I have not heard a word from her since so I have sent a few emails asking about the status of my order but have not recieved any replies. On looking through some older posts here I understand that Yoyomy sometimes takes up to 3 months to complete commisions, well, that may be ok for someone who doesnt mind waiting but I believe that because I specifically asked the waiting time and was assured that it would be finished by the end of April that I am not being too impatient in asking for an explanation, even a reply to my numerous emails wouldve been a start. I dont know how to find out if she is still active on DofA or when she last logged on but I am becoming increasingly frustrated that I am being ignored whilst she has had my $273 for over 3 months now and I am afraid I will not see that money or my commisions ever.

I'm sorry to report Zagzagael, that there isnt an update, I am still waiting to hear from Mio, as it seems are a few people on her website, however there are a very few on there who do not seem at all concerned by her 'dissapearance' and continue to wait patiently sure that she will be in contact eventually, unfortunately I am not one of them. I continue to become increasingly worried by the fact that she has a great deal of peoples money and has not been active on here, or her own sales website since April, and is not answering any emails. I've ordered from Mio four times before in the future but I have never been made to wait this long. It literally has been four months since I placed my order as well. Just wondering where yoyomy has gone! Hoping for some updates!
I have done several group orders with Mio. The wait is usually at least 4 months. She sometimes waits until she has a lot of items sewn or finished and then mails in batches of 4 or 5 orders. Also she sometimes can take as long as 5 months or a little longer depending on orders.. She ALWAYS comes through. She has no helpers and I think sometimes she just takes on a little more than she can handle in a short period. I don't think she liked to turn anyone away and really does want her clients to be happy.. I know the wait is sometimes gruesome and many do not like to wait after paying high price for items but Mio has never , not completed her obligations as far as I know , as of this date.. Hope all can hang in there and I am sure there will be a message from Mio sometime. I hope she is not ill. She did get quite ill a couple summers ago..
I have also done several group orders and personal orders through Mio's website and her work does indeed take a very long time to complete. I have had orders take up to 6 months with little to no contact. Unfortunately, this is kind of par for the course with Mio. I hope you get your items! My suggestion is keep leaving messages and email her, she did respond to me eventually when inquiring about my group order, but I had to email her several times and she did miss deadlines repeatedly. I specifically told her I needed these clothes by a specific date (I was leaving to san fran to give my sister her doll- and I had bought Mio clothes for him to wear) and they did not arrive in time.
I do appreciate your replies, it kind of confirms what everyone else says, that she takes a very, very long time to complete commissions, ok fair enough, but to not answer numerous emails from worried customers, or reply on her own selling website, to questions and concerns from April, is in my mind, a certain way to start people worrying. Obviously if you have ordered from her before, you are not going to be concerned, but for first time customers like myself its a different matter, especially as I keep trying to point out,she promised me the items the end of April, I wouldnt have bought them otherwise. I also think its really strange that if you are sending her an email to enquire about making an order, she replies everytime within 10 minutes, but ask about the status of your order, you wont hear a word from her. I am really sorry if she is ill, but surely if she has been ill from April, she could have put an announcement on her own clothing website to reassure the many worried people posting about their orders. As you say, her clothes are lovely, but this is really not worth the wait and the worry. If I ever do see my clothes or money again, it will leave a very bitter taste, whilst I still have my new dolls so long without the outfits I envisaged for them, it has taken away a lot of the pleasure I should have had, and I dont have hundreds of $$ to buy them different outfits. This has still not been resolved. some people on her website seem to think she may be ill, but as she has not been on her own website ,answered any emails or been active here in 4 months it must be a very serious illness if that is the case. Has anyone actually been in any type of contact with Mio/Yoyomy in the last 6 months? Even just to place an order?
Yoyomy has been on DoA on August 4th, did anyone hear from her? Someone on my sister's f-list has received her May pre-order these days. There had been no notice beforehand, although on the MIO website her status had been "work is in progress" since May. Still something is missing from the order and apparently there are other questions as well. Sis and I are also waiting for our order... or any kind of notice about what the status of our order is.
I have just recieved my order from Mio with no problems, everything I ordered was there. I didn't recieved any update or email telling me it had been sent. So I'm sure everything will arrive eventually.
Jessicat, when did you order your items? It does seem odd that some people are updating Mio's website saying that they have recieved their orders, yet still no word from the lady herself?! It really does seem a very strange way to run a business and a website, to never reply to any emails unless they are for orders, yes , I did enquire, under another name, about making an order, (I wasnt going to make one) and so suprisingly, she answered within 5 minutes!!! Yet if I inquire about the wherabouts of the order I made in April... nada,nothing, disappearded of the face of the earth! I placed my order on the 4th April and she sent me an invoice the same day. I've been checking the names of those who have recieved their orders and it seems they placed their orders around the same time as me.
So did I. I am confused now, I was always under the impression that the orders were processed in chronological order? And still no update on Mio's order page regarding status or shipping. Can anybody explain how this paging thing works? Because she has been on DoA since being paged, but obviously she didn't react to that. And only out of interest and for the record, what happens if someone on DoA doesn't react to being paged? Does it make a difference if someone is a professional dealer using DoA as a platform, or a private marketplace user?
Why do you believe this member has been on the forum since 7APR? The Problem Transactions subforum is the preferred way for members of DoA to resolve issues encountered in the Marketplace. Where all these Mio orders placed here, through her Commissions thread, a Group Order, or a Marketplace sales thread? Or via her website?
