Hmm... They told me they weren't going to do any limiteds when they brought back the dandys this month but that boy looks tan, meaning they just may, yeah?

 

It would surprise me if they made a tan doll that isn't limited. :O
Maybe KyungMin recovered quicker than expected, and they didn't dare promise anything? But we'll know next week I'm sure

 

I must have him! He is so lovely! I wonder what an "Angelus_Dandy" is? Maybe he will be on a different body?

 

I would be surprised if they had time to finish a different boy body and not the FoB body? Haha but great if you are planning to get him krystina
I think Angelus might be a line of limited like the Alice in Wickedland. If they have more dolls in that line, they'll probably show teasers tomorrow ^^

 

Perhaps xD though it was just last week they told me this? Days ago maybe? Lol. Either way, exciting. I still want Tristan tho. I really only planned on getting two dolls this year, but both companies those dolls are from are dangling temptation in front of me for more

 

Ahh my Tristan will be here on monday! I went to FFD and got her A wig and some eyes, so she won't be completely naked. I'm excited.

Seriously doing a happy dance. I didn't think she would get here so quick.

 

Oooo maybe you're right about the limited line But then....so possibly more dolls are yet to be teased?!!?!!

I just read on Peak's Woods FB page that the Angelus Dandy along "with his friends" will be released on February 15th. This seems to allude to other limited dolls being released, or perhaps a limited doll to coincide with a re-release of the basic FOC Dandies.

Velouriumxcamper, I think grey is a cool neutral color that goes along with most colors well so you should still have a variety of styles to choose.

I'm glad that Kyungmin seems to have made a full recovery.

 

Feb 15th? bwaahhh... and of course Fairyland's event starts Feb 14th with new F65s... I will have to figure something out xD Tristan boy and F65 boy are my two main wants right now lol

I'm in love.

It will be perfect for transporting my new dolls. My older dolls are an MSD and a tiny, so it was easy to transport them. But with two SD's on the way, and the meetup at Katsucon this weekend, I needed a better way to transport them. This will be perfect. It has little pockets and storage spots for everything too!

Man, gone for one weekend and PW announces their new series aaah. Dandy Shaia and Lavin are gorgeous. I can't wait to see more pictures.
Also Lavin looks grey, so yay for color choices I wonder who else will be in this divine series.

I don't think it's an auction. I think they just didn't have a page yet so they left the Dlight one. But it looks more like a series, like the wickedland one. I'm mostly wondering if it's only boys or if there'll be a girl too...

 

i just saw Shaia... oh god...i migth just be screwed this time too :I their tan is beautiful after all..well..all their skin tones and dollies are beautiful..i guess ill have to keep my eyes open xD

I wrote to Peakswood a few days ago asking if they had any plans on releasing hand parts for the boys and requested if they can make Shaia and Lavin into Dandys:

I would so love to get hand parts! I suggested bunny ears, fists, and trigger finger. Peakswoods is my fave company

 

omigod *o* a pw sculpt with trigger hands and bunny ears...now...thats giving me ideas of badass chars XD hopefully they'll come up with a concept for it ^^

Also...from the looks it's some kind of good vs evil series? Angels, Priest and Exorcist? Can we hope for a Demon/Vampire? *crosses fingers and toes*

 

Shaia is beautiful...lol I kind of love Lottie, it's the sort of goofy face that really would grown on me.
They are the perfect Bishi boys.

 

hnnnngggghhhh ommmgggg... they are SO gorgeous!!! like my dream come true! lol. On the site, I didn't care much for the Alice faceup, but it looks SO good. Congrats on getting them both! I'm just so much more hyped to get mine now

I don't know if I'm completely sold on the new limiteds though. I love all their makeups, but I do wish they would come up with new boy sculpts aside from the girls, because looking them over, I just see the girls (like.. it's hard for me to see them as boys). I think Shaia probably pulled off the boy best. I was hoping they would include the other boys in this... I think I will still get Tristan, but it would be nice to have the limited options :\ and no outfits I guess? Do you think there is anymore to reveal since we're still like 5 days or away, or is this it? (not that I'm complaining, just curious if there is more to look forward to )

 

I'm hoping there is more >\\\< and I'm excited to see what color options will be available for them all as well as fullsets...
But I see what you mean wanting new sculpts. It'd be nice to see something new but I guess their girls are so versatile they pull off boys very well
Right now I'm drooling all over Briana, who as a girl was too sweet looking for me...but comes off great as a boy.

