PashaPasha Dolls *BrEaTh & PuLsE* discussion

Hi, everyone!

Can anyone who has ordered a Pasha Pasha doll tell me if there is anything special about placing the order? Every doll order I've made so far has accepted PayPal (which is easy) but I've heard of some (Popovy) requiring bank transfers or things like that. I'm hoping that the next preorder (which I believe is for Mini dolls) will be coming in a few months and I want to make sure I understand the process so I won't miss my opportunity.

You're going to need to be online the second they go on sale. They tend to sell out in just a few minutes. I paid via Paypal on a 9 month layaway, no problems.

 

Hi @StellaMarigold, I found ordering from PashaPasha very easy and used paypal, although the dolls are cast by Star Doll in Russia (like Popovy), Pasha Setrova is in New York and so there is no issue with payments. With Popovy, there are complications to sending money with Paypal because various countries have imposed restrictions on movement of funds in and out of Russia. It's not a preference imposed by the Popovy Sisters, and many people find other ways to pay.

 

Thank you @Raesha and @vonbonbon - Yes, I was realizing I would have to be there right away. I'm hoping that the preorder will be at a time when I am able to order!

I'm very happy to hear that you can pay through PayPal! That makes me feel much better, since in that case it is only a matter of it I can get my order in - I know what my exact order would be so I won't be hesitating on that part of it.

Thank you vonbonbon for explaining the Popovy payment system - that makes sense to me, and it wouldn't be a problem if I were ordering one of their dolls since they don't seem to have the same "blink and you miss it" sale windows.

 

@StellaMarigold, no Popovy are fab, you can just email Igor at any time and order whatever you want. Blank dolls are really quick but I think there is quite a long wait time for anything more complicated.... worth the wait though Having said that I hope we hear something about the last Pasha pre-order soon.... I'm not too good at waiting

 

@vonbonbon Oh yes, it makes you wish that all the companies were like that (but I understand that they are not for very good reasons!). I really like the Popovy dolls, too, especially Little Owl and Peewit.

Are you waiting for anything from Pasha's most recent preorder? Or are you, like me, waiting for the next preorder?

I'm dying to know if she's going to offer the new lighter skin color one of her recent minis was cast in (the mini Pulse with the dark hair and the Nigel Chia dress). I feel like I've spent my whole time in this hobby looking for a mature female of that size and super-posable style with very pale skin (I want her to be a redhead).

I'm also really hoping she will include extra hands for the mini dolls in this preorder, since the "resting" hands she makes are so beautiful and remind me of Dollshe's 26F hands. They look so natural. I asked her about it, and she said she hoped she could include them, so we'll see!

 

@StellaMarigold yes, I am waiting for a big Pasha girl from the last preorder but can't even remember the name of the sculpt! It's been a stressful summer and the order date seems to long ago now, almost another lifetime away, hee hee I hope you get your pale redheaded mini girl soon.... with extra hands

 

@vonbonbon Oh, well, then you will be surprised when she arrives! (which I hope is soon).

I have my fingers crossed, so we'll see what happens. Either way, I'll continue to enjoy Pasha's work.

Has anyone got any advice to keep me sane while we wait for the May pre-order to be ready? I' m quietly losing my mind! Patience has never been my strong suit

 

I'm in the same boat as you waiting for my Breath to arrive. I ordered some shoes from Shapeways for her so I'm waiting for those too. I'm usually pretty blasé about waiting for a doll, but for some reason this one has me on pins and needles. I guess no one has gotten theirs yet.

Erika from PashaPasha here to give you an update on your girls. We are just about to hit the 5 month mark of production for your girls. We have gotten word from our caster that new molds were needed this time around in order to make sure all those beautiful details in your girls are preserved. Because of this though, production is a little slower than we're used to and we're only hoping to get first shipments in the next month.

We apologize for the wait - we're pushing our caster as much as we can too! If we do end up going past our 6 month production goal for some of you, we will be sure to include a small gift as a sign of our appreciation for all of you being so patient and understanding.