The orders aren't always processed in chronological. I remember Mio saying large orders took longer to process- which is why my group order was one of the last orders to ship. Smaller orders ship faster.
Zagzagael, I think the vast majority of the orders, mine included, were made from here, group orders and individual orders. As Yoyomy/Mio includes a link to her website on her sales thread on DofA, I would imagine, that out of desperation, people are asking about their orders on her website as they cant get in contact with her here, but she is also not active on her website, although it seems that some people have indeed recieved their orders in the last month, unfortunately many others, myself included, havent! All most people on her website and here are asking for is a response and an update, and I still maintain that it is not a lot to ask for when someone has a great deal of your money for over 5 months ! I'm just bringing this thread up to the top again, as I still have not received any of my order from Mio or heard anything from her. According to her website, quite a few people are now receiving their orders after 4-5 months wait. I must be the longest standing order, having paid at the beginning of April this year, which makes a 6-7 month wait. I guess the people who did not complain will get their orders first?!?! Xinte
I also paid in April, or late March...can't quite remember now ^^; It's irritating because right before she went MIA, she had me put down as next to be shipped! And then I see all these people getting their orders who didn't have usernames that matched up with the "next to be shipped" list. Oh well... I'd really like to hear from her...
I should admit I haven't been the brightest with my most recent orders with mio: I'd like to point out that I am the first person on her May 15th shipping list, above someone who got her package on July 27th. I have very outstanding orders with her. They were made in January, February and March. I know the February and March ones were made because I previously wanted to order EID clothes but was worried about the measurements I gave her. She informed me later through email that she was getting an Akando and asked me if I wanted to order any of his clothing. She said my whole order would ship end of March. I believe this to mean all my clothes were finished, she said the jeans would be made the next day and she would ship out my clothes right after. It was delayed a bit to be April 2nd. Mio then placed up her new clothing edition late March-early April. I adored the clothing and made an order. I really did think these orders would ship separately, since I assumed the previous clothing were already made. She said she'd ship them all together and they would be finished in 2 weeks. I paid April 1st. On April 16th I messaged her to see if there was a tracking number, she replied with the number. On April 21st I replied back stating it did not work and I didn't mind if it was a few days delayed I just wanted to know when it would arrive to be there to receive it. No response. Mio updated early May with the May 15th shipping list and end of month list. It also looks like she was replying to messages early that month. On June 7th I created another message asking her how she was doing and if there was anything new on my order. No reply. I updated on June 25th letting her know I was disappointed, that I had paid her a lot of money, that she gave me an EMS number that did not work, that she had updated my order as having been shipped and that I wish she would update me on how she was doing. No reply. I left an open message at m2kdolls on August 30th basically asking her to update her shipping page. I have recently emailed her saying I will not be available to pick up the EMS package if it arrives during specific dates. I also added my entire order/ list of items. *** I have been ordering from mio since late 2006. I'm normally really patient with her orders and am used to her lack of communication on the website. (but sometimes I'm upset when items are missing from my package ) This time frustrates me though since a 6-month wait is pretty bad for mio, but I am even waiting on clothes from 9 months. I don't even know where the package will end up either (even though she acknowledged my new address) or if it will contain everything I ordered. I am not angry with mio, last year I suggested she find someone to help her maintain the website and communication aspect of her business. She then decided to change her ordering style to accept less orders per period and to have everything finished before she opened a new order. 40 orders still seems too much. I wish Mio would realize she'd have happier customers if she worked a little bit more on the communication aspect of her business. It would be less stressful - I give myself this angst because I love her clothes
I paid in April and have received no word either, which is a little disappointing because there were others that paid after me, ordered after me, etc that have received their orders. I hope someone has heard from her!
Oh it's back! But yes, I sort of hoped it was because of an update. The largest updates are new clothes and I don't see that happening for a long time. I am hoping I have my order by Christmas.
I hope Mio is ok. I also am waiting on GO for a long time. Since before the April order she posted. This is the longest wait, I have ever had. I hope she can update with news for all those wating. I am used to long wait of like 4-5 months but not this long.. I hope to hear news on her site or by email sometime soon.
Just checking in - I'm still in wait mode and not particularly angry, but I also ordered in April and haven't gotten my stuff or any response. It's a small group order organized on DOA. This has been the longest I've waited for a Mio order so far as well.
I am part of Tsuminaki's group order here on DOA. We paid in early April. I think it was before April 4th. At one point our thread was put in the archives because the mods had assumed it had been completed! CelticGeekess kindly resurected it for us. I, too, hope Mio is well. I hope she gets in touch with someone soon.
I can't tie up money like this anymore when I could have used it somewhere else. A wait of 4-5 months was ok, I could handle that. But I'm thinking I may not even have some of the dolls I ordered for by the time I get the order, I'm thinking spring 2010?? It's extremely frustrating that she hasn't improved her business practices, it isn't like mio has to phone everyone, she simply needs to spend 2 minutes and let everyone know she is alive and hopefully give us an updated shipping list. Since this wait has been so long, it's reasonable for me to think it will happen again, I don't think I can swing another wait like this no matter how gorgeous her next update is.
I'm sorry to say I won't be ordering again, and I do love her things very much. But you're right. A wait this long without one word of explanation simply isn't on.

7 months, 3 weeks, and not a single word. No updates, no means of communication Mio would react to, nothing. I'm starting to feel helpless and although I've always held Mio in high regard, now I'm really beginning to doubt I will ever see my outfits or my money again. I knew I had a months long wait ahead, I've ordered from her before. But that wasn't even remotely comparable to what is happening now. If I am honest I would like to have my money back now, but from the other side of the world there's no way I could enforce even that. There are so many of us. Makes me sad.
Mio usually pulls through and we see our orders eventually, but I'm doubting I will see my order(s) anymore. This wait has been so different from my others, they were long but never this long. I wish we could force an intervention of some sort? My dolls are naked, I want my clothes or give my money back so I can use it to buy clothes for them.
This may be a stupid question, but have you all considered seeking legal advice on this together as a group? Knowing Mio's prices, I can't imagine the amounts of money invoved here are small, so I would think this kind of fraud would warrant at the very least a police report and speaking to Paypal about! I think we have all had great affection for Mio over the years and admiration for her talents. If only she would communicate I believe we would grant her whatever understanding she needs if things are going badly for her in any way. But without communication, I do confess that I would be willing to have our group leader ask Paypal for a refund. I am wondering what the others in my group are feeling about this.
I don't think paypal can do anything as it's well beyond their 45-day limit. I've been wondering about taking legal action too, to get my money back. Unless Mio shows some sort of life, I don't know what we all should do...how long do we have to wait? I've heard of people not getting their stuff for a year, so...I don't know if we should all give up hope yet. I would rather have the items I ordered though, I'm still hoping Mio will show her face soon...

This long wait is really much longer than normal for Mio.. I hope she is still out there somewhere and will surface.. I believe her to be honest and if able will come through with everyones items sometime.. Not sure if anyone from her area is on DOA and knows her to find out if she is ok.. Maybe she is in a creative major slump or something.. I hope she will eventually get on the boards and let us all know if all is ok.. We are all being so very patient and hope she can just try to let us know that she is still ok..

Well, that is the problem with long delays. One's dolls change over time. And that is a lot of money to be out of pocket.

I just wrote on Uma's message board, I don't know if I'll get a helpful response but at least her message board seems to get replies, so that's a hopeful sign...will let everyone know the response when i get it!

I am bumping because this is a good request, I myself haven't received anything from mio in over a year or more and do not have her info, I recall it being hard to read.
I check Y!J daily, and while Mio has sold OOAK sets from time to time, I haven't seen any auctions by her for ages and ages.
Sorry to hear of the VERY VERY long wait on your Mio orders. That really sucks. Mio's clothing is perfect but her customer service needs some work... I have her mailing address I kept off the last order I received (Feb. 2009). If anyone would like to PM me I would be more than happy to give her address to them.