 

Yeah, I wonder.. if the fullsets get the tan and blue-gray skin choices, will the basics get something? I'm a little surprised in this theme, they did not offer clothing sets to complete the look, because then it seems a little pointless to give them a theme if it's just the boys with special faceups haha. But... I have to say again, I love the faceups! Minus the freckles for me. I want to ask for Tristan with a similar faceup, but I dunno if it will fit the character I have in mind for him. I do love Briana's over all look. I'm not sure what to think of Lavin, I think the eyes are throwing me off because they are light and look like they should be maybe a size bigger. Lavin and Briana both make very young looking guys though. I think they would look cute with a Bella boy.

 

I am excited to see the new Dandy boy offering! I love two of the boys they have shown so far. Very tempting!


I am completely in love with my White Rabbit. I am just going to name him Rabbit because I plan to keep him the Alice in Wickedland character.

Decent picture of my Tristan! I forgot to buy some eye putty from FFD when I bought the wig and eyes, so I'll have to wait until Saturday for that. But she's gorgeous anyway. Now to think of a name.

Yeah I totally understand what you mean. Hmm it's an interesting business decision but it'd be nice to have faster processing times and shipping sooner etc.
I'm curious to see what the event will be for AB and FOCs... there's so many dolls I kinda had my eye on for the future lol this might mess up my plans...

 

I can't help thinking this is a bad move for Peak's Wood. To not offer any basic SD dolls and keep it to limiteds only? That doesn't seem a good business idea at all?

 

well.. after thinkin about it a bit...its just that you wont be able to buy a full doll from the basic-line sculpts, but have to buy a body and head separately :3 that is..if the body comes up for sale (its been sold-out for a long time now?)

Well, if you look at it, the price for a striped down LE is the about the same as a basic. And if you judge by the layaway pages, the majority of the sales are for limiteds. It doesn't seem that people are taking advantage of the vast array of products on the whole, mostly buying limiteds. Add to that all the complaining about wait times, and I think Peakswoods is just trying to make things manageable.
It makes me want to get my Viyol though, as I am afraid she's not popular and will never come back as a limited.

 

I don't think it's a bad idea to be honest. As Stella pointed out, there doesn't seem to be a huge demand for the basics really as the big order waves seem to be during special releases.
It makes sense to concentrate on series so as to not keep a horde of molds just in case one gets ordered once.
I also think that their aesthetics changed and they might want to concentrate on newer sculpts etc, I mean I don't think they've taken this decision lightly.

Viyol is very cute I'm curious to see what type of event it'll be for the FOCs, maybe something like xx% off or 1+1 sale? I guess they'll want to sell a lot before they retire them.

 

Reading the news this morning, I was sad, but it totally made sense to me. I think it's a smart move, for any of the companies really. These days it seems that a lot of people wait for the events and snatch up the limiteds from companies and really, I know for me, there are a lot of basics I want but when a company does their event and releases limited dolls, it always screws up my plans xD So rather than having a bunch of basics sit around, it's better to release them for limited periods. There's already companies that do this... I kinda wish Fairyland would do this. I don't think there is anything bad about it, other than you'll have to wait a little while to get the one you want. But with all that being said, I wonder what they plan to do about release times after this. If they will have monthly preorders, or just limited sculpt events every couple months... I dunno.

This does just make me wonder what I should do... I don't want a million layaways with them, but there are one or two basics I planned for in the future... do I go and ahead and try to layaway them now or just wait and see when they will be released again? ~_~ I wanted a basic ws Tristan and a Goldie... (dandy tristan is definitely being ordered this time around xD)

I admit on the limiteds now I'm a little torn! Though I'm wishy washy on Lavin, when the female Lavin was first released by PW, I had really wanted her at the time and never got her, and when the dandy was announced, I was hyped to see.. but I dunno... I love Briana's look, and even Shaia I'm warming up to more because man that tan look is awesome... but... I have no character for these boys xD I said I must stick to characters to control the impulsive buy of pretty dolls... gahhh!

I'm sorry to hear Peakswoods has made such a move, but if this is what they want and it helps them out some, I support them 100%!
Also, has Peakswoods ever done a 1+1 event?

PW did the Christmas event last year with doll + head. It's not the same, but almost
But I do not believe they will do such an event. I believe they will release new girls actually. Or give bigger discounts or something.

 

Ah yeah I meant the +1 head event like in 2013.
Hmm news girls would definitely interest me more than a discount tbh as I'm not sure I can fit any other unplanned girls in my buying plans for this year. But who knows...I keep going back and looking at all the standards over and over just in case one suddenly calls to me more than the others.