For now, please try to rest assured that the extra time is being spent on making sure your girls are top quality. Once again I apologize for the wait but I will continue to badger our caster and will write again once we hear about the first shipment of girls!"

It's nice of them to keep us informed, I can reset my mind to think of her as an early Christmas present to myself now

OOOOooooooOOOOO, excitement!!! Email from PashaPasha today to say they are expecting to get the first shipment of the May preorder in Mid-December after the delay because of the new mould casting.... Yay!!!

 

Sorry for the double post, but quite some time has elapsed... I am now despairing that we will get our Pasha Pasha doll this year let alone before Christmas

 

Yes, I’m afraid it doesn’t look like the dolls will be here in time for Christmas.
It’s okay though....I’m patient, because they are worth the wait.

 

@Alfie yes, I'm sure they will be amazing once they get here but this is the reason I rarely pre-order dolls anymore... I worry myself into a frenzy while I'm waiting!

Has the interest in the Pashas dropped? I just pre-ordered a Breath mini and was surprised that I could actually get one.
Since I'm in no hurry, I put her on layaway. Does anyone remember their layaway terms?

Well, there was another Mini order not that long ago, so perhaps that's the reason?

Personally, I'm torn between Mini and SD size, but I really prefer the Pulse head, and I also really, really like the resting hands that are only available for the SD size. So I'm sort of waiting to see what the next preorders are like!

Where are you seeing the head for wig-making @Mire Lapin? I just see 3D printed hair on Shapeways, but a head for wig-making sounds wonderful.

Anyway, that's a super handy thing to be able to buy!

 

I'm in the same boat, got the same e-mail. It's been a long 9 months.

I ordered some shoes and the wig making mannequin from Shapeways, The stuff came pretty fast and looks good, real nice 3D printing. I plan to glue the mannequin to a wood base for more stability as it is quite light.

 

DominiqueB: That's nice to hear about the Shapeways stuff, hopefully my doll will be in the second batch (got an email this week so fingers crossed) and maybe I will go and have a look at the store once she arrives Fingers crossed we both get our Pashas soon

 

I got the black glove hands from Shapeways, they look nice but didn't fit on the wrists and I had to dremel the hole out much larger to get them on. Also the magnet size needed is bigger than the one quoted on the site.

 

@avrilpaeony: Which size, mini or standard? Perhaps, if this is happing a lot we should email Erika. Erika was very helpful with a problem I had with an item on their Shapeways page.

 

They were the standard size, luckily I had the correct tools to enlarge the holes but would have been very difficult otherwise.

 

Really starting to despair now, the second batch of dolls came and we were told that they would be contacting us if our doll was on the way.... I ordered a blank doll... surely they should be quicker?

Yes, I got my e-mail yesterday. Mine should be ready in 1 to 2 weeks since I took faceup and body blushing. I’m really looking forward to sewing for this girl.

Hello everyone! I have been quietly stalking this page for a while now after seeing these beauties on Instagram. So, from what I gather from your conversations, the pre-order wait times are not 6 months as advertised, but closer to a year? Do you all have any idea when Pasha may open another Original pre-order? I looked through the thread and it looked like the last was this past May.

I ask because I am set on a Blue Blood after seeing all of Grotebur's other-worldly pictures. I am smitten! I have posted a WTB, but I don't think that is likely to happen. It just does not seem that many come up second-hand, and far fewer are blue. I'd also be fine with the Ebony silk, but they seem hard to find, as well.

@Alicat I ordered in May and there was a delay because the caster had to remake the moulds, so that caused the delay. There has been a Mini-Pasha pre-order since then, just before Christmas, so I imagine we are due another full-size pre-order as soon as all of the dolls have shipped out - just guessing? So you could be in luck and get your BlueBlood Pasha quicker than you think, fingers crossed

 

@vonbonbon , alright! I will patiently wait for the next pre-order to open, then! I have emailed her to ask if she knows when that may be, but I stalk her Instagram, too. I hope that maybe someone decides to let one go and message me, hahah!

