man i would love to see that new lavender pink on a big girl. I definitely wouldn't mind having a romantic lady bee someday though... but i still have my tristans on layaway.

i'm wanting to pay off my vamp tristan, but i'm wondering how long of a wait i'll be in for once paying her off. It seems like a lot of you guys waited for mooonnnnnnnths x_x what is really the average wait time?

 

Well, the wait time depends on the popularity of the sculpt I suppose. I've waited a little over 3 months for my blue grey White Rabbit, but no shipping notice so far. When I bought my FoFs it only took around 2 months for the normal skin ones. So yeah, it's not possible to say the exact wait time, but between 2 and 3 months is normal, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less ^^"

I really hope they'll make lavender pink FoCs. Maybe for the Halloween event or Christmas event ^^

 

i was hoping a little less with the change of having preordering periods but.. they seem to be keeping busy!

Ohhh... I didn't even think about halloween or christmas.... argh, I don't even want to think about the temptations xD

 

I love the new F O B's wasn't expecting them to be so cute! I am still waiting on my Dlite and Hunky Dory so don't know about having another on on the wait list.

 

I just got my shipping notice yesterday for my White Rabbit! Yay! I think they might have forgotten about him, as I got his track and trace as an answer to me asking on their Inquiry board when I could expect him to ship XD

 

CONGRATS!! I'll be paying off my vamp Tristan this weekend, but I'm not expecting to see her until almost Halloween. I understand PW not making the dolls at the beginning of the layaway, but... i wish they would xD

I got her gray... i wanted to order a second in white, but already having white dandy tristan on layaway too, it seemed excessive... lol. I'm so excited to see what's coming up with the new dandys tho. But i definitely would like to see some big girls in this new pink lavender.

I definitely want to see Hunky Dory when she gets into people's hands, but I'm wondering if we'll get new dandy sculpts or just current girls turned boys... or if we'll just get some current dandys with new limited faceups? Either way, excited to see.... Can't wait to see your Tristan when he shows up tho! The spam is never enough lol

I'm very sad that the old FOC have been discontinued. I loved Goldie, Yeru, and Sky so much. I can just hope someone is selling in the future!

@ Kawachu, The limited Vampire Cosmo idea sounds very exciting!! .. I bet they will do something like this for Halloween - or at least I hope they do! *squee* I'm so excited to see what your Bella will look like when he comes back from the Spa!! I would love to read your description, do you give exact instructions like colors, etc, or just more of the "atmosphere" of the doll you want? *curious* I've always ordered my dolls with factory faceups.

Upon daydreaming about my Cosmo though I realized I don't really know what look I want for my Cosmo actually, everyone seems to know what kind of character they want in this thread but I just really love the sculpt with the cute prominent nose and deep set eyes. All I really know is that I definitely want a skincolor other than Suntan as I have two dolls in this Resin color. I really enjoyed the studious and "New York" look and I like the sporty look too! Haha, I like them all. Same with Bella, I like both the gentle and smirky aspets of him. Bella seriously reminded me of Tamaki from Ouran High School Host club when he was first released though! Like this photo here, looking all Princely, or the with the school outfit. I wish Sadol didn't make their outfits so time limited. /le sigh.

My witch Rogita is finally shipping. PW went past the rough due date this time and it made me nervous. Finally wrote a short note asking about the timeframe. I just needed to wait one more day as she was then shipped. So about 3 days she should be here. That is if I don't have delivery problems again right here in Milwaukee. Seems they drop notes in the morning and don't ring the doorbell. I hate driving to the PO for the doll and waiting over nite or worse, over a weekend. So this time I'm on watch. I won't leave my house for 3 days for sure--tick tick tick.

Does anyone know where I can get extra S-hooks for extra high heeled feet? This is for a different doll that didn't send an extra hook for the feet. I went to 6 stores and those hardware store hooks are too big/too short. MOC is out. Help on that. Seems simple but not.

 

Cosmos does have the cutest nose Me personally, I think I need a character in mind to "keep" a doll. I've had other dolls before and re-homed them, but I think (and I realize this after buying Tristan) if I don't have a character, I dont know who my doll is and have a difficult time bonding with them. But that is just me, having a doll you love around and close to you can give you ideas for a character To each their own!

My Selmy is doing good! I haven't told him Tristan is being re-homed; I'm just going to wait till she gets sold (hopefully around the same time I get girl-Bella and Shaia). I got Selmy some new clothes, just in case she gets re-homed sooner. He should be happy

Hmm, I haven't thought about that, but I think Shaia would do Kpop/ hiphop and classical! My Shaia -whose name I'm still finding- has a crush on Selmy and he wants to impress him with his moves He is a total flirt and a bit of a brat. He is the Fairy of Dance. And girl Bella is the Fairy of Space-Time. She and Shaia were war buddies in a 1000 year Fairy War on Mars. Because of the war, they are good friends and have a history. I'll have a full back story setup in the Peakswoods Database later!

