around, I would get a strong string and tie it to the s-hook and pull on that.... it can be really tough when the elastic is so tight, and I've hurt myself plenty from that. Are you pulling on the elastic or the s-hook??

 

Thanks to both of you for helping me. Kurisu, that did the trick. I was shocked, still hard to do but snapped in quickly. I AM SO RELIEVED. Now I can finally put her together with the wig that I originally ordered. It came with the repainted head. So expect a photo tonite or tomorrow depending on when I get a few moments. THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY NERVES.

Even tho I had an upsetting arrival of this doll I will back Peak's Woods 1,000%. They are so good with communicating unlike some companies. AND!!!! They have the best faceups ever. So beautiful. I've never seen a photo in this group of a doll I wouldn't want to own. Just gorgeous artistry.

 

Thank you reitaism, I've copied both suggestions to my notes and refer to them when needed. (I forget stuff). I like the idea of the string, esp for smaller dolls. The elastic is like rock, just couldn't understand how their staff could deal with the struggle. I guess U jest haveta know what the heck you are doing. I'm learning (hard way).

A photo at last, a long time coming. I have a few pictures in my Flicker album but nothing really sharp and clear yet. Been spending time in the garden and not working with my dolls. I will be painting her fingers bright red to match the lips. The special hands came in a coral color, not exactly what I expected. Rogita in white skin.

Hehe, with that wig, the white skin, and deep red lips, she looks quite like Snow White, but I think Rose suits her just as well! She's definitely a lovely flower of a doll in that dress!

One of my local doll friends likes to use her doll sculpts for name inspiration, too! She has a couple of FairyLand faceplates who share a body, and she named her Lora faceplate Lorraina, her Chloe is named Charisma, and her Ital is named Natalia.

 

Cathie, your new doll Rose is gorgeous! Peaks Woods is really knocking it out of the park with their faceups! I love the color of Rose's eyes too...they really pop with her makeup color. You must be so pleased! Congratulations!!

Oooh is it just me or he looks kinda like Cosmo's wake up brother the nose particularly I think.
I think I'm safe with this guy as I already have a romantic eyed dandy and I've enough difficulties with him haha *prefers open eyes*

According to Peakswoods Facebook, his name is Kass. They'll be debuting another Dandy tomorrow named Keith. So you might want to prepare yourself!

 

oooooh, looks like maybe that could be our mystery guy from the dollvie photos? just at first glance cos faceup and outfit. I was hoping they would start previewing them sooner than this, but oh well, I decided against the fobs anyway... so excited to see more boys!!

My Bella is still at the artist bc I got so busy I still haven't sent the description of what I want *fail* but I think I'm pretty safe doll wise for the rest of the year as I'm also still paying off Goldie. But we'll see XD

I feel you on that... I'm paying off 4 atm ~_~;;;;;;;;;;;;; but almost done with 3 of the 4 xD trying to hold out until christmas... but doesn't make me any less excited to see these new boys! I wonder what kind of clothing sets will be offered with them, if any. Cos I'd love to get ahold of those clothes we saw in the Dollvie pics, as well as it looks like in Kass' photo.

 

I have my dear Buny Tristan and also paying 2 Soom dolls, and in my list are two more, so I'm in the same boat, I really hope I don't need more dandys pleasee!! but I'm super excited! Love love my Tristan and PW boys are gorgeous!!

 

I just sent a payment to PW for my dandy tristan... gyaahh... I hadn't paid on him in awhile cos I put all the monies on vamp tristan to pay her off. I ordered him with the white rabbit faceup, but I kinda wish I didn't now. It's such a gorgeous faceup that I had to have it but now I see it a lot and I think for his character I want something a little different now, so I think I may end up changing it... therefore I paid the extra for nothing ~_~;;; oh well.. maybe I can tweak it somehow. I do want to ask them to not put all the shimmer on x_x I notice a lot of companies love piling on that shimmer now... it drives me a little batty.

 

I have asked them to change/ cancel a faceup before so if you haven't paid him off yet they might let you cancel the faceup or change something

I'm not sure if they will since posting that they don't want people asking for changes after purchase... I will definitely ask for no shimmer, but maybe I can ask for going easy on the blush too...

