Based on the LJ entries, I think one person was getting a tracking number and Rinoa was getting a refund? Not sure if that actually happened though.

 

Huh. Why is a refund being given instead of sending the doll? Did the doll ever exist? Was it sold to someone else? Or is that what Rinoa wanted?

i thought rinoa (if given the choice) wanted the doll over the money? wouldn't it be simpler to just send off the doll than have to deal with money issues again?

 

My thinking is that they do not HAVE the dolls, either because they lost them, sold them elsewhere, or did not have them to begin with.

 

Memisama, I am very glad that your item is finally being sent out. It's sad that it took THIS LONG to get such a simple task accomplished. I hope it is everything you hoped for.

 

I hope the doll gets to you exactly as it was when you purchased it-- and I hope things work out for Rinoa, too!

 

Rinoa gave an update on another board which I believe we´re not supposed to link here. (I can give you the link by PM if needed).

I hope she comes here, too, to give the update in her own words - but in short, from what I gather there, she was contacted by Sinful Resin´s sister who told her that to have the whole matter finally over and done with, she was getting a refund (which she has by now, at least partly, received).

Sister apparently said she´d just send her the Lishe but with all that´s gone down she does not think Rinoa deserves the doll.

 

Wow. That's one heck of a way to do business. "You complained that it took months to ship so you don't deserve the item. I refuse to send it." WTF?

Well ... I've known of Anneguish for a while (my first exposure was when she permanent markered her Mars to make him look like a cadaver, to which I threw a fit over-- oh well, her doll) but this just blows my mind. I mean, I don't think this is very rational of her. To hold out this whole situation on the principle of spite and pride seems ridiculous and doesn't help her problem of people "hounding" her. She's going to be demanded certain things of her until those certain things are executed. To outright refuse just makes her look bad-- not just as a doll owner and a merchant, but as a person. This seems awfully cold-hearted and it only puts further legal/financial pressure on her. Who would want that?

I've received half a refund, been told I shall get half this coming Friday.

And yes, Sinful Resin's sister believes because I've had absolutely no sympathy and emotion (lol, has she even READ my PMs or this thread?) that I don't deserve the doll, she would have sent her, had I not been so evil and cruel...*cough* I waited 7 months and was nothing but nice until I started hearing drawn out excuses which sounded like complete BS.

She also said she'd sue me for harassment if I tried taking legal action, mm hmm.

The nerve of some people though eh? Yes, Sinful Resin was trying so hard to get me my package MAYBE, and I know she offered to help because she wanted to help, but why take so long and make things worse? You're just making yourself and your friend look bad.

I heard from another user on DoA (who shall remain anonymous) that Sinful Resin is just lazy and takes ages to get around to doing anything, after hearing this, I thought I'll wait awhile just incase and I heard nothing and saw her going to a bloody tea party! So I had to threaten legal action again, this is when it all blew up and I was the evil one who had no sympathy for anyone and was just greedy and wanting my doll....which I paid for....

Funny how I get a response when I threatned them, but when I was nice and sympathetic I just got excuses.

Hopefully I will get the rest of my money on Friday, I would have preferred to have the doll of course but Ami (anneguish) probably sold it to someone else(since she's always going on about needing money and owes people money), or broke it, or something.

Sister: Rinoa was teh meen! She thinks that my sister is naughty because she lied to cover up and draw out a situation regarding someone who was so ill and poor, she had to get expensive dollies and party in New York. Please tell her off!

Any way you look at it, this whole situation could've and should've been handled better by Ami. And her friends that led everyone to believe that they were taking on the responsibility of either getting in touch with Ami and/or handling shipping items out for her only added to the problem, instead of being true friends and making her fulfill her obligations. If Ami were a minor child, or even an underage teen, this immature behavior might be expected to a degree, but all concerned here are adults (over 18 at least) and this is inexcuseable! It's absolute BS for whomever's sister to say that someone who paid $400 for a doll months ago, and was willing to pay in full weeks back had the Ami's Paypal account not been closed, is now made into the guilty party! My gut tells me they are all telling a tall tale and the doll doesn't even exist....nor the dice, or the other items that were supposedly shipped. She wiedled her way into Volks and Mikey's good graces and got them to agree to wait for payment and ship the Diva Olivia Morgan One-off to her, but she doesn't have it together enough to get to a Post Office....riiiiiiiiiight. Its so sad because the entire doll community can get tainted by these bad apples. At least this kind of act won't play in the real world for long without concequences.

what bothers me about this situation, is that it has taken so many monthes for people to get what they paid for! i looked back and apparantly, this thread was started in JANUARY....and these issues are STILL going on THIS month....since when does it take 8 and 9 MONTHES to get to a post office to send people's stuff out??? or to simply TURN ON a computer, and give a refund?

Sorry guys, I feel for the Ill, and for the weary, but no way should it take that long. there is absolutely NO EXCUSE other than DEATH, that should make that alright.

we have to keep in mind, that these people who sell to us, generally, are not our FRIENDS, they are people we are BUYING from. REALLY no different than a store.

If you ordered something from Luts, and it was supposed to be sent out 8 monthes ago, and you still didn't have it, would you really care about the personal issues Luts was having?
It's not professional. Illness really is no excuse to abandon your duties as a seller. I have been GRAVELY ill, and even been in the HOSPITAL, and i've asked a friend to grab the "blue doll shirt off my dresser and send it to this addy....."

Someone who genuinely cares about their reputation as a seller, and as DOAer, should really take better care about sending out someone's personal belongings. Once the other person has sent you the money for something, that item is NO LONGER YOURS......you HAVE something that belongs to someone else.

I read the blog entry, and i have to say, that CERTAINLY does not sound like someone "sick" to me.....based on the fact that "animal deaths" (some of which apparently were not even HERS) are being used as partial excuses, just seems lame to me. Sounds like someone is making excuses, instead of getting up off their butt, to fix their situation.

and i also agree....If you have time to go to a doll event, then you most CERTAINLY have time to take a single trip to the post office, to send out allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the things you owe people.

and in all acuality, i'm seeing alot of people saying "It may not be my business", but it IS....even if you are not "involved", you are a DOAer.....you do transactions on here, and who isn't. You DESERVE to know who is scamming people, and who IS NOT....so it is EVERY member's business.

 

Has their been any updates on those situations yet? I certainly hope that everyone gets reimbursed/gets their items

 

You better hope they didn't lie about the price of the item just to p*ss you off, I can imagine them marking mine as $2k just to rub salt into a wound if I was still getting it.

And no, I haven't recieved the other half of my refund yet, it isn't technically friday yet though for them.

 

actually, if they did that, then HONESTLY, that's when i WOULD sue....because THEN they are dealing out mental damages, and stress...and THAT is worth something. if they do that to the money, don't accept it. Send it back. LOL (Like you didn't think of that....)

I was promised my refund too (for a slightly more modest amount) and oh look, I haven't got it. Shocked I am, truly shocked.

 

*facepalm* The refunds aren't coming through? I know Rinoa got a partial one but last I heard she hadn't gotten the rest of it and it was overdue according to the date they had promised.

Ishmael, did you get any contact about why you haven't gotten it yet? Or have they just disappeared again?

If Anneguish runs with the money after promising the refund, I think it settles the question of whether it was all an innocent mistake, or a sign of moral corruption. Shame, shame, shame.

I hope those refunds do come through.

 

To clear things up, I got my final refund, for the correct amount.

Hopefully I won't have to deal with anything like this again.

Yay Memisama! At least it worked out for someone. It's slightly pathetic that it's taken them this long to make any type of progress. Ishamael, I hope everything works out for you as well.
