Resolved Paging Serena_oxox - member permanently banned

This is the sequence of events for the sale of a 2021 Volks Lieselotte fullset sold by @Serena_oxox :

• Sept 9: I message the seller about an mp post they have and we message back and forth several times. Where we negotiate the price and I'm told the doll is in China instead of Los Angeles, California as the listing originally says. they say they're moving to China and have already shipped the doll to China. I pay via PayPal. I also ask to get pics of the doll with the arm up and a note with a handwritten note.
• Sept 10: she replies she'll do that when she gets back to China and her flight is on the 15th to which I agree. I see her having visited DoA following the 15th for the next few days, daily to every other day.
• Sept 19: I ask if she can take a photo of the doll. DoA messages says that she last looked at this message thread Sept 10, but her profile again shows that she's visited DoA after I sent this message.
• Sept 20: I send a second message asking when I can expect doll shipment since the listing mentioned seller will ship in 1~2 weeks. Her profile states she has also visited DoA after i sent this message.
  
• Sept 23: I state my concern over the non-response and that i will be putting in a paypal dispute if i don't hear from her in 24hrs.

She again has visited DoA after I sent this final message at 1:16a according to the profile page but has not looked at the message thread. Technically, it has been 2 weeks since payment now without any contact after I sent payment. Normally I don't mind waiting for dolls, but I'm most bothered about the seller not replying despite visiting DoA multiple times after each of the last 3 times I messaged.

There are a few things caught my attention in addition to the deal it was. First was the empty duplicate feedback page (they have an old feedback page as well as a new blank feedback page), the sudden changed shipping location not mentioned in the listing; the not having the doll on hand to take pics; and finally the visiting DoA but not responding to messages even to say they're jetlagged, still unpacking, or some kind of excuse.
I am aware China has the Great Firewall that blocks many sites, but this should have been anticipated since they knew they were going to China. I know there exists ways to get around it, and they have been shown to have been visiting DoA at least every otherday since they were have said to be in China.

I would like some form of communication from the seller.

 

Ah, so it's confirmed she is scamming if she's sold the same doll to two different buyers. What story did she tell you when you were discussing with her?

 

if you take screenshots of your conversation (censoring out personal info like your address/full name) and post links of it to this thread, I think it'll be helpful for compiling the information.

@Serena_oxox seems to have never responded to the paypal claim within 10 day time period given and paypal automatically ruled in my favor today and will be refunding my money.

I'm thinking she actually moved back to china permanently and no longer cared about any doll reputation or her american paypal account, so she scammed to get a quick buck, withdrew all the money from paypal, left it it a zero balance, and not caring about it going into the negative more than a 1000 dollars when inevitably we, the victims, are refunded.

I will say the situation is resolved for me, but definitely negative feedback for Serena. I wish there was a way to tie this to her chinese social media accounts like weibo, wechat, and esp xianyu, their 2ndhand market platform. :\
