Well, it would maybe not really help them if they did a 1+1 event XD then they would have to make twice as many dolls and that would make the waiting time much longer I suppose XD
So yeah, me too, I also hope to see new limited dollies.
In fact I'm really excited for the new ideas from PW ^^

 

So I asked them some questions about basics, and they said that yeah there is a chance some basics might come back as LEs...but it's not guaranteed. So I don't know what to do T_T I really kinda want Cosmo but I'm not sure I'm willing to take the chance for him to maybe be rereleased as a limited one day in the future...argh. I wanna see the girl event but not miss out on him...and why can't I be a millionaire? ! *pouts*

Oh and also guys! I asked about the points! And PW said they're basically currency and 20$ = 20points basically and we can use them for shopping so that's fab~

Yeah, I get your concern. :/ I don't think Cosmo was that popular, so idk if they will do him as limited later. But they might. But I think he will be hard to find on the marketplace if they won't release him again :/

I know Kurisu, it's awful. I've only seen 1 or 2 on DoA at all, so I think you're right and he wasn't as popular as the other guys (funny enough, I liked him best from the original release, even better than Bella...but Bella hypnotised me as Madhatter lol)

Maybe you could get him on a long layaway?
I hope you are able to get him. It wouldn't be fun if you'll regret it if you can't :/

 

Yeah I'm considering that. I mean it's not even all in the finances. It's just that I had other plans lol (and I really wanted a vampire couple next...and he basically has no place planned yet hrmmm) but I adore his face and I always planned to get him eventually. I just don't like that my plans are being all messed up XD
Also going into Layaway with him I'm so scared to see something I like in the girl sale...and I was so happy to have finished all my layaways so going into 1 or potentially 2 again makes me anxious lol oh the dolly dilemmas...
What are your plans Kurisu? Anyone you're planning on?

 

If you want him, maybe you could just start buying the head? That way it's not as expensive, and the body will definitely be sold, if not as a regular, then while they have the limited up? Maybe you could ask PW if they will sell the boy body desperately sometimes as well. Then you won't have to stress that much over it. just an idea.
Hmm...well, I do love the basic Alice, but I have no plans for her. I might actually wait and see if they release some more mature-ish stuff. I'm currently saving for a Ringdoll Lucifer as the boyfriend for my incoming tan Dlight
But PW can probably find a way to mess with my plans as well XD I'm a sucker for the PW limiteds ^^"
But I do hope PW will not release any I-need-this-in-my-life dolls before summer at the earliest. I'd hoped to buy a doll from them in person if they'd be going to LDoll in France, but LDoll will not be held this year, so now idk XD
Plans are there to be messed with I suppose...my experience says so at least XD
But now we can save lots for LDoll 2016 ;P

 

I see what you mean hmmm. But no, I can't >_<; I don't do well with floating heads. It's very important for me to bond with my dolls asap after their arrival otherwise I lose interest and have to sell them... so I'd be worried to not like him anymore lol
I think I'll just have to sit down and think hard for a place for him and a character he'd fit. 2 weeks to figure it out (but dam if they bring out a LE girl I fall for I am doomed...)

Lol I know. It's just I'd like to have no layaways or planned doll expenses for once in my life XD but there's always something...vicious circle.

And aww yeah I was hopig we could hang out with our Dlights and see PW and stuff I hope I can go in 2016 as I was kinda planning to move countries in the next couple of years hmm. Oh well my parents still live in France so I'll do my best to be there (with my 10 LEs as you say :P)

Yeah I really need to get a grip with the dolls as PW has made my dollie family grow so much lol getting crowded.

I don't like the UK...moved here only by necessity as the bf is a brit -_- but I moved a lot already. Lived a long time in FR and Germany too...kinda done with Europe. Not sure what my plans are exactly but only know I need a change of scenery. Just thinking of travelling with all these SDs freaks me out lol that's why I kinda just wanna be done already XD don't need another 10kg of resin but they just keep popping up. PW will be the death of me. But I have no willpower. *goes to stare at Cosmo some more*

I see. I know the feeling of wanting a change of scenery. I live in the capital city of DK because I was born and raised in the country site, and everyone knew you and all that, so I wanted the freedom of a new place. XD

Well I am glad I am not the only one who is torn over the new LE Dandy boys. I am in love with the Dandy Lavin, but I did not plan to get another boy for a while. It is so tempting to just arrange a long layaway, but I will try to hold out until I see the FOC & AB event. When I think about my doll family, it is the girls I usually want the most and they fit in with my overall plan. The Wickedland dolls were a surprise, but I had to get the two so they could be together with their own theme.