Can't help you about the S-hooks (I don't know of any local places). Perhaps you should look into a Group Order if you can't find a store locally. Maybe you can join a group order for Luts or Dollmore?

 

Yay - I'm excited for you! I can't wait to see your pictures. I really wanted her but had to go for the suntan Vamp Goldie I'd been pining for for years. I hope they will give us another chance someday.

 

I'm thinking tomorrow will be delivery day on my doll. I just checked the EMS shipping and it's in the USA. Yippie! It cleared customs in Chicago yesterday (Saturday) so thinking skip today and delivery on Monday. I'll be glued to the front door with binoculars! I've already had a DHL delivery guy call me from the parking lot with a doll. I'm in a condo and he got confused, so I walked down to our loading zone to meet him. Deliveries can be strange around here. Patience is a virtue of which I have none :/ I'm sewing plain white unders for all my girls today, seems that deserve to be completely "covered" and decent. This year I've received four SD size BJDs. I'm so b-a-d. But I think this will hold me for awhile. The good thing is they can pretty much share everything. I'm also working on getting ready some non-BJD dolls to sell on eBay over the holiday. Then I don't feel so guilty getting more. I like my doll hoarding to be organized

 

DDE has some of their large (3/4", same size as the PW hooks) in stock right now.


I'm currently waiting on some new clothes and shoes for Dahlia, my Elf Tristan. The poor girl really only has the one outfit that's "hers" so I haven't been taking pics of her because they all look the same to me. ^^; I also really need to restring her again because the last time I had to unstring her I know I didn't restring her properly but the string was so tight I didn't even mess with the holes in her pelvis. Is there a good guide for these girls? I was so flustered I wasn't really paying attention when I pulled her apart.

CathieMilwaukee - OMG! Congrats on your Rogita the Witch shipping & soon to be arrival!! How exciting, I'll admit I've been really looking forward to her arrival and pictures myself, she is such a dramatic and amazing version of Rogita.

krystina - I'm sure Selmy won't mind Tristan's departure as he will have lots of company soon! Hip hop and classical combined reminds me of the movie Save the Last Dance, Shaia sounds so awesome & I can't wait to see hiiiiim! As for me, I guess the character of my dolls are fluid in my mind as I can always change the eye color, haircut and color, face up, and the style of clothing - so if one personality doesn't fit I can evolve them. I love all your amazingly creative ideas though, makes me think I should create a detailed back story for Sally and Lloyd, all I know is that they are twin siblings and have certain tendencies, like Sally is easygoing and Lloyd can be uptight.

I'll be going out of the country for vacation this week, so I might not post much here but I look forward to reading everyone's posts when I return! If we have good internet there I might check in during the evening, till then!

 

Hi just dropping by to say that I love the doll spam! I have Rogita on layaway and I'm hoping to see Dandy released in blue grey and lavender pink skins, I will surely get them in the future.

 

SAD news here. I just received my Rogita Witch. I am sick. She is soooo beautiful but the upper lip red paint chipped right off. I just sent photos to PeaksWoods for advice. Have no clue what to do at this point. I'm sure they will be wonderful about that....not great news for them either. The lips apparently weren't dry enough to ship even with the plastic face guard. Boy, this blew my day but I'm sure it'll be fix and all will be well. Just not the outcome I expected. Their workmanship is sooo gorgeous.

 

Oh noooo! ;___; Knowing Peak's Woods' reputation, they will probably offer to paint it again, though they might still charge you for it, like with the marbled sealant case. Alternatively, you could find someone local to touch up the lip for you and re-gloss it instead of having to send it all the way back to Peak's Woods.

Incidentally, a few weeks ago I had started prepping all my blank faces for painting... I had to re-spray some of them over a couple of days because they kept getting dust in them. Then summer came around and now every day is stormy, humid, soggy mess! I probably won't be able to paint or spray until fall...

 

She's GORGEOUS! But I have another doll on layaway and can't afford her right now.

 

@faireva: O yes, please tell us more about your Lloyd and Sally's backstory! I can picture their personalities are quite the opposite; but seem to get along real well

@Cathie: Wow, that is a real bummer. I know I would be very upset- especially since you waited so long and paid a lot of money for this doll. Peakswoods should replace the faceup free since they shipped your doll too early. Hopefully they can work something out with you.

 

I'm back with an update regarding my damaged Rogita head. I knew that PW was a great company and I do absolutely love their work BUT I was sooo nervous waiting for their response. My email to them bounced and this morning I got the answer on the Q&A board. I am to send the head back and not to worry. That in itself was HUGE. I'm a nervous mother in regards to my dolls, especially this one. She is so gorgeous that I'm just sick sending her back. Next step is to pack it up and get her to the post office. I'm not sure how to send her but think they will help. The other problem was the extra hands. I ordered them in red nails to match and they are not red but more of a dark coral. So this really got messed up. Things could be way worse so I'm relieved that she will be mended and home eventually. Rather this than personal medical problems I'd say. Just letting you know the outcome to date.

