Hello everyone!! I’m using this thread to track progress on my mtf mod for a beloved D&D character of mine. Acyra is a good-aligned cambion paladin, and the daughter of a lord of hell. She’s an npc in a homebrew I’m running soon. She’s also an impossible doll to find from the company. I needed an 80-ish cm muscular female doll in jet black resin with wings, horns, and a tail. Since that doesn’t exist, I started with a LoongSoul b-73-02 (I think it’s the 02) in a custom colour for a different character, and a twigling ingenue head. Here begins my journey. This first post will serve as kind of a reference section/to-do list! -sculpt/refine breasts (Post 3) -sculpt/refine vulva (there won’t be pictures, as I did slightly more than just the standard slit.) (post 3) -enlarge hips/enhance waist to make a slightly more feminine silhouette -lengthen entire body 3-5 cm (Not necessary, I re-did the scale fro everyone else) -find jointed hands that fit and aren’t huge like her default hands -sand neck a little to fit Ingenue -paint horns and glue in magnets -make wings/figure out how to attach them (probably strung?) -make tail (wire and fabric? Jointed resin tail of some kind? Buy a tail? Who knows!) -dye whole doll black -order/create wig -figure out faceup for her - make armour/sword I’m sure I’m missing something, but I’ll edit it in later! I’ll be back tomorrow with some shots of her chest once I have it at a place where I kind of like it!
All of the work from this was done last night, but I have her chest mostly sculpted. IMG_2590 This is her body after all the sculpting of yesterday. You can see that her waist/hips still look very masculine (which I'm going to eventually fix. Her hand is covering her newly sculpted genitals because I got carried away and sculpted something a touch more realistic. The LoongSoul body wasn't ideal for height, or for already being feminine (I chose it because I had it!) but one thing that was lovely was not having to sand off what was already there (LS uses magnets!) So I've sculpted over the area where the magnet used to go. For the breasts, I've used apoxie sculpt. I basically made a semi-circle for the bottom edge, and then built on the rest. I remembered from an FtM tutorial that the breasts go lower than pecs do on male dolls, so I kept that in mind. I had a couple of my dolls (an Iple SID and a Hid chest) around for physical references and I had images of how other muscular dolls were sculpted, so it didn't feel like too much of a shot in the dark. The current dilemma is what head is going on her. I wanted to do an Ingenue head, because I've seen how those look in black resin, and they're gorgeous. The only concern is that she looks a little small on this thick neck. IMG_2594 the neck looks a touch long and a bit thick here IMG_2595 it's not bad from the side though. IMG_2597 Gamine is a smaller head, so I have no idea why she looks alright to me? Perhaps her face is a smidge longer, so the neck doesn't look as long. IMG_3597 It's also alright from the side. IMG_2591 Angela was a wildcard. I only tried her on it because she was a bigger head. Also looks reasonable (though I'd have to improv a neck key, or a doughnut). I ended up liking her, but I really like the nonhuman-ish vibe the Twigling sculpts have. IMG_2593 It works. I might also do the sides like this (but a lot cleaner) on her real wig. IMG_2600 whatever head I go with, I wanted to see how these breasts looked in clothes. this shirt was one of the only things I have that would fit. I like them so far (her clothes will be less thick, so I'm not as worried about her nipples poking through.) IMG_2603 this outfit was from SartoriaJ (for eid/Sid, I think?) the skirt fits easily, but that shirt is not really shirt-ing, and it's at its breaking point. Acyra is going to be hard to dress. Another thing you can see in the full-body pics is a pair of white hands. Those are Dollstown, and the only hands with a thick enough wrist to fit her that weren't as massive as the LS hands. I'm hoping to find jointed hands that fit either body, so that's one of the next quests. I'm also going to paint up her horns (which I got from Mirrorada forever ago!)
Not too much to update us on! She fit an EID man jacket (a bit loose), and she's now stolen a spare set of Twigling hands, which are just the prettiest hands. I still think I'll want a jointed pair down the road, but that pair is lovely for a static posed pair. I think I'm almost satisfied with the way her horns turned out, so it might be time to glue in her magnets. I'm tempted to install magnets on the inside of her head cap as well. Anyone else have thoughts on that? It's thick, so I'd probably have to Dremel out a spot for them. This is doable, because I'm not even thinking about resale value at the moment. I'm dyeing her up and modding the body to hell and back (Or maybe the 9 hells and back), and I don't plan on reselling her. Another thing I'll edit onto the list is finding eyes, because every good pair of eyes I have is 14mm, and I'm picky af about eyes and she needs 12mm. I can get her a contingency set, but I'm crying in Dollbakery right now, because I have the perfect set of eyes, and they're too big. Why did I use 14mm eyes in every doll I owned before this? 12's look so much better in most of what I have IMO. Oh well. Also, if you saw how swirly the apoxie was on her right breast? I had to resculpt that one. Please, this is a PSA, please mix your apoxie better than I did, and spare yourself the suffering that is resculpting something you liked. I know how I want to do her wings! I saw a tut for dragon wings made out of an umbrella, so I'm going to adapt that for her. Her wings were supposed to be big, so I'm okay with the size they're going to come out. For the tail, I have a few options: I like the looks of the teddy bear armature route, especially screwing in because then it's detachable but can't just fall off easily like a magnet. I definitely considered sculpting something similar to the articulated tail on Soom vesuvia (the shape of the segments makes it able to "lock" in position-- though it definitely needed sueding when I had one, and I'd be making mine much longer) the upside to this is that it would be made of the same stuff as the doll's mods (apoxie) so it would look "consistent" with the rest of her, unlike a fabric-covered tail. Mine would be much smaller segments (it's not supposed to be quite as impressive as hers!) and much longer. The easiest option is a wire tail, but I think I'd just try that for proof of concept, because I don't like that the wire could break. I could also sculpt a static tail and not go through all this mayhem, but I really like the idea of having it able to move. I own a Sweet witch tail but I intend to use that for a succubus character I'll eventually make. so yeah. Horn pictures to come, and I'm going to have to order a small umbrella to dissect.
Oh my goodness, thank you so much!!! I'll actually be posting super soon about a setback I had with her horns, some wing stuff, and her sword that I've started!!
Oooo, I can't wait to see the end product!! I've been thinking about making a Gerudo doll and this seems like a good method to do it. ❤️
I totally had to google Gerudo, but I can definitely see how this would work for one of them! I hope what I’m doing helps!
I love what you have done so far, I myself am actually making my rogue! Muscular breasts are difficult, and anatomically you got them down! The Ingenue head to me doesn't look too small at all, but the Angela sculpt does have a pleasant, paladin vibe. It screams justice and "I am here to help"
This is the first time I’ve seen such modifications and I love it! You must be good with anatomy as well because everything looks right proportion wise. Looking forward to see her finished!
Thank you so much!! Honestly, I totally improvised when I was sculpting her! I just had other Topless dolls sitting around as references and that really helped!!
Even if you totally improvised and didn’t know what you were doing, you did great in the end. And that’s what matters! I really like how it’s turning out!
I just... NEED MORE BUFF WOMEN (BJDs) IN MY LIFE!! Thank you for doing gods work lololol! They’re looking great!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!Currently she’s being the buff woman I need to see in the world ahaha. Once the weather gets nice around here, I’ll even be able to get out the dremel and make an update about her (though highkey, loongsoul 73cm bodies are strangely easy to turn into buff girls. Something tells me I’m going to end up with more of them..
OHHHHHHHH I’ll definitely want to see more pictures and more buff girlies... I have many dnd characters that need a buff/meaty shell
I’ll have to post my other project! She’s a frankenstein body of an iple Hid woman chest, Soom idealian f body and impl muscle girl arms. I’m right there with you- so many buff Dnd girls that need nice bodies.
I'd almost forgotten this thread, but don't worry, I'm back now, (kinda). I've dremelled in what's going to be her tail hole. Her tail is going to screw in, with a couple of very small nuts that I'll mount in there. Dremel day by Indifferent Red, on Flickr It's not super even, but apoxie hides all sins. It's a pretty short update here, but it's progress, finally.
I had not considered modifying a male body for a buff fem doll but I can totally see it! I’m far too picky to really like any of the muscular female sculpts out there (too thin!) but the incredible job you did with this doll is making me very tempted to try something like this myself…
