      She is telling me she didn't really think the job was good in the first place that is why she never send it and then she had to move out of her house so she npw wants us to give her some more chance to redo the job from the start...
      I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but why do i suddenly feel happy to atleast hear that she is in speaking terms with us again?!
      I'll be waiting with anticipation to see if this time everything will become right again!^____________________^

      Viya has indeed changed and moved to a new address but it isn't
      Japan and is stated as unknown to most for now as she probably prefers it remains this way...As far as we know she is still using her ID in naver.com to login....there is a rumor that she possibly had decided sometime ago to sell her entire Doll related collection.After further investigation it was found out that there is no sale or feedback left to any of the two forums that could indicate that our heads were being sold though sale topics or auctions..The people involved in this or helping us and we will keep an open eye for further updates on this case..Hoping that one day everything will come to a happy end..^___________________^

    2. Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about that!! I hope things will still resolve well.

      One time I had a problem with an antique doll seller in Germany. Luckily I had his real name and address, so I simply contacted his town's local police precinct by email. A detective replied with where I could send my hard-copy info and I sent him a written account of the the situation and all relevant documents right away. When the detective received my materials he let me know that the seller had been notified that he was a respondent in a fraud case. The item in question was 2,000 USD in value. In any case the seller immediately contacted me and refunded my money.

      I don't know if something like that is possible with Korea, but it's worth a try.

    4. I had this reply to one of my messages I've send to the adresses I found:
      Sadly, the Korean police and prosecutors are profoundly uninterested in fraud cases as a general rule, and in the woes of nonresidents as well. The victim needs to present him or her self to the investigators in person, plus the police generally have to be able to find the fraudster to interview him as well. So if you&#8217;re a nonresident foreigner who&#8217;s gotten cheated by a Korean, the odds are stacked against you.

      that means We'll have to to find one of the people who the artist also came short with the services living in Seoul and ask them to run an internet fraud charge in the nearest police station of the artist's residence. Or have some random Korean person who is willing to make the moves on the case cause they need a real Representative there to take this seriously.

    5. It may help more if there are others in your situation... have you started a thread in the Problem Transactions forum? It sounds like you have a valid grievance and probably should start with this. Has the artist been formally paged? I think you need to PM a mod to do that, but I'm not 100% sure. Do read up in the stickies area there if you haven't already!

Yes the artist has been paged and yet the artist has somewhat been commercialized and became famous also through DOA the transactions didn't happen directly through DOA so this message is not about this particular case or transactions but more about the options a person has against a doll case within the certain Korean district...:sweat:sweat:sweat

      She/He is also a member of DoA too?
      You can ask Korean members here to help you and look for this fraud.
      But, I doubt they've free time to do that since they're maybe busy with their lives~
      Did you contact your makeup artist again and again?
      Sometimes, emails can be lost...

    9. as famous as they could get...but I'm sorry I don't think I should reveal anything more about it since it's not a direct DOA transaction :sweat....We've contacted the artist again and again..the first 4 months I was getting replies like "-I'm doing an art gallery though I have finished your items I'm so sorry I'll send them back as soon as I can" and it's true my items were finished and revealed to me about a month or more after the artist received them...but they never actually found their way back to my place..After the first 4 months(now 9 months) of excuses the artist then 'disappeared'...Though I've been informed that they do visit their friend's blogs and commenting there and are good in their health..
      All the other numerous people who are suffering aren't even sure if their items are finished or not...but my items are even posted in the artist's personal homepage with my name on them as the owner and everything...
      I would prefer if Korean people would read this topic and see what info they can add to help us solve this rather than me starting to Pm people out of the blue and being a bother...>.<;;;;

    10. I would say you might post about this persons name and reputation on an open post in your livejournal and hope that the potential bad feedback is made more public ..that maybe will force the artist to come forward and reply-contact you
      I understand that you don't want to involve DOA,but you can build your case on Livejournal for people to read and see any photos ...all you want is your property back.
      I wish you good luck on this situation,document everything ,including screenshots of your evidence and if you see that artist logged on here as well
      People have gotten their property back in other situations ,just keep trying
      [I'm suprised someone who is well known would risk this kind of publicity]

You are right I'm beginning to see it myself that this can't be solved otherwise..We all are pretty considerate taken how this person is so well loved and amazing and was always kind but truth to be told there is nothing 'kind' about leaving 10-20(who knows-30??!I dunno) people in despair for so long...I don't want to draw any negative attention and really I'm so against and sad by 'internet hatred' and 'claim wars' but It's driving me mad...I was a very active DOA member and now cause of all this I've lost my passion and the whole situation has became that of a bitter taste(to top all that I have yet another-my 4th-internet bad deal to deal with)...I will be also opening this case to the bad_dolly_deals over at livejournal soon I had forgotten about them,thanks for pointing that out..someone has to do this and I'm sad for the artist but there is no other way..

      I'm going to check with some contacts who may be able to start something in Korea for us. Will update this when I have some info.

    16. I feels horrible that you can't seemingly do anything, doesn't it? I hate being useless and lied to.
      I also posted a topic about it here before and it was locked. This is an important issue with a lot of money and property stolen, which needs to be resolved.

