Out of this world~ (Green Gem of Doll Cia)

Another box opening, I'm very delighted about this one! Cia was a sculpt I always found charming since I got into the hobby, but I never had a solid idea for what I'd do with her and GoD's old yosd body left a lot to be desired so she wasn't high on my list for quite a few years. Then GoD included her in their discontinuation event earlier this year, and while browsing it again I stumbled on the fact that they'd updated their YOSD body since I last looked. (and alice's collections kindly updated their listing to offer it! Yay!!)

...And then I remembered GoD offers green resin, which I have unexpectedly come to love... and well, I had An Idea (tm) and it was all over for me.







Pretty CoA and card! The box and pillows are all very much my aesthetic, love that green.


When my partner and I opened the pillow up, we both squealed like kids lmao.
This is Pyxis, or Pixi/Sissy for short! She's an impish alien girl and little sister to my other alien, Starchaser. Her face is just the sassiest little thing, and a little kitty-like which I loooove.


The body is double jointed and poses wonderfully, and her little hands are soo cute. The resin is smooth and sturdy, and she's strung just right. I love holding her!!!

I ordered her a pair of very space-y eyes from the lovely GalaxyNook on Etsy.

And since I thought it might interest someone, I took photos of her compared to my Doll Chateau Bella in green skin. It's essentially a perfect match to DC, just a touch greener/more saturated! (At least for YOSDs... I've seen GoD MSDs that are more pale green. Not sure why that is?)



And to end off, I did a digital mockup of her faceup and wig. Haven't settled on exact hair accessory or face sparkles, but I like to feel that stuff out as I go.



And that's that! I'm so happy to have her, taking her head off for ONE day had me all fussy lmao. Maybe I should do her wig first so I can spend more time with her...

I didn't expect her pillow to be so exact, that gem of doll really loves their green lmao!
