EDIT: Solved, thank you! I'm having trouble processing my order on Dollmore via Paypal. I thought it would be just the same as ordering from the other dollsites, or at least, the ones I've had experience with (iplehouse, LUTS), e.g.: select to pay via Paypal and then as my order would be registered, it would direct me straight to Paypal to finish the transaction. But... no such luck. The website said they would send me an invoice to process the payment through Paypal. HOW? I didn't even provide my Paypal email. My Paypal email and contact email are different for security reasons, so what am I supposed to do now? Nothing was said that the email I had to provide would have to be my Paypal email, so I didn't. Do I send the payment to their given Paypal address and quote my order number in the email and explain the situation, or do I have to cancel my order, replace it and pay with my card?
well, they will send an invoice to your contact address. you just click the "pay now" button, and you will be taken through the paypal process. or..... you can send a payment by yourself..... login to paypal, then select "send money".... fill out the form.... send payment to [email protected]. enter the amount you are sending..... when you get to the next page, at the bottom, make sure to put your name after the "you have a payment", so they know who is sending it..... then, in the commnets box, make sure to enter your order number....... after you send the payment, you can follow up on Dollmore's Q&A board...... just right that you have sent a payment, and give the order number.
There was no 'send money' or 'pay now' button or link after my order was registered. I looked for it, expecting it after my previous orders from other companies. It wasn't on the website or on my emailed auto-receipt. All that came up was a message which read they would send me an invoice on how to PROCEED with the payment, not in hindsight of my payment. I've dealt with PayPal invoices before, I know how they work, and I knew that I wouldn't receive one unless I sent my PayPal email, but I didn't because I wasn't asked to. I've posted a message on their Q&A board, I'm just waiting for a response. I have also linked my contact email with my PayPal email, but I'm worried it might be too late for that route.
I agree with with Miss Ally there u could also just send a question with you're order number in their QA board but make sure u lock it so that only staff can get in and see the order number. I usually just pay via credit card with them and luts because going through paypal can be a pain. But since u were already planning on sending it via paypal just follow Miss Ally's advice. besides Dollmore isreally good about getting back to you.
I've already posted on the Q&A board, just awaiting a response, with my order number and locked. I can't find any Pay Now/Send Payment buttons or links in association with my order anywhere, and I'm worried if I send it through PayPal and quote my order it might get lost? I know how to send payments, that isn't the issue, I'm just worried about payments and orders getting lost in translation and having my money taken twice, or my order being cancelled when I've paid. Thank you for your responses though.
I understand your concerns, but its possible that due to time zone differences, no one at Dollmore has processed your Paypal request yet. I've paid for my past orders using Paypal with no problems, it sometimes just takes a day or two for the email invoice from Dollmore to arrive in my inbox. BTW, I've never had a problem with Dollmore responding to me. If it were me, I'd give them a chance to respond to you on the Q&A Board. Juli DC
Thank you everyone who responded. Luckily I thought to sync my contact email with my PayPal email in time ( I wasn't aware you could do this in the early stages of my panic so-- ^^;; ) After I signed up my contact email as the secondary email.... the good ol' familiar PayPal invoice arrived this morning! So everything is paid for. Yay. Thanks for bearing with me through my panic. XD I think it was high-time I synced those emails to that account, so it gave me a little wake up call.