 

I picked up my Breath yesterday. The box was so small I thought they had mistakenly shipped me a Mini, but no it was the original size as I had ordered. She came in a stylish black carry bag. She is quite stunning in person, Pasha did a lovely faceup and body blushing. She is really beautifully sculpted, nice resin and tightly strung, she is going to take a little bit of getting used to as far as posing. Those hands are so delicate it's scary, I have to get that girl a good quality stand.

 

I can echo everything @DominiqueB has said, the wait was long (For me anyway, I'm not good at waiting) but she was well worth it. The box and bag are tiny but the doll itself has huge impact. Mine is blank and yet I know she is a keeper, so strange and unusual and everything I was looking for to reignite my doll-love I hope we are allowed to add pics here, will link to the rest once they are uploaded somewhere: PashaPasha Breathe by Von Bonbon, on Flickr

I have good news! I am glad that I contacted Pasha about a doll! She has one in studio that she can paint for me! I am so excited! I am not sure how long it will be, but ill come back to share the specifics once I have paid for her and given Erika my blushing requests.

That's such good news @Alicat , just shows that it pays to reach out sometimes! Can't wait to see her. Thank you about my dolls, sadly I didn't get the chance to paint Breathe this weekend as the weather changed (Doh!).... fingers crossed for next weekend, the forecast looks promising. I'm making a mood board of ideas for her costumes and hair, I love Pasha's "Modern Baroque" doll and have always loved Vivienne Westwood so that is the look I'm going for too (these are my dreams, not sure my sewing skills are up to it, but hey ho!)

 

Oh no! That is sad! I understand how the weather changes are! I have migraines that one of the main triggers are weather changes. These few weeks have been bad! It can shift 30 degrees F in one day!

So, I paid for my girl and placed an order for two pairs of shoes from Shapeways today! My girl is an original size blue blood elf head with extra 2 pose hands! Yay! She is doing a special faceup and body blushing. I've asked for dark and smokey feeling. I'd love to have a deep purple lip color for her.

So, so happy!

 

So I got my Pasha Pasha mini a few weeks ago. I cannot stop taking photos of her. I thought I would not like her shoulder joints but I love them. She is very easy to pose and therefore very expressive. I will post some of her pics soon!

 

I got my pictures of the head for my elf girl in last week! Ibhad asked for some so I could get fiber for matching on her wig. I settled on a teal teeswater and I plan to do a shorter side-cut Bob. I cannot wait to have her home! She is gorgeous!! I am so excited to see how her body looks, too.

Hello all! My girl arrived yesterday! I am very happy with her, but I am missing the original set of hands, eek! I have emailed Erika and she is checking the studio for them. Here she is in a temporary outfit and wig. She will get her own wig this week, hopefully. Then, on to her clothing!

Thank you! My plan is to make her a side-cut wig out of teal teeswater, so that it will show off her ears! The teal will match her eyebrows!

I asked for the faceup to be dark and stormy, and it is just what I asked for! Lovely!

In other news, she was missing a pair of hands and Erika wrote me back on Monday saying she would check, but I've not heard back yet. They cost $150 for a set, so they arent cheap! I'm hoping I hear soon

 

I am a bit indecicive, i want in my heart the blue skin colour but im afraid it will be harder to find clothes and stuff that match, or maybee im just scared :P But i want the big girl with either Sanity head or if she makes another fantasy head, id love that. So im saving up for now ˆˆ

 

Erika couldn't find the hands, so she refunded me, yay!

@Elfvan88 I can understand! I never even thought about that, because I love fantasy skin colors SO much! It is a softer blue to me. I would think that any dark colors, and jewel tones would work. Then, depending on faceup, almost any range of colors. heck, even creams and whites, and pastels! My girl is kind of a goth girl, so her range is black, purple, teal, sparkly, silver, etc...She's also good with pink and lavender. and and I've ordered some more laces to make better panties and tops for her. Somehow these sculpts lend themselves to being shown nearly naked; they're just so gorgeous! Here is a (slightly out of focus) pic of her with the fiber I am using for her wig:
