Resolved Paging Hiatari - unhappily resolved

    1. I recently purchase a doll from Hiatari.
      The package just arrived yesterday with problem. I have contacted her but there's no response.

      Hiatari, please response to my message.
       
    2. One day after I made this thread, @Hiatari contact me asked for video and pics of evidence (26th).

      I give her the video on the same day, and give bunch of detailed pics on the next day (27th) as her requested.

      But since then, there's only silence.
      She didn't respond back to me despite of couple of messages I send to her.

      After inspected the damaged of the doll and props, I found out the damages MAYBE originally come from Hiatari, and not because of shipping. If it's true, then It's mean she lied, because she stated the doll as "no damage" on the sale post.

      I'm thingking of open paypal claim, but will waiting for her to respond to me until next week.
       
    3. I recently purchase Iplehouse EID Leonard from @Hiatari

      At first, I asked for short layaway, but finally deal with full sum. I asked for a pic containt all of the good included in the sales. Right when I asked for their paypal address, they told me to paid as friend\family. Even though they never state anything about it on the sale post. You can see the original post sale here
      I refuse right away at that time. Ready to back off as I don't feel it safe for me to send payment that way.
      But Hiatari reassure me with their feedback, claim that both last transaction done this way. They said they need quick money and paypal took too long to release their money unless the payment send as friend\family. And offered me the option of send payment 50-50 as purchased good and friend\family to reassure me even more.
      Though I'm still a bit worried, but I agree with that option.
      I send the payment on the very same day. And ask again of photo of all the included in the sale since they don't give it to me yet. It's all on 28th June.
      Hiatari give me the pic the next day, 29th.

      I noticed there's only 1 gun on the pic and asked them about this, and this's their answer


      I believed them and see there's no problem. I ask Hiatari to pack the doll safely and just take their time, no rushing here.

      Hiatari give me the tracking number at 1th July.

      But when I check the tracking number, I kind of surprised to see that the package posted at 29th June. The very same day when the requested pic are taken and that time, clearly the doll still fully strung and no pack job at all yet.
      So fast ? I doubt a little at that, but decided to think positively.

      The package arrived about 1 month later. Please note that the package arrived at my post custom at 23th July and I picked up the package the very next day, 24th.

      The package still warped cleanly with original russian post plastic. No hole or anything. The box also not beaten up. Only bit dents on the sides, that's normal for me. But when I open the box, I got shocked.

      I stopped taking pic at this point, and start do video recording instead. Here's the videos



      I immediately contact Hiatari about this. I'm shocked so much as I never received the doll come with this condition through my time in this hobby.
      After calmed down, I carefully inspect the goods. The doll dirty all over, I scrub it piece by piece.
      And then I found the damages. Which is, as I carefully inspect, is not due to poor pack\ damage during shipping.
       
    4. The head have heavy wig stain on the face. Also there's an obvious white mark\crack on the right cheek.

      The inner piece on the torso are detached. And it doesn't fit with the torso. There's a gap. Also chip on the leg.

      The gun have it trigger cleanly and completely detached. And I can't find that piece. I found it weird, since the trigger part are thin and fragile. If it got damage during shipping, It should have snap\ break. Not cleanly detached like that. I tried to yank the trigger on the other gun ( to see if it easily come off). It didn't even budge and I afraid it will snap if I use more force.
      Then I remembered the requested pics which missed 1 gun in the pic. After zoomin the pic, I found out the damaged gun is the very same gun as the missing one. I check the pic on original post, zoom in again, and found out the gun lost the trigger part from the start. It mean Hiatari lied and intentionaly tried to hide the damage from me.

      The sword got snap off. I noticed the sword are bend in the original sale pic and indeed come bend to me. But when I glued the sword back, I found the sword didn't fit in the box. How did Hiatari even fit it in ? Unless they forced it and the result, it's snap.
      Honestly, the box are way too small for EID male ( plus weapons and outfits). Even with messy unwarped doll parts and weapons , it still stuffed full.

      I asked Hiatari for partial refund.
      They refuse and shove the blame to my post office\custom . Even though I already pointed the damages are not due to shipping.

      I found it unacceptable.
      First, the stain and mark on the face up did not clearly seen on the sale pics and even worse on the requested pics. Hiatari state the doll as "no damage" on their sale post.
      Second, the inner torso. They should told me when they unstrung the doll, that part are detached.
      Third, the sword. I blame it fully on the poor way they forced pack it in the tiny box.
      And last, the gun. This's the most unacceptable to me as I really feel tricked here.

      And to make it worse, Hiatari even lied and tried to fool me, saying that they lost money due to exchange rate and do me a favor with not mentioning it.
      While the fact is, I'm the one who paid for it. I paid for exchange rate, paypal fees for both payments and even send a bit more for the handling fee.

      So my conclusion, this member are not trustable person. Honestly I would not bought this doll in the first place if I knew it flaws and damages . But now I don't dare to send back the doll as I don't trust them anymore. Especially with the fact that I send half the payment as friends\family. I afraid I will lost both the doll and my money if I continue to do transaction with them.

      I've make my claim at paypal for partial refund. Let's just see how it's going.

    6. Now, here is my side of this story.


      As per Natalia’s request, I have first clarified what questions she had, then sent her the additional photos she asked for. As both the wig stain and the bent sword are clearly visible in the photos I provided, I fail to see how that can be a surprise. Either way, she was apparently satisfied and we sealed the deal.

      As she requested, I took the doll apart and packed every bit as carefully as I could, both in bubble wrap and lining it with costume bits for softness. I take special care with my packing, as my feedback on DOA may testify, and I certainly did not make an exception here. I did not look inside the pieces, as it is known that even the best makers’ dolls may have faults within, and that is an acceptable practice as long as the doll’s looks and functions are not impaired. I can understand that someone may care for it, but Natalia did not indicate that she has — otherwise, if she did indicate her worries on this score, I would certainly have provided additional photos or whatever else she wanted.

      First, a letter from her claimed that the doll was smashed all in pieces, which, from her photos, was obviously an overreaction. Moreover, when she provided photos of the box as she received it, it was clear that the box was tampered with — for one, they very clearly show signs of the package being sealed by scotch tape. Russian Post, it must be said, NEVER seals its packages with regular scotch tape — if it uses any, it uses very distinctive, clearly marked tape. However, in my case they did not use any tape at all. Obviously, when I went to consult the post office on how the damage to the package could be done, they noted this on the photo at once and pointed out that the box was tampered with.

      Also, from photos provided by Natalia, it was obvious that the doll suffered en route — the pieces are clearly dirty, which they certainly were not when they left my hands (I will enclose both the photos of the doll made immediately before shipping and the package as it had been on the post office). Apparently, the face-up could have been damaged then, as in the photos I have of the doll prior to shipping there is no trace of damage.

      As it is, I cannot assume responsibility for the damage to the doll, as it has been done through no fault of mine.

      However, I did acknowledge that Natalia has a right to be upset, and offered to provide a full refund of the entire package and shipping with the understanding that she will send the doll and the outfit, complete as I have sent it, back to me. This is, to my understanding, as much of responsibility as a seller can assume — taking back what is unsatisfactory and returning the money.

      This she refused, claiming that she did not trust me — a claim which is nonsensical considering that, obviously, first the refund would be made and the doll sent later, so it is not an issue of trust.

      Considering this refusal, I cannot but conclude that she is not dealing with me in good faith, trying to both retain the doll and recover more than half of the package’s value. This is unacceptable.


      I will wait for DOA judgment for this.

    7. No, the wig stain not visible. Even after I zoom in the picture, at much I think it's just a projection of the blue background.
      And the white mark on the cheek, if it doesn't visible on the picture, it make it more neeed to be mention on the sale post. This's a basic of selling the doll. She can't just ignore it as it doesn't exist and state the doll as no damage.

      And the bent sword, yes I aware. I told Tatyana multiple time, I did aware the sword are bent. But bent and snap are completely different. She missing the point here.

      And she again avoid answering about the gun.

      Tatyana looks like really like to boosting her feedback. She did it multiple time when assuring me to send payment and to avoid the blame for poor handling. As if I don't have feedback too ? I'm in this hobby more than decade and done many transaction. Never have any problem before.
      She said she didn't see the inside. I asked her to unstrung the doll. Obviously she seen the inside when she unstrung. She has a chance to told me about it as I do not rushing her with packaging at all. But she did ignore it and done her express packing. How could I even know about the faults ? Am I a magician ?
      As a doll owner, she should know that inner piece is important. Especially for a big doll like EID. That piece hold when we do the posing with the torso. Without it, the lower torso can't hold the pose of upper torso.
      Yes, it can be fixed with some work. But I need to work for it. I did try to glue with hotglue first, it come off. Glue with superglue, it come off again when the doll strung. Some people said it work with putty. I bought a putty and trying with it. Hope it will hold strong.
      But I definitely will tell the buyer, if I sell the doll in the future, unlike Tatyana. And it definitely reduce the price of the body.

      Yes, the first message I send her, just a second after I open the box indeed my overreaction, as I'm still shaken and emotional when send the message. I did send another message right after that, correcting my overreacting message. Calmed down inspect the doll parts one by one and send the pics of damages to her.
      As for the tape, all package to my country will opened by custom. Opened and re seal again, yes with the tape. Especially now with covid19, all package must be opened to be sprayed. I especially did tell Tatyana about this. That's the biggest reason why I ask the doll to ship unstrung. You can ask all Indonesian members. We even need to pay for repacking fee ( even though it just a tape).
      But it doesn't mean the custom wrecked all the content of the package. As it seen at the video, even the smallest pieces are unwarped. The fact that the package only spend 1 day at my customs. There's no way they so iddle to wrecked it with hundrend or thousand another package they have to handle on that day.
      Beside, in decades I send/received package, never it happen.

      Yes, I did claim I do not trust Tatyana anymore and will not take back my claim. She lied to me, how can I trust her again. She still do not want to take any responsibility and again and again try to blame all to shipping/custom. Missing all the point and ignore my questions. Ignoring her lies also.

      DoA's admins are not judges. They will not judging. It's completely on our hand to settle this transaction. Please read the rules. I made this thread for we openly discuss with facts provided, also for record (also for paypal) and for feedback.

      What's the point of the pic of outer packaging ? It's the same as the one I provided. It show nothing. I asked for the inside of the package. To see if Tatyana indeed warp the parts carefully with bubblewarp and clothes one by one as she claim or not.

      The pic of the face up blurred, I hardly can see if there's a flaws or not.

      As I said, the bent are not the problem here.

      No, the stain are not clearly seen unless being told and look at it once again.

    8. Tatyana simply ignore all my questions and not willing to discuss. She just urge me to send back the doll.

      I have escalated this problem to paypal , let them solve it out.

    9. Since I have a problem with @Hiatari myself, I'll add my case to this thread. While I thought about making an own thread, I contacted ticuk about it and we agreed, that it might be more useful for other people to be able to see problematic experiences collected in one thread, instead.

      I purchased two dolls from Hiatari on Feb19. They were sold as fullsets in good condition, without any mods.
      I requested layaway for 3 months as first, but paid them full at March 06, once I had the rest amount available. It took a while until she shipped them and shortly before she asked for PayPal fees, which I paid beforehand. She apologized for this action and shipped them finally on March 26.

      When I got the dolls in Apr 09 there were just minor issues at first (little stains here and there), but then I was shocked that one of the dolls had it's head stuck in one position that was slightly tilted. When trying to move it, it will go back in that position .
      This was caused by a damaged neck hole, which is now too large and asymmetrical. The hook basically rests to deep in the hole and is a risk for the head to break through entirely.

      The neck on the body was also altered and appeared scraped off and rounded, most likely due to the force that must have come from moving the dollparts with force. Probably because the body was strung tightly in the first place. The damages at least clearly didn't happen during shipping. I contacted Hiatari about it and got very slow responses most of the time. As reason, she always mentioned personal issues. She also denied knowing about the damages and claimed to have gotten the doll like this from the company.

      This tilt is visible in her selling thread, too. Dolls of RingDoll always come undressed. So she would have found out about this issue, getting him dressed and even just by making photos, when trying to move the head even once.

      We discussed the matter and I asked friends in the hobby about how to solve this and suggested for her to send a partial refund, which she deemed to be too much. So I offered to open a thread to let the community discuss the matter.
      She didn't want this at all, so we then agreed on the amount of the refund (per friend/family option, as I paid 1/3 of the total as friend/family option upon her request before).

      But therefore she requested layaway for 3 months, again having personal issues, paying one part at the end of each month, starting in May. I received the first amount on June 16, which was at least half of it, as she wanted to make up for the longer waiting time at this point. But after that, I never got an answer from her ever again.
      She never went to our discussion again, while she was clearly active on the forum after. I also tried to contact her on other threads after a while, seeing no other way. I literally waited as long as I could, I tried to be considerate of her problems as much as possible and gave her the benefit of the doubt all the time.

      Sadly, I can see a pattern in many points, mentioned by ticuk about her. I never had a similar experience in that hobby, making me rather naive, I guess. On the literally last days possible, I made a claim for the missing amount of the refund, finally.
      I would recommend for people to be very careful about situations like this and to not wait as long as I did.
      If I had reacted right away, the issue with ticuk might not have happened, and I am incredibly sorry about that!
      So please be careful, everyone!

      The paypal ask me to send back the doll for full refund of HALF of my payment !!!!

      Now I get it why Tatyana always urge me to send back the doll. So she can have both the doll and half my money. Brilliant. This's what she aimed for since the beginning.

      The paypal actually siding with her. Unbelievable.

      Can someone help me with this ?
      I lost my way. Paypal only tell me to contact my card provider, while I paid with paypal balance . What a joke.

    14. Update.

      Paypal by force closed my case already, since I can't provided them with tracking number (obviously)
      So I can't make a claim anymore.

      Hiatari ignored me for weeks now (both my pm and mail) . Though it seems she login to this forum as if nothing happen.
