I've ordered a Dandy Tristan in white skin. He's gonna be my first SD BJD. So excited >.<

And LOL! I just ordered a Dandy Tristan, normal skin, basic face-up. Took me forEVER to decide which one I wanted, too!

 

Yeah, just ordered FOC LE Segi Twins 'Girl'. She will be my first SD size doll as i don't collect any larger then MSD. I just could not resist. She is so pretty. My daughter thinks she looks like Anna from Frozen I am doing layaway through DDE so it may be awhile. She will be my second Peak's Woods doll. My other is a Lady Alice.

Does anyone know for sure if these Dandy boys are going to still be around after June 30th? I thought they would, since they're described as "basic", but some of the announcements Peaks Wood's has put out makes it seems like they're going to change the sculpts out for the next ordering period. Sorry if this has already been discussed, I just didn't see any answer in the other parts of the thread. I'm dying for Bella the Moon, but I'd really prefer to get him later in the year if I can, so I really hope he'll be sticking around a bit longer.

 

From what I understand, PW means to make boys available only during periods throughout the year and not all the time like their girls.
So they will probably have different limited edition boys each sale period, but the basics will be up for sale for all periods. That is how I understand it. I think it is to even out the pressure of orders throughout the year. So the boys will probably be up in between other events - like new or limited FOFs, FOCs and such.
I think that after this Dandy - period, they will release new FOFs, and after that, they will release new FOCs and then it will be quite interesting to see what sort of winter event they will be having

Peak's Wood do very long layaways, as long as you want really, so you could buy him now and start paying for him. If he won't be available for a while anyway it gives you an option.

 

Kurisu is correct, from my understanding--at least from what Pan told me at the KBJD convention. They won't be adding the boys to the permanent line of dolls, once this ordering period is up, so if you want one, you should order him before the ordering period is up.

That isn't to say we will never see the sculpts again. We will! Just several times per year, I believe. They will be limited editions and make special appearances, from what I understand--at least, that's what they'd decided at the end of April, and they may have changed their minds since then.

If you like the boys a lot--or one sculpt in particular (Bella the Moon Dandy, it looks like)--I'd consider putting him on a long lay-away, too. Peak's Woods has really great and flexible lay-away plans, and they are totally willing to work out a payment plan that works for you. And they are OK with you paying him off early, too.

Just an FYI about the new upcoming FoC Dlight: she will be available in several skin tones, and diamond grey is new:

Diamond-grey is a color of resin. It is like pearl-grey color feels like marble. Blue-grey is a mixture of light blue and light grey, very pale. S-o they are pretty different.

O man, I'm a bit nervous What if I HAVE to have her??!! I don't think my wallet can handle it. If they offer a layaway plan for her, I'm doooomed!

But wow, several different skin tones! The Diamond grey sounds lovely. I wonder what other colors they'll have planned. I'd love a red skin or lavender or a light fairy green color! The possibilities!!!

Also, congrats Kirakukami on getting a Bella; will you be doing his faceup? And congrats alington, which FoF are you getting?

 

I keep checking the Peakswood website (mostly to stare at Dandy Bella ); do they release pictures of their new dolls on FB before their website?

I'll join the discussion as I'm also stalking the PW FB and website to get a glimpse of Dlight...the color choices they announced are so awesome, and thank you Alington for the details about the Diamond Grey, I was hoping it'd turn out to be all pearly shimmery! I cannot wait to see her, as I really really want to get a big girl...I've never had an SD girl (I'm too picky >_<) and I really wish Dlight will be IT for me haha it'll be either her or Goldie for me, but definitely a big lady coming home this year!

 

I'm very excited about the colors as well! Lol I can totally relate to you about having a big girl. I've had a couple SD sized girls but can never keep them (I just never bonded with them). But I got my mom a Peakswood Rogita last year and now I really want a big Peakswood girl. My next doll is definitely going to be a girl from Peakswood.

 

@Krystina: Oh have you already decided on a mold then or are you waiting to see Dlight too? And yeah, SD girl molds just never appealed to me but I've always wanted one (the clothes and shoe choice is just too awesome). And funny, but I got my mum an SD girl too (not PW though) which really makes me want one of my own. Who knows maybe we'll both get diamond shiny D(e)lights

 

I've wanted a Sky for the longest time; but the others girls keep making me change my mind Yeah, I want to wait for Dlight, she might be the "it" girl for me. I'm hoping they'll have the A.B. body as an option for her, if I end up liking her.

