I'd also made the jump by the way to welcome my sixth SD girl from PW. Yes, just placed an order on normal skin Dlight with AB Femme body. Heh~! With this, my PW SD collection is officially bigger than my DOD SD collection.

Did you get her with face-up? I got mine without to shorten the waiting time and because it wasn't 100% what I had in mind...

 

Yup. Requested for lighter eye shadow too.

As for comparison, you could refer to the photo I posted a few days back. Just gonna quote myself and repost it here:

In the picture, sleeping cue (left most) and Brianna (center) are on FOC Lolita body, while wake-up Lottie, wake-up Goldie and Lavin are all AB Femme bodies. Much prefer the AB Femme body to be honest. Told PW as much during my visit to Korea. The sculptor told me that she based the AB femme body is meant to be a little bit unreal, anime inspired proportion.

So yes, I am quite firm that Dlight, who look a little out of reality anyway, to be more well suited on AB Femme body.

 

Ah for me it was more the lips, too mature.
Oh I mostly meant comparing the Dlight heads like skincolor and face up etc.
And your girls are beautiful!! I like so many of PWs girls, but I just don't have enough space @_@ I do hope I'll be able to get another one home one day.
I gotta say I don't like the AB body too much, it's fine dressed but I don't like the stomach area, something about it bugs me...I do wish Lolita bodies had bigger boobs tho :P but I like the Lolita lines more. (also I was set on suntan or diamond so AB wasn't even an option ><)

 

Congratulations to the both of you I think she's lovely although I'm less keen on her lip colour, I wish the faceup was 'softer'. Dlight reminds me of my Dorothy, but all grown up.

 

Thanks but yeah that's exactly my point, the lips are beautiful but the color was too mature for me. I will send mine off for commission and I wanted something pinker and softer haha. I always thought most PW dolls had an air of family about them.

 

Kayjay: Thanks! I don't have any experience with the smaller PW dolls, so they kinda look similar to me. :P
Dlight and WU Dlight does quite similar to Goldie and WU Goldie though. Definitely need to ask them what's the inspiration behind Dlight in future.

As for the face-up, I did request for a light shade of eye-shadow. I had no issues with the red-rosy lips though. I believe they would look lovely on normal skin.
And besides, I'm not planning for Dlight to be on the cute and friendly side (another reason why I went with AB Femme body). There's Brianna and Lavin for that. Not to mention the unpainted Cue head still sitting in my drawer.

Hmm it's one of the reasons I went for Dlight actually, because she was similar to Goldie (who was gonna be my SD girl) but Dlight had the skin options, so I had to get her (also, limited time, I didn't wanna miss her)
Ideally I'd like to get Goldie too one day...and Mintie...and Brianna...arg. They're probs my favourite company right now, overall mold wise.

And your girl is beautiful!

Kawachu - I did indeed order one of each - WU Dlight in Diamond Grey with the sparkly eyes, and OE Dlight in Suntan (both with extra hands and heel parts) ^^
I think Dlight is the pretties sculpt PW has made so far, so I'm really looking forward to have them in my hands - those skin tones...

Thank you! Yes, it's a wonderful feeling! Many of the other photos were very good, so I'm honored that they liked mine so much. I've never won anything before, and I'm so happy! I can't wait to get my DLight, too!

 

My mom's A.B. Rogita and my Dandy Bella boy. I got my mom her Rogita last year and I just had to get one ever since! (Actually, I've wanted a Peakswood ever since I saw them on the Luts website so many years ago but could never decide on which one!) He doesn't have a name yet (I've been calling him Dandy) and I don't have his clothes either, so he's borrowing some girl stuff right now.

I agree! At first I thought his legs looked kind of strange, but I fell in love with them (lol weird krystina). They definitely have a nice shape to them. I wish my legs could look that long when I wear a skirt lol.

Wow, thanks for sharing pics of your Segi girl. It's good to know that she has started to ship. I have her on order too, through DDE. I cannot wait for her arrival as she will be my very first SD size doll My daughter thinks she looks like Anna from Frozen which is why i wanted to buy her. I ordered her nude so i guess i better start looking for an outfit. Have nothing in SD size.

 

Oooh--fantastic, animedolls! That's great. I had a Peak's Woods as my first large doll, too--my first ABJD, in fact. It's a great way to go. I think you won't be disappointed. (They fit DollHeart clothing perfectly, if you want to spend a whole lot of cash on an outfit!)

And thanks, Kurisu. The same woman did both of their face-ups, I think. I believe her name is Nornan--but I'm not positive. She also has been doing some work for her own company--BNB Doll.

And eek! I just saw that periwinklestars won the photo contest!! That's awesome. Congratulations!! That's terrific!

 

I think their new faceup artist does such a good job to show how awesome these dolls are. They just look SO stunning with her faceups
But I also think the new stuff PW has come up with over the past year has been really amazing. The lolita body, the new skin tones and the boys - so many new things ^^

Does anyone have any know? It would give me some idea of how long I have to save.

 

Well I can only base this on the last 2 dolls release.
Tristan was released Jan/Feb and Dlight in August...so around 6 months?
But in any case, I'd say if you see one you like, just get the layaway. PW are incredibly accommodating (I've seen people do 12 months layaway for a 600$ doll).
That way you don't have to miss it if they suddenly release one you really love

 

Thank you Kawachu, at least now I don't have to haunt their site! It's also good to know about their layaway.

 

Yeah I think next up should be the FOB new bodies in Dec/Jan.
And yeah you'll see their like the friendliest people ever, I must have asked them a million questions before I ordered and they answered fast and super helpful.
It makes me wanna get more of their dolls tbh.
