Resolved Paging chubi

I really don't like having to do this, but I feel enough time has elapsed that some sort of action is required.

I joined chubi on an Iplehouse Split in late April, on a Layaway, which was paid off in late July. She last contacted me on August 12th, saying that the doll had arrived in her country (Rio, Brazil), but that there was a customs charge on it. I said fine, I was expecting that, and to let me know what I owed proportionally in the Customs charge, plus final shipping of the doll head to me. She said she was very busy and would get back to me "as soon as I have some time" with my total.

I understand that it must have been crazy down there, with the Olympics going on, but the lack of communication is worrisome. I would have been fine with freeing him from customs and postponing final shipping until AFTER the Olympics, but that course of action was never discussed.

She has been offline for over a week and a half, and I am just very nervous, since I don't do a lot of international transactions. I have sent her messages asking for contact here, and on the DeviantArt account listed in her profile.

Up until this point, communication and timely-ness have been excellent and very pleasant.

 

I have gotten her PM, and the reason for her absence is quite understandable. I believe there will be no further issues with communication, and our transaction will be completed soon to both parties complete satisfaction.

 

My doll head arrived from Brazil safe and sound. Chubi was very apologetic for the delay, and kindly offered partial coverage of shipping cost to me, as well as including a gift with the head, as compensation. This transaction has been completed, and positive feedback will be left momentarily.

Real life sometimes gets in the way, and the things we NEED to do, get in the way of things we WANT TO do. That's all that happened here.

I am 100% satisfied with this transaction, and this Paging thread should not reflect badly on chubi's Marketplace reputation.