 

I think that is because they don't want everybody to write them changes, but I think you should at least try. I'd say it's fair to want a little change when you've had a chance to see some owner pics worst case they say no. ^^

 

this is true. i just don't want to be a pain because they've already worked with me a lot on him. and looking over his faceup, the blush and shimmer are all i really want to see gone for now. the only other thing i'd probably want to ask about is the brow shape, but even that when thinking about it, will be covered a lot by wigs. I may just get another Tristan in the future and get a different skin tone and faceup xD

I'm really dying waiting for my vamp tristan... I don't expect to have her until the end of the year with the way things are going with shipping... I would be happy if she came before the end of October at least.. I have only ever had the AB body so I'm not sure what to expect with her clothes-wise in the lolita body, so I've been holding off buying anything for her... I would really love if all my girls could wear the same sizes ~_~

 

Those seem like fair requests for the faceup I'm sure they'd like for you to be happy with your doll ^^

Hmm...the Lolita body is very petite, so it can be a little difficult to find clothes that fit. Even DollHeart is loose :O

 

Yeah, those are two requests I feel I can get away with xD;;

DollHeart is loose?? yargh... I have a volks sdgr girl and a feeple60 moe girl.... (of the smaller girls, the other girl is a feeple65 so not even going to compare lol). For the most part, my volks sd/sdgr clothes can fit my feeple girl but things are a little baggy in the chest or too long... does anyone know how the lolita body compares to either of these two bodies?

 

I have an Elf Tristan on the normal bust Lolita body and a fm60 girl and I can tell you that the Lolita body is slightly slimmer in the bust and hips but it is a bit taller. It's mostly noticeable with the torso length depending on the style of the garment. I have to get ready for work right now but I could take comparison pics of them side by side later if you'd like?

 

omg, I would love that! Thank you! Most appreciated.... I imagine most girl dolls would be taller than the fm60 xD but those hips are big enough to fit in my taller girl's clothes... I'm really curious to see the comparison though.

Thank you SO MUCH for these! It's very helpful! Is it a bit accurate to say their hips look about the same width? Then from the waist up is where you just really see the difference (other than height lol my girl is definitely going to be looking up to tristan xD)

 

You're welcome! ^___^ and yeah their hips are super close but the FL girl is a tiny bit bigger. I have a pair of ttya shorts that squeeze onto my PW girl but I couldn't pull them all the way up on my FL girl, they got stuck on her hips. haha The PW body also has longer rise than the FM60 body so it actually fits standard pants pretty nicely without the waist bagging out the way they can on the FL body.

Honestly, Dahlia is still holding onto her spot as my fave sd in my collection. She's just so pretty, elegant, and fits most standard sd clothes beautifully. The only complaint I have is how hard she is to unstring, I need to restring her properly but my hands hurt just thinking about dealing with her string again. I don't even want to change her hands and and feet. :P

 

Is it really so bad that you don't even want to do her hands and feet? o_o lol... Well thank you for all that info. With that and looking at her, I wonder i she will be closer to my sdgr girl. I actually found that volks sd10 clothes fit my fm60 girl better while the sdgr fits a little snug in those.. but more various clothes. if that makes sense. Sounds like the lolita body will be the same... Well, things to think about. Thank you so much again for the photos!

Dem 2 boys... I dunno which one I like better, though their styles are pretty similar lol. Can't wait to see them on their sales pages!

 

When my Tristan Elf appeared finally months ago I was a bit puzzled by her. I couldnt figure out how she should be styled, and even considered selling her - crazy when I had struggled to buy her, but was so desperate to have her I committed to a long layaway just to get her! My wonderful friend Takhisis agreed to make an outfit for her, and finally today I got to go and pick her up and bring her home. I changed out her eyes and just tried a Leekeworld wig on her and BAM!!!! She is perfect! I am so happy with her. So here is Malice

thank you. She wasn't working for me for the longest time. Eyeco eyes and an olive green wig just transformed her. She is my otherworld Alice in Wonderland and now I can't wait for my Mad Hatter to come home

I have Crobi and Volks boys at home, but from what I've seen of PW NS in photos (I've only had WS PW doll before..), it looks like a completely different NS from most I've experienced.
