Panel/Meetups at Anime Boston, March 31-April 2!

Hi there! Its Sarabell from the AB event page i made. I canceled my event, so ill keep track of this one!

 

I'll be there all weekend, so I might bring a doll or two. Probably Dacchan since she's such a BJD oddity haha. And maybe another mini. :3
@snowgray when's your panel this year? I know I slept in an missed it last year... >w>;

 

@snowgray I have photoshoots scheduled for 4pm on both Friday and Saturday, so hopefully it'll be at a time I can attend. If it's later in the evening or in the morning sometime, that'd be convenient hahaa. But I totally understand AB's unpredictability. XP

 

i can come!! idk what dolls i'm gonna bring though, it'll probably depend on if my ordered clothes come in time. :X

I'd like to attend! LOL TBH I'm planning on leaving the hobby since I dont have a community of doll owners to chill with so >> I might be giving away heads and clothes to loving homes LOL. I just bought a spur of the moment weekend badge for the con so ^^; I'll try to make it to at least one gathering.

 

I'll be heading there, thought not sure if I'll bring any dolls/attend an outside meet (I know last year I stood outside in line, waiting to get in in the freezing cold for over an hour ) If I do bring anyone it will probably be one of my unoas or my bluefairy (not risking losing a magnetic minifee hand haha)
Looking forward to hopefully seeing some other doll collectors around though! It'll be my first con since I really got back into the hobby and it'd be nice to see/buy some bjd-related stuff in the dealers room (my guilty pleasure )

 

I NOTICED YOU HAVE A SHINY FAIRY JR.????!!!! if you could bring them i would be forever grateful, i've been dying to see one in person before i decide on buying one omg...... i'll probably be bringing at least one of my bluefaires too~~ ^v^

 

If I end up bringing anyone I'll be sure to include her then! Bluefairys are so darling to me, I'd love to see yours as well!
(Edit: If anyone has a Cocoriang toby, please bring them! I'm so curious about them and would love to see one in person!)

 

hehe, i have three of 'em and a fourth in production, bluefairies are my absolute favourite!!
i'd second anyone bringing in anything from cocoriang!! everything they make is adorable, and i'll definitely bring in my dearmine tiny to play~!! :')

 

i'll probably be able to make any times, i don't really have anything scheduled for sure yet, and i don't get to go to doll meets very often so they kinda take priority. :3

are other gatherings allowed for the cosplay room? i don't remember AB having that before, but i don't think it could hurt to ask, since it is a lot of photoshoot type stuff. ^^

what exactly do you consider "dinnertime" tho, because for me "dinnertime" is at like one in the morning

but yeah, idk who i'll be bringing yet! i really want to bring stefani, but i don't have any means of hauling around an SD at the moment (but i am going to joanns later today and will be eyeballing some of their larger craft carries?!) plus she really needs a stand. but i'll definitely be bringing fiat and lee, and maybe charly, and probably a couple of my smaller dolls. i'm thinking belgin, ticky, and lorenzo, but i might bring wally just because he's so cute. :3 that's soooo many though, i really need to narrow down my selection. @___@;;
although i'm always tempted to also bring along a few floating heads in case anyone has a doll on a body i've been considering or wants to do a resin comparison ORZ

that would be wonderful if you had a doll stand to spare omg!!!
i did end up buying a rolling craft carrier (on sale!!) that's big enough to sit her in, along with a few other dolls, so i'll definitely be bringing her!!
i should've bought a few pillows or something tho omfg....
at least they're super easy to make so i can probably make a few on my own before the con. :P

 

I would love to go to the panel, and a meet on Sunday, however I can't confirm unless I know I'll have a ride

 

I don't think I can afford to go inside the con this year, but I would love to meet others! I'm brand new to the BJD hobby, seeing some dolls and meeting others would be fantastic. If there is a meet up outside I'll definetly try to come~! :3

yeee, i'm sure there'll be something outside the con itself! if not i can probably figure something out with a few of my other doll friends. :3

 

I'm within walking distance of the Pru, so I'll be able to make any time for the meet (n_n).

@snowgray Yes fantastic! I was just looking at my work schedule, and Sunday isn't a good day. Is it possible to meet outside the con on Friday the 31st? I'm free that day :3

 

If I can't make it on Sunday, I'll definitely go to the outside the con meet, as long as it's not too late at night!

 

Going to miss AB this year D: it snuck up on me and I'm going to be in Vermont. Have fun everyone!

 

I got a weekend pass, so I should definitely be able to make it! I'm so psyched to meet everyone!

 

I'll definitely try and make it to at least one meet or the panel! I'm always bad at staying on schedule at cons, but hopefully I'll just make myself bring a doll and then I'll have to go!

 

Unfortunately I cannot move my work day, but thanks for inviting me! I'm sure next year I'll plan a better time off (I was unaware of BJD groups so close to me)

I'm gonna try to go to the JJBA panel at 4pm with the big cosplay group, so if I can make it after the panel and the photo shoot isn't afterwards, I will! I definitely want to go to the Sunday morning panel!

 

4-6 on Saturday works for me! I might be a little late depending on how many people I'll have to go through, but hopefully it won't be too crowded in the malls!

i've put it in my guidebook schedule as a custom reminder. ^^

last minute, but if anyone going to any of the meets has any eyes like these they'd like to sell/trade or give away (around 14mm but i'm not too picky atm since they'll most likely be temporary) could you bring them? i'd be glad to take them off your hands. :3

whoo!!! i'm heading down to boston today so i can get my pre-reg in. :3
i've packed up my big craft carrier with stefani, ticky, lorenzo, and belgin, and fiat and lee are in their carrier. i'm so excited to see everyone and their dolls!!

 

I'm not sure if I can make the Saturday meet but I will definitely be at the Sunday panel! Can't wait to see everyone and all the cute dollies!

Did anyone happen to pick up a toothbrush looking thing around the bjd panel today? I lost my volks hair brush (it basically looks like a fancy white tooth brush with a pointed end in a case) I feel like such a clutz for losing it ;u;

 

I had a lot of fun at the panel on Sunday! Sorry I arrived late- I was in charge of room checkout and shooing everyone out. XP
It was so nice to see new and old faces, and finally meet the people behind the avatars hahaa. I loved seeing the vast diversity of dolls at the panel, too!

And I didn't pick up a hairbrush, sorry! D:

 

i just got done uploading every one of the.... literally over a hundred pictures i took at the con to a private imgur album, so anyone who has time to load all those images (lmfao) can take a look here: ab17 doll meet
i would embed a slideshow version but i cant seem to get DoA to do that. :P
they're all unedited and i think i accidentally uploaded a few doubles but it's hard to tell when you take like 5 pictures that look almost exactly the same. >_<;;

if there's any of your dolls in there you're welcome to download them and use them however you like. ^p^

also: fair warning, i'm not the best photographer, and i think imgur sometimes compresses larger images in a weird way, which i think happened with a few of them x___x;;;

but yeee, it was great to see everyone and their dolls!!
i had such a good time, gosh, i really hope i can manage to make more meets this year..! ^^