I finally had a few minutes to take a picture of Alice. I cannot even express how thrilled I am with White Rabbit & Alice. The face-ups and the clothing are all perfect. I am so happy about them!

Does PeaksWoods only offer tan and grey-blue skin colour with Limited Editions or those certain sculpts they released in tan/grey but are now sold out, or do you think they will have the options for these colours for the upcoming events, even just for heads alone and basics?
Im quite new to PeaksWoods so im not sure if these colours are limited to limiteds :P

 

Usually the special colors are limited to the LEs.

Omg, Beth L, seriously you're dolls are always amazing. To tell you the truth, I wasn't sure I'd like the blue skin, but it looks very subtle yet striking. I'm so curious to see what they do with the Alice face up on my Suntan girl, your Tristan's face up is so very pretty.

Veloriumxcamper, those eyes fit her very well! I want all the Tristans! Haha!

Anyone here planning on getting one of the Divine Destiny boys? I'm probably-most-likely going to get Shaia with the faceup. He is just so dreamy looking and peakswoods faceups are soo sparkly! I'm thinking of getting tan Briana too; but I have a feeling this girl event is going to be epic. I kind of wish Peakswoods would do a sneak peak before the boy pre-orders are over so that I can plan accordingly lol

 

I was debating Shaia, cos I love him in that tan skin.... but... I'm sticking to Tristan, and waiting to see what they do with the girls... I have a feeling it's going to be epic too xD

 

Im so nervous about the girls event... I wish it wasn't coming up so soon so I could prepare better beforehand
The boys also look really awesome, Im love Dandy Briana's look but Im going to have to hold out for the girl FOC event. Ah its going to be so hard! Luckily they have layaway though, actually what is their max layaway length?

 

PeaksWoods just said they have one more change:

"FOC Lolita body and FOC Dandy body will stay on sale on our website.
And FOC Dandy body price will change from $510 to $490."

That sounds good to me since I will be probably be getting heads during these events then the bodies later
That price drop is also great too

 

I've been trying to avoid the Dandy line for a while, since Tristan came out really…but Lottie as a boy…I just love him for some reason, even though he looks kinda derpy >,<…well probably for that reason actually since I love the derpy dolls oddly. I don't collect girl dolls though PWs has such beautiful ones, but I am glad to not have another thing to worry about collecting from them! I told myself no more dolls for a while, and I have been good…but maybe a long layaway wouldn't hurt…right? Good luck to all of you who want the girls too lol.

For the Devine Destiny boys, I was really tempted by Briana but I think I'll pass as with them retiring the Basics I am like 99% sure now that I'll crack and get Cosmo
And I do hope they'll show a preview of the girl event so that we can all plan accordingly part of me hopes I won't be interested, but I also really want another girl...

Just fell in love so hard with those two sculpts *cries If it's true that they allow a layaway for more than 3 months I might get 1 body and two heads... *sobs

With regards to PW and layaway -they let it be totally up to you to decide how many installments you want to do. ^^
They only start making the dolls after the last payment anyway.
I've had layaways for 4 installments and 6 installments and even asked for one for 12 installments. So it's really up to you
At least for now. I hope they keep it that way. ^^

 

Oh that sounds great about the layaway!
Though since they are getting rid of the basic molds, if we say have a 6 month layaway and they only start making it that 6th month, they'll obviously have to keep the molds still for quite a while so maybe they have a restriction this time? Hopefully not, though Im going to ask them anyway just in case.

 

I doubt they will put a restriction if they offer layaway at all. I have my vampire Tristan on layaway and obviously they aren't going to not make her for me I wouldn't worry about it. I'm know they are expecting a lot of layaways right now with the discontinuation of basics so they know they have to keep the molds around long enough to get through them.

 

Okay that sounds good then Haha, sometimes I get a little worried about these things :P
I really hope for the girl FOC event they have some tans like 'Suntan Shaia'. I know she was from a while back but since shes a basic hopefully they offer her in tan again for the last time

Some of the heads I feel like I prefer the Dandy versions of them even with those slight modifications, but since they have different neck sizes im not sure if they would work on the girl bodies... Has anyone tried this?

 

I'm sure they will definitely have different skin tones, but it will be interesting to see what they will do since there are far more girls than boys. I'd love to get a girl in the blue-gray since it's so much lighter than gray. I still want a white Tristan girl though too haha. Yes... I will have a Tristan army. I would like to get a Goldie again sometime too, I just don't know what I'd do with her character-wise. I wonder if the girls will get limited sets or just faceups like the boys this time around.

I haven't tried it, but.. I had mentioned to PW that I wanted to get the human tristan head (when only the dandy was available) to go with my vamp tristan as an alternate head and they told me it wouldn't work. In browsing pics though, I saw a PW girl head on a sd boy body.. looked liked a Volks sd10 body.. so I wonder how hard it would be to hybrid the boy body to maybe a larger girl body

 

I love the blue-grey skin tone too Hopefully one day I can find a LE Dlight in blue-grey on the market since I just love that sculpt with that skin.
Haha it can be so hard to choose between skin tones on your favourite sculpt, especially in such circumstances as these
Since there is many more girls they might just do faceups only, but who knows maybe they'll have one or two limited sets to get more of a 'hype'.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind I asked them about it but I haven't gotten a reply yet. I've never seen a peakswoods hybrid before so i'll have a look around. It'll probably be something I'll do in the future though, so hopefully I'll find those dandy heads on the market then.

 

Ugh! If they offer a blue-gray Dlight I might have to cave! I was trying to be good and only order one doll this year since I went a little nuts last year when I first joined the hobby. I already have so many dolls! Why, Peak's Woods? Why? I already have a NS Tristan on the way! Maybe they won't offer Dlight since she was offered in the Christmas event. Good thing I was broke at the time! Did anybody order her in blue-gray skin?

 

I don't want to think about LE's since I just got Tristan. But now I need to think about which ones I want from the soon to be discontinued basics....I blame Alington for introducing me to Peaks Woods....yep, that's right, it's other peoples fault, not my own.....

PW only have one designer, so that is why they do not offer full sets like other companies. If they offer full sets it's because they have a collaboration with another company. So they'll only be able to offer full sets that way.

 

Was Dlight ever offered in blue grey? I thought she was only in normal grey and diamond grey.
And I asked once if the Dandy heads fit on Lolita or AB bodies and it was a no no but they might fit on other girl bodies maybe?
And I wonder about Dandy clothing too. They seem very skinny indeed...I've no idea what to buy them x_x

 

Yes, Dlight was offered in blue-grey back in December in stead of grey and diamond grey. ^^
But I don't think they are going to release Dlight again so soon.

Yeah, I asked them if LE Dlight was ever coming back and they said, "We have everything planned for 2015 except for one spot and maybe she can fit in there but really not so sure now. We will try our BEST for YOU though~!".
They are such a nice company Im not too worried about her coming back this year anyway, I would actually prefer if it was next year haha because of this big event will be taking most of my money ;P

So my Tristan was a hit at Katsucon yesterday. Everyone loved her. I'm so happy I have her, haha. Can't wait to get her a face.

And she finally has her outfit. Super happy with that as well.

 

I took a couple of pictures (in daylight) that I combined into one image to show a comparison of the Grey, Diamond-grey & Blue-grey Peak's Woods skintones if anyone is interested to see a side by side comparison. The grey skintone is the darkest of the three. The Diamond-grey & Blue grey are not too different, actually. The blue is very subtle, but is slightly noticeable next to the Diamond-grey. I thought they would be much different. I noticed the difference in the faces more than any other area.

 

Oh wow!! thanks so much for the comparisons! I think I actually would have liked my Tristan more in diamond gray xD but it's all good... the diamond and blue do look pretty similar, except a faint blue in the blue-gray obvious.. interesting to see all together.

Thanks for the comparison! Even though diamond-grey and blue-grey are quite similar I prefer the blue-grey as I love that blueish tinge to it, especially in different lighting