 

Anyone want to share Tristan spam? My grey girl is still on layaway and I'd love to see owner pictures in the meantime.

periwinklestars and Hypercurve, here's an image of Tristan at Dollism Plus 9. Someone bought her by the way, cos she was gona by the second day.
In fact, there were on display Vampire Tristan as well (I didn't bother taking any picture), who was gone early afternoon of day one. And apparently Elf Tristan was snatched up the moment that DP9 opened. Didn't get a chance to see Elf Tristan as I was still at the airport at that time...

Have there been any photos anywhere of the new Dlight doll? I'm not on facebook to know and they haven't posted any at the PW mall site yet.

 

No pictures yet of Dlight on FB either, I'm waiting to see her too. I'm thinking they'll probably post some next week closer to release date.

Yup. They are really busy trying to deliver their dandy orders at the moment, and the sculptor/ founder of the company is suffering from wrist issues. Plenty of valid reasons for not rushing out the next new thing. Also, reason why they won't likely to offer one off this year. Although, they did hint on releasing yet another FOC by end of the year...

krystina, the FOC bodies on display there were all Lolita bodies. They also displayed their dandy boys on the other side of their booth, and of course I'm not that interested. I did get a free Tristan dandy boy head though for my purchase.

Seriously....they are making us wait until the on sale date to see Dlight?! Usually they post a teaser a day or two before the on sale day. The suspense is killing me

Maybe PW knows Dlight will be a grail doll to all PW fans?? :O

Peak's Woods just updated their Facebook cover photo with what I assume is Dlight! (well a glimpse of her)

 

Yes!!! She looks amazing! I assume that picture is the "wake up" version?! It is 4:53 a.m. and the first place I checked was the PW website

They did mention 2 face-up options. August 1st cannot come soon enough!!!!!

 

Yup. That's the wake-up version. Open eye version picture will be up tomorrow.

Wonder if there's a choice for ab body instead. Quite weird to imagine Dlight on Lolita body.

Peak's Woods just posted the order site for LE Wake Up Dlight. Looks like it's gonna cost $40 to get the AB Body in stead, and if you choose the AB Body you can only get Dlight in normal or white skin.
The promo pic is gorgeous, but I'm also more interested in the open eyed Dlight.
There is a new tan skintone too I think, the Tropical Tan. Looking forward to see the different skintones - hope they show promos of both the new skintones.

 

Oh yes, once of the reasons I really wanted to see (and like) Dlight is that she had a lot of skin tone options. So far the diamond grey seems lovely, but I'm really curious to see the tans. All my dolls are NS, so I'd really like her to be different. And I guess AB body is out for me. Lolita it is...
Come on open eye version, with those lips she can only be gorgeous! Cannot wait...

 

I don't know why, but Peak's Woods Goldie is always getting my attention. I keep falling for her every time I see her. I hope I can buy her secondhand someday

 

Oh Goldie is a beautiful mold, she's my plan B if Dlight turns out a no-no. And her user pictures are so pretty, I find her quite versatile.

And all the Dlight pics are up on the PW site! Well the wake up ones anyway.

 

And the suntan one too! I'd die happy if I can have a tan Kisha

 

PW just posted the open-eye version of Dlight on their FB page! She's so lovely. Information should be up on their website by tomorrow.

A little disappointed that no clothing options for this lovely. The clothing is one of the highlights in my opinion.

 

Ah yes, I wish the clothes were available too..I'd love her in a Fullset. I can't wait for all the open eyed pics, the teaser is so gorgeous! I'm like 99% sure I will be all over this the sec the sale goes live

Right now, I'm more inclined towards the open-eyed version than the wake-up version. Love those lips, but the dark eye shadow is a bit too formal for my liking...
Anyway, won't know untill the page with all the glorious images are up.

Not considering any other skin-tone than normal. Considering Dlight on AB body though...

 

Hmm for me it's sure not the wake up, I love the open eyed look.
Wake up always looks sad/haughty/sleepy/arrogant etc (not a bad thing, just unfitting for what I have in mind for her)
But I wanna see all the pics to make sure it's her, as I'm looking for my first SD girl, so I want her to be 100% perfect for me.
But oh yeah the lips are amazing! Not sure I'll go for the face-up, as it only 50% suits my needs but yeah need to see more!

Ugh Tropical Tan! So much want! I kind of wish doll companies would let you 'trade up' dolls when new colors are released lol. I don't need a new doll, but I do need tropical tan in my life!

I ordered suntan, after a looong hesitation as diamond skin is gorgeous too, but I've always wanted a suntan girl and PW suntan is such a pretty color *sighs* I wish I could have both XD
But yeah I can't wait to see how she turns out either