 

How lovely! It does seem a bit frustrating that the painting just didn't turn out the way you expected... I'm sure you can work out a solution, though! I would tend to think that blushing and painting the nail parts is not as fiddly as reworking a faceup, but either way I'm sure they'll seal her extra well this time to make up for the makeup debacle, hehe. I would suggest instead of sending the whole doll that you just remove the head and hands and send those back in a small (but well-padded!) parcel box. That way you won't have to pay a bunch for the weight of the entire doll.

 

Welp, working on almost four months for my Rogita. I hope she gets here soon. I know they got swamped with farewell event orders, so I'm not surprised it's taking a while. Though I finally do have a character in mind for her.

 

I paid off my layaway the other day! Now to wait maybe 16 weeks for my lovelies... @___@

Nice to hear a lot of you paying off your layaways! I complete my Shaia layaway tomorrow, but still have a ways to go on my tan AB Bella. I'm hoping to pay her off before the next set of Dandys make their debut

 

I still have yet to pay off my dandy tristan u_u;; I hope they tease the new dandys before the ordering period is up for the FOBs because it's going to be a decision between the two I think by the end of the month. I'm tempted to ask them if they will tease us before August xD

 

I'm kind of excited about the Dandies and also kinda nervous... I would LOVE to buy more dolls but I don't want to HAVE to at least until after Christmas... you know?

 

i'm sure christmas will bring lots more events from everyone... and that's the thing...every month there is always -something- from someone... it's hard to be satisfied with just what you have xD

I'm pretty sure they'll bring it back for other releases. They've gotten so much positive feedback for the lavender pink skin color, so I'm sure they'll make other dolls in it. I still hope for a FoC in it XD

 

Good news for me today. I heard from Peak's Woods that my Rogita head had arrived. They fixed the lips and are sending her home on Friday. They didn't have to redo the entire face, I was hoping. Very nerve wracking as they never get my emails...they bounce. I can only communicate thru the Q&A Board. Thank God for that! It takes awhile to get a response. So I am relieved that she's mended. I shipped the box USPS first class mail but the tracking only worked for Customs, so I couldn't follow the delivery. They refunded that shipping cost to my PayPal account the next day. I was surprised, they are very efficient. So all is well and I'm already waiting for what is in store for the rest of the year.

Hunky Dory is starting to grow on me from these photos! I guess it's good for my bank account that the FoC event is over, though.

I wasn't all too crazy about her at first, but she is growing on me too! I wonder if they will make her into a Dandy in July (I had heard Peakswoods has plans to release her as a boy but don't know when). I personally would love a Dlight boy!

while i got delayed more and more to ship him out i saw that his faceup just got worse and worse , so almost his full rigth side was full of marbling o_O

 

*in regards for posting flickr links* Your welcome everyone I can't stop looking at the Dandy- the more I look at the second one the more I'm convinced is not Bella. The lips are different- I think it kind of looks like Dlight (Wake-up Dlight). The eyes don't look like Bellas either- they're a little more droopy and this one is a little more open. What do you guys think?

I'm super excited about next month (why can't it be here already ) - I really should slow down - I got two Peakswoods last year; two this year and now I'm planning on another one. I really wanted to keep my collection small but I don't think that's going to happen at this rate.

@daepus: I'm sorry to hear about your Tristan's faceup; I knew you had showed us some pictures of the marbling before but it sucks it hasn't stopped. Hopefully Peakswoods will resolve this issue for you fast (and hopefully, no one else had experienced this too!).

 

Imho I don't see Dlight in that dandy I'm afraid. The lips are not pointy enough. If he is not Bella, then he must be a new guy. Bella is the closest one, but still there seems to be something different about the face.

 

I thought it was a Bella, the dandy... it looks like Bella to me, just with a different faceup than we're used to seeing, it's very nude/minimal, but it's a cool look, definitely fits with the look in a whole, I would love the outfit and if they offers those outfits with the next release of boys... argh, must have!

Thinking about it before, there's no other dandy I really want other than a Segi, and thinking about who would be the new line of boys of what girl sculpts exist, I think I would probably be tempted by a Dlight, but imo, a majority of the sculpts are just too feminine to pull off being boys and I'd love to see some new sculpts as boys. I don't need more temptation though... i still need to pay off my dandy tristan and i'm waiting on my vamp tristan... and dde has vamp and elf tristans in stock!!! I was having a fit over the tristan elf because I super want one xD but she's in normal skin and I really want a white tristan elf with her default faceup... I think I will never be able to come across one since white skin isn't so popular... I will just have to wait for the basic girls to come back and get human tris.
