Resolved Paging Purple_Enma about Soom Beyla Hybrid - MP BAN

I hate that this has gotten this far, but in light of signing in and seeing that her last activity was 22hr ago, while she hasn't responded to DMs here or on Facebook from me since May 5th and September 27th respectively over a transaction that should have been finished a number of years ago... here we go.

My Paypal records only go back to the start of 2015, but I have screencaps of our Facebook conversations going back before 3/17/2015 when I completed the layaway for a doll that Purple_Enma had listed here on DoA. We found Facebook more convenient to discuss the layaway over, although we have some conversation history here as well. Since the transaction spanned both websites, I realize the finer details could get muddied, but I think the DoA DMs sum it up well, and I can provide those to a moderator if requested, as well as the offsite exchanges for further detail. I did initially see the doll for sale on DoA, but we were Facebook friends.

The sales thread, which she flagged as on layaway before it got flagged as finished, is here in the graveyard on DoA. I just want to get this resolved in a positive way ASAP.

I have been requesting a refund since 2016 to no avail, since it seemed quite clear that the doll was never going to be shipped, and the artists I had lined up to repair damages to the doll's blushing have since not only had to give my slots to other people, but in some cases have left the hobby or stopped taking commissions entirely. At one point in 2016 I was offered a refund in "two weeks" and contact was dropped, which ended up being the norm. Because the payments were farther and farther behind us, I reasoned that I would not be getting my doll.

But I messaged her this spring on DoA about it, since she tends to attend Ldoll, and she agreed that if she couldn't ship before then that my friend @PuffyPuffers was an agreeable go-between to pick the doll up. Puffy and I know each other in person, so I know she could safely get the doll to me, and she's vending at Ldoll. However, Enma got upset while arrangements were being made as Ldoll approached, and now hasn't responded to my messages, and until I saw her activity on DoA (where she told me she is inactive) I wasn't sure that she was active anywhere at all. As far as I know Enma is also working as a dealer or artist at Ldoll. With less than 12 days until the event, I would like this sorted out ASAP, so that Puffy and I can make arrangements regarding shipping the doll to me if Enma even intends to bring it (at which point Enma would need to refund the cost of shipping her to me, so that Puffy can ship her to the US). I have also not seen any photos of the doll's condition, and am afraid that Enma's avoidance may be related to damages that have happened since the initial listing.

Extras were promised over the years to make up for the shipping delays and lack of updates, but at this point, I would just like one of the following:

1) The total cost refunded so I can stop holding out hope, and a seller beware of some kind made known, because this is unacceptable.
2) The cost of shipping refunded and doll given over to @PuffyPuffers at Ldoll as agreed, so that Puffy can ship it to me, provided it isn't further damaged.
3) The doll shipped to me before Ldoll, with photos of its current condition, a tracking number so that I can verify it's on the way.

 

So from the sounds of things, Ldoll has started; which eliminates option #3, and is clearly close to eliminating option #2 as well. I tried contacting @Purple_Enma on Facebook last Sunday, and the notification hasn't even switched to "delivered" as of today. But here's a screenshot of the end of my attempts to message her:



At this point, I'm very much at a loss for what to do. As of writing this post, Puffy hasn't seen or heard from her at all. I'm not going to badger her through the event about tracking her down--I think Purple_Enma has had more than enough chances and opportunities to get in contact with one of us. I'm really disappointed and hurt that it's looking like she's just going to ghost me after all this time.

 

I think what can be out in the open is likely fine, since it has a record. That said, I do think that's a large number of overlapping excuses and most of them seem unlikely--but, I am willing to believe that dropping the ball wasn't your intention. It was my impression that you were going to work with the person Puffy contacted to check on how you were doing, and it's my bad for not confirming that before posting, but since you'd taken us trying to contact you through a friend poorly I didn't want to do so a second time.

I would happily take the refund at this point. It's my understanding that at least two other people are looking to get in touch with you about commissions owed. I hope you'll be able to contact them as well.

 

I'm sorry your friend felt attacked; since I had no contact with that person, that's a bit out of my hands. I know at one point you quoted me $58 for Priority Mail, and $570 for the doll, and I believe that was what we went with. Facebook still has the record of our old exchanges, but it looks like I sent my last payment, including the shipping cost, to you March 17 2015. So the total would be $628 USD.

If at all possible, getting the entire balance sorted by New Years would be nice. If it has to be January, I do understand.

 

I've been backed up on Facebook messages myself, so I think I missed yours. I'll re-send you my Paypal info over FB and let the mods know when the entire balance has been taken care of. I'm glad that it was work instead of illness this time!

 

Sorry for the lack of updates on that front! I have had contact with her, and two payments have been made. One on 11/28/2018 (for $190.90) and another on 2/3/2019 (for $200 even), which... brings us to $390.90/$628.00. We last spoke on Facebook on 1/27/2019, but February wrecked me, so I hadn't pushed her. If she doesn't see that she's been tagged in the thread here, I'll DM her in the morning to see if there's any update.

 

Delayed update because life things, but she has made another payment, of $200 on March 29. We're now at $590.90/$628.00 repaid.

 

Today @Purple_Enma sent $37.10, which brings us up to the total $628 owed! While it's taken four years to get to a close on this transaction, I'm very glad that it has eventually come to an end, and I hope that Enma can be more reliable as a seller moving forward.

So @eleniel I think it's due time to close the thread, unless there's any further involvement or info DoA would like to know.