      I saw! A new email? Ugh! I was going to give her the benefit of the doubt, but if she made a new email - she is just running. Would you be able to PM me the email? I don't think we should allow her to run anymore. :(

    18. I think after 9 months it's pretty clear there is no other explanation other than running away since we constantly hear there is nothing wrong with this person's health etc...
      But...I'm just not going to put up with this anymore and stay with my fingers crossed...My doll is been missing for so long and I want her back!!!....I dunno if 'they' feels it such a fuss for 'them' maybe 'they' can allow and we can send a person to go to 'their' place and will organize to take and send our items back finished or unfinished I really don't care even if I have to pay again for the shipping etc I want everything back so i can put this whole situation behind me I for one definitely do not feel good building up hatred inside of me for a person,I'm not really that kind...I did send a message in the new address with my home address+transaction information etc I suggest you do this one more time too...I'll be PMing you in a second....^ ^

      Dollmania I guess we can add the link once we post this to the bad dolly deals...But since the first post was locked so easily i think it's better to leave it as is for a while till we have the other topics ready...I'm sorry for the inconvenience...

    19. Thank you for sending the email, n66x. I have contacted her with my information once again. I also offered to pay for shipping again, as this might be one of the issues stopping her from doing so - maybe she has no money and is afraid to say so.

      Dollmania, I agree we should post the link when it has been posted on bad dolly deals.

      Personally, I would like to reveal the artist but do not want the thread to be locked. Most people involved are DOA members (if not all) and this being the biggest community - the best way to find help.

      I am tired of waiting 9 months and having all my calls for help locked or un-answered.
      The artist holds $400 worth of my property and has taken $120 from me for her work - which is apparently finished, but who knows?
      I'm sure she has at least $2000 worth of doll stuff. This is not something to take lightly.

    25. I just want to add my name to the list of people who have been defrauded by this lady.

      I paid her $220 USD to do the work in April. She promised me 15-30 days to do the work unless prevented by bad weather. She has two doll heads of mine. The dolls (tinies) cost a combined total of $695 USD.

      I have $915 USD invested in this, which is even more for me because I earn and pay in Canadian dollars, which are only worth 3/4 a US dollar.

      I don't have high expectations that I will see either a refund or my dolls heads again. But I do sincerely hope that happens for everyone who has suffered and been patient with this cheat.

      I also hope that anyone who loves bjds and ever hears her name hears this story about those of us who trusted her with our dolls and money... If I can help it she won't have the chance to do this to people again.

      A special thanks to Iannis for all the hard effort put into sorting this mess out.

      And, it'll give us even more helpful information if you guys could provide some more pictures of her faceup styles.

    30. Mine was a Volks School C head, to be painted as a girl. I never got a photo back of what she was painted like. If her email was correct then it SHOULD be done, but if not it's probably blank.

      Edit: Description I gave ViYa for the type of face up I wanted : "Sugar sweet and cute. Lots of pink and lots of gloss on the lips".

    33. I'd be happy to translate messages you would like to send the forum mods.
      As far as the things coming up for sale, I don't think there are any of the heads in question.
      Also, the feed back for viYa's sister is mostly for eyes, full dolls and other materials not just heads.
      There is a possibility that she might sell the heads with bodies, but I'm not certain.
      I'll continue to keep a lookout. :)

    34. I sent to ViYa a Customhouse Petite AI Gabriel head. It was blank. I never received any notification from ViYa that the work had been completed.

      To save shipping Bambicrony sent to her on my behalf a Bella Bambi Marianne Head, also blank.

      ViYa confirmed receipt of both heads by email to me.

      She confirmed the style of makeup I was seeking. These were my instructions to her:

      "I think I would like the face-up for CH Gabriel to NOT be like Elf Sisley's with the special design. Instead...more like your standard face-up with lips like on Pepe:

      and with eyebrows to suit her face (you decide) in neutral grey or brown color (she will not be a redhead doll - so please no 'red' eyebrows).

      For Marianne, I would like her to be more like Elf Sisley [​IMG]- perhaps with a pretty pale green or purple eyeshadow and small designs that are smaller than Sisley and equal on both sides? How does this sound?"

      I watch the YJP listings pretty carefully and I haven't seen a Gabriel head with a ViYa face-up, nor have I seen a Marianne head with decorative make-up for that matter.

      But any help offered is most gratefully received.

      I really don't expect she got around to doing my commission. She sent me a note on Aug. 8 promising to do it "next week". It was the last contact I had with her. Further notes to her were not replied to.

      The ideal outcome for me would be the return of my heads and a refund. But even the return of the heads would be nice.

    38. I got the same email too. I am cautiously optimistic. I think we need to keep the pressure on her....after all, I've received lots of her excuses before... However, the fact that she has bothered to get in touch is a very good sign. I think this has helped and I thank everyone here on DoA who has done anything to lend their support or assistance!

    40. Just thought I'd update this post. I'm not sure everyone did, but a lot of us received emails from ViYa saying she had finished our face ups and she was send photos to each of us at different times.

      It appears she sent photos of my face up to the wrong person but everything was worked out. I got my photos and the face up was perfect, I'll update again when she ships and I receive my head. ^_^

    42. I have been waiting for ViYa to complete a commission for me since November 2010. She has completed other commissions for me and I knew she was slow but I am now beginning to worry.

      Over the last few months I have had at least four emails from her saying she has shipped my head back to me with EMS tracking numbers (each time a different tracking number) and each time there was no tracking information and the head did not arrive. Now she is not answering any of emails.

      I'm wondering if there is anyone else in this situation or has some information?
